News today- The pic that will be famous and a train wreck.

First the pic.

Yep they finally got leaked.
Now the train wreck?
http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/19422480/detail.html
So then people are starting to crash trains while text messaging. Ban phones on planes now!
Oh and the news video.

Extremely dumb of them to take that picture. Though (in my opinion) it's really beautiful... still, I hope they think it was worth causing a horrible commotion for the shot. I guess it's all over now, so what's done is done.

As for the train wreck.. gosh, nobody seems to be paying attention anymore- I'd like to say "Everybody shouldn't be punished for one mistake", but I just know that something like that will happen in the future if action isn't taken.

Perhaps you should meet some of the victims of 9-11, and tell them your self. I doubt they would find it as humors as you.

It is one of the worst things to happen to America. Over 3,000 civilians died!!!!

GRRRR, I am so pissed right now, gRRRRRRRR

Wow. That's downright sick. Thousands of innocent people being killed by an act of terrorism isn't something you forget about.

Where's the humour in three thousand people and rescuers dying and a nation that mourns that loss?

Tinhead Bruce May 11th, 2009 4:41 PM

Ugh, guys, she's not saying that 9/11 itself was funny lern 2 red. She was saying (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) that she finds it funny (not as in haha funny, more like strange) that we can never get over tragic events. They are tragic, yes, but like I posted in another thread a while back, the terrorists get what they want when we never stop thinking about it- recognition, and power through fear-. We can still have it in our hearts without constantly living in fear.

Legobricks May 11th, 2009 4:43 PM

Exactly what Jlizard27 said.
Enough then, either post about the original topic or express your personal concern via PM only.

Back to the picture, that is not that great of a picture, notice how the photographer got something in the lower right corner.

Tyrantrum May 11th, 2009 5:14 PM

I am very stupid for asking this, but, I'm not quite understanding what the picture is about. ;____;

It's about 9/11, right? Because I'm so very confused. .__.
(Don't flame/bash me please)

Air Force One, the president's plane, flew really low around New York, New York a few weeks ago. No one was told about it. So everyone panicked because they only saw a plane, and thought it was going to be a repeat of 9/11

It was all so that they could "update the photo album." Which is what sparked the controversy.

Tyrantrum May 11th, 2009 5:32 PM

Ah, OK. Poor Obama, getting tons of hate mail for that. :P [/joke]
Tragic event eight years ago = more hype. :(

Spinor May 11th, 2009 9:40 PM

Umm... Is it me, or does the plane pic look like a video game? A 3D remodeling of the plane over New York? I don't know if they are supposed to be like that, but it looks strange. :\

Tinhead Bruce May 12th, 2009 3:30 AM

Hunh! It does! THe plane definitely looks animated, and at least to me, when you look at the Statue of Liberty it looks like something from like Rollercoaster Tycoon, the animation style.

♣Gawain♣ May 12th, 2009 4:01 AM

The pic looks cool, but if it's really the reason for the crash... then...

.Fenris May 12th, 2009 4:14 AM

LOL, the flag on the tail is backwards, what a crappy photoshop.

Richard Wagner May 12th, 2009 4:26 AM

Eh, Obama eating a hamburger the wrong way and not praying in public seem to be subject to more criticism than this already.

As far as I can tell, the photo looks real, and that just goes to show how realistic video games are getting these days.

Now I've analyzed it, it's not really real... and you're right about that.

After taking a closer look, your right, it is fake.

Well, aint that a bunch of bs, all that crap for a poorly Photoshoped pic.

Captain Fabio May 12th, 2009 5:52 AM

The statue doesn't even look right from just looking at if first time, I don't even live in America!

I lol'ed at the flag.

pokerus34 May 12th, 2009 6:00 AM

Just how and why did they take that picture! I wish they would come closer... And crash (Oh, how evil of me... What would happen to Liberty?) XD

I'm gonna read the train wreck incident... Poor people...

P.S.

That's actually how the flag looks on the plane, nothing to do with bad photoshopping.

On the other side of the plane it is the 'correct' way round. It's a traditional fancy that takes after how a traditional flag is reversed on the opposite side so that the same respective part of the detailing is on the near-pole side.

TRIFORCE89 May 14th, 2009 6:13 PM

I still don't why they had to actually fly the plane up there. Waste of money. Just photoshop the plane into the picture.
