The TMs of Heart Gold and Soul Silver
Since Pokemon Gold and Silver had completely different TMs, does anyone think they will change the TMs so far or just add them to the list?
|
I don't know but zap cannon better be a TM *remerbers "Snorlax used Zap cannon!"*
|
They'll probably have the same TM's as DPPt since FRLG had the same TM's as RSE.
|
I hope so! Dynamicpunch is like, my favorite punch in Pokemon.
Though, I highly doubt they would keep it. |
They'll keep D/P/Pt TMs, but have move tutors for moves like Zap Cannon and Dynamicpunch. I hope that you can get multiple versions of all the TMs this time, as well.
|
Interesting question - I can see it going either way, actually - although on second thoughts...maybe not. FR/LG went with the same TM list as RSE's in the end, possibly I guess due to the fact that one can trade TMs. If you tried to trade a TM that wasn't in D/P/Pt... well, I doubt that's easily possible. One could always disable trading of TMs, but that I don't see happening - TMs after all are normally tradeable items.
So based on that, I think the TMs stand to be the same as D/P/Pt's - seems to be a necessary outcome. The HMs though could change, considering you can't trade those (meaning don't expect Defog and what-not over GSC's Flash or say, Whirlpool), and I suppose one way they could get around the fact TMs would probably have to be the same is via good old move tutors. (I believe Crystal started it, in fact, in the form of a man on certain days (Wednesdays, for one), teaching Ice Beam/Flamethrower/Thunderbolt by the Goldenrod Game Corner - if he stays though I thing he'd be teaching different moves this time around). Hopefully ones that teach the move more than once this time too. (If a similar thing as Platinum had it with the moves tradable for Shards happens, I'll be ok with it, certainly). |
I hope the TM of Zap Cannon was there as well!
Zap Cannon is cool! As well as Snorlax is using it! Epic! |
Well. I was about to rampage here, shouting out "WASTE THREAD!" parading around, but someone's beat me to it (and put it in an unfamiliar friendly tone :() Anyway, FR/LG TMs = R/S/E TMs. Also, the tradable incompatibility is in place. This is obviously a big "NONO!" but I do hope they allow move tutors (Like the ones in Emerald AND Platinum!). The moves were sick. I remember buying Thunder/Ice/Fire Punch from the Dept store. You could either a) Destroy the Elite four w/ Thunder Punch 'phlosion b) Destroy the Elite Four w/ Ice Punch 'Gatr Good times.. But seriously now. I think there should be one move tutor to have all the Punches, one with all the Kicks, and one with other. The Punches (Thunder/Fire/Ice/Mega/Dynamic/Mach) tutor will be in the underground where the haircutters are, in Goldenrod, the kicks (Blaze/Mega/Jump/Rolling/HiJump) could be Cianwood, the Other (Zap Cannon/DPPt Moves/Forgotten Johto TMs) could be in Kanto somewhere.. |
Just add some TMs. don't mess up with this plz!

At any rate, I like the ideas you had on the move tutors there and what they have. IIRC though, there be Punch move tutors in Platinum already though. But heck, why not have another one, as a throw-back to GSC's Punch TMs? XD |
Why do threads like this even exist?
Like Fire Red and Leaf Green, there will most likely be move tutors teaching moves that were TMs in originals. Here are the 2nd Gen TM moves Unavailable in 4th Gen: TM01 Dynamic Punch* TM02 Headbutt TM03 Curse TM07 Zap Cannon TM12 Sweet Scent TM24 DragonBreath TM40 Harden TM43 Detect TM50 Nightmare** *Available in Emerald as a Move Tutor **Available in XD as a Move Tutor Probably like how Emerald had all the FR/LG Tutor Moves, plus new ones, HG/SS will most likely do the same. These are 3rd Gen Move Tutors(That wer once RGBY TMs) I'd like to see make a return: TM08 Body Slam TM10 Double-Edge TM18 Counter TM19 Seismic Toss TM31 Mimic TM35 Metronome TM36 Selfdestruct* TM41 Softboiled TM43 Sky Attack* *Found only in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness These are some RGBY TMs I'd like to see tutors for the first time: TM04 Whirlwind -More Phazing TM16 Pay Day - Very fun move TM49 Tri Attack - A Reliable Special STAB for Normal Types(Most of them got this move in RGBY via TM) |
Most likely they'll revamp the TMs to match those of DPPt...They might even add in Tutors for access to some special moves as well.
|
The most probable thing they'll do is add some moves we had as TMs in the Original GS pair turned into Move Tutor moves for HGSS. And just like FRLG, 1 or 2 DPPt HMs will be turned into regular moves (Dive, anyone?) You know what's more epìc than a Zap-Cannoning Snorlax? A Cursing Suicune. O_O |
I don't think they would make any new TM's for the game. After all, this is only a remake not a new generation.
|
LOL is this the oldest thread or what?!?!? Ya everybody knows that they use the ones in dppt! Lololol

...And just throwing it out there for you, HG/SS does not have the exact same HM line up as DPPt. HG/SS has Whirpool return as HM05 rather than having Defog. That said, I don't think there's any need in keeping such an old thread open any longer. Locked |
