Trading In D/P/P
I really hate how it's done in the Pokemon games.
I mean couldn't they just make it to where you trade from your PC and it's instant You both select a Pokemon and then it transfers (No giant scene where the Pokemon flys in the sky) Just a nice simple here you go. Then your game saves. I mean doesn't that seen more effective instead of having to trade 6 Pokemon at a time. (Taking around maybe 20 minutes per 6 because of the giant scene) I mean just simply trading from the PC having all your Pokemon in one spot. Seems much easier. I got this idea from Digimon World, Digimon World: Dawn, and Digimon World: Dusk. I mean it's quick and simply. You select your Pokemon from to trade from your PC. (So does the other person) Then it shows the to Pokemon up for offer. Then you hit accept. And it saves. I mean honestly.......... Anyone agree/disagree? Ideas to add on? (I suppose this could be said for all games, but I think mostly for D/P/P with the WiFi capabilities.) |
I think that they could still do that process but for those who doesn't want to see it all just press the A or B button to skip it all.
|
True, but if they do that then the other person who did not select to watch it will still have to wait for the other to watch it and get done with it.
|
GAMEFREAK probably put the feature there if there is a long loading time within the trading process. If the movie was not there, then you would might be watching a black screen for the same amount of time the movie lasts. So, it is probably something to watch during the waiting.

Well like I stated in my first post in the 3 Digimon games. Trading is done instantly. How do you explain that? |

Digimon. They have Evolution lines which go with them in trades not to metion the evolution lines not take sense you can degenerate(Dedigivolve) Plus they have experience, movesets, items equiped, certain exp gained(meaning dark, beast, insect, ect) it basically goes on too. So why does the trade still happen instantly? I'm still convinced it's gamefreak messing with pokemon players. :p |
i hate how it takes forever to trade over.
I have boxes full of pokemon to trade over from diamond and pearl over to platinum. The overall time needs to be cut down |

But thanks for your opinion. :) Also I think they should of added something like hack checking if the trading is gonna take so long. |
I agree, you should be able to turn off that animation.
But I have to say, i seriously doubt that there's a load time that big. I'm no computer genius, but transferring the data for ALL of your pokemon onto PBR takes less time than one trade and it has to transfer all the same numbers as it would trading for EVERY pokemon you own. |

See what I'm saying. I don't understand why it takes forever. Gamefreak is messing with us. |
I agree. You should be able to trade from the PC and have the ability to turn the animation on / off. This would make it MUCH easier to transfer bulk pokemon.
|
Its really horribly done in platinum, especially with the buggy arsed GTS.
|
Like it was said before in this thread that the animation is there so you have something to watch instead of just a blank screen, while you wait for the data to transfer. And why are you comparing Digimon trading to Pokemon trading?
|
I believe that the reason for the long trading scene, is because it's processing data for the trade during the scene.

And I'm comparing then cause it's the same principle. They both have large amounts of data transfered. But one is instant and the other takes forever. Quote:
