Physical or Special?

Will the moves revert to the way they were before D/P/Pt? as in all fightings are physical all water moves are special? What are your takes on that?

Penumbra May 10th, 2009 2:14 PM

This.. is such.. a waste thread..

Here's a hint on my take:

Fire Red/Leaf Green = Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
Heart Gold/Soul Silver = Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

Why the hell would they revert to Gen 3 when it's clearly
a Gen 4 Johto Remake.

^ Point made! :3

Nintendo has learned to vary between different moves over the years, instead of making them all the same, they learned to separate them between physical and special during the D/P/Pt era. And since the Johto remake is apart of the D/P/Pt era(Gen. IV), I do not think they would swithc back to Gen. III. As what Penumbra said.

They're RE-making this game, making it up to date. Physical attacks will stay physical, special attacks will stay special.

That's like saying FR/LG would only have one Special stat.

I agree with Naoi. It is a fourth generation remake.

YEah, I would strongly believe it'll stick to the same formula used in DPPt. Or else, like said, there would be major compatability issues between the games.

Logan May 29th, 2009 11:22 AM

Hmm... Interesting thread. Well, it is a generation 4 game. So why would they revert to being generation 3?

Zelda May 29th, 2009 11:26 AM

I'd have to agree with f l a s h and Goodies. Why would we want the fightning moves all to be physical moves again anyways? I like it how the way it is in DPPT and I think it should stay that way for this remake.

Ayselipera May 29th, 2009 3:52 PM

They will most likely change generation II
to the way moves are used now. It would
be better that way anyways.

Pokemon games aren't suppose to revert back to they where before, they are suppose to get better. So they will keep the moves the way they are in DPPt

Artemis May 29th, 2009 6:07 PM

They'll keep it because of compatability reasons, and most likely either keep it the same for the next gen or change it up a bit.

Haza May 29th, 2009 10:34 PM

They have gone too far to exaggerate physical and special attributes to do such things.
