Debate! Azalea or Ecruteak.

So then guys a debate thread! Now then the picture in question is this:

Some say its Azalea some say Ecruteak. IF you put it next to a certain well it just doesn't make sense.

You guys? I personally see it as the burnt tower. The path in Azalea will be clearly green and I doubt it would change to a paved road so fast.

If it's Azalea, thatn that's Kurt's House. If it's Ecruteak, than it's the bottom portion of the Burned tower.

I'm guessing it's the former because the NPC is in the same place as the one by Kurts house in GSC. Burned Tower has 2 NPCs, one of which is an old man and the other a little girl.

Ah but the old man is crystal only!

I never got that far in Silver. >.>;

So I guess it can be either or, based on it's position of it on the overworld.

I could be the burned tower, as the ground around the building is without vegitation, although the event took place a couple-hundred of years before the games.

EDIT: and if you look a little to the right of the building, you can see what appears to be a burnt plank of wood.

And the buildings look nothing like a PC or a gym. I mean under and right of course.

Yeah... I made myself look like quite the idiot XD

I see it.

Nothing really to debate, then.

Its Ecruteak.
If you look at The slowpoke well(Which is beside the entrance to Azalea) picture You can see the trees are deffrent not to mention The road. So it isnt Azalea.

I personally feel it is very likely the Burned Tower of Ecruteak. For one, last time I checked, I don't believe Kurt's house was on a mound of earth, while if I remember correctly, Ecruteak's Burned Tower was.

I also don't recall Kurt's house being so far over, either. Which just adds to the idea it is the Tower.

Just a few things that don't strike the 'tower' image as being a house in Azalea:

- Paving. I don't recall Azalea ever having a path made of stone.
- Trees. There's a fair difference in the trees from the well picture and the 'tower' picture.
- Position. If it was meant to be Kurt's house... I don't recall it ever being so far over.
- Style. Looks too 'fancy' to be any kind of normal house. XD Not to mention the 'hanging piece of wood' pointed out by Dunsparce.

And people think arguing about the new female character is stupid? This is a debate over a map design for pete's sake.

Anywho, thats azalea. There are no houses adjacent to the burned tower and Kurt's house is slightly above the center and the houses are very close.

There's a slight stairway to kurts house implying some elevation is there. There is some on the burned tower to mind you. LOL pink textified.

That definitly looks like Ecruteak's Burnt Tower, no questions asked.

I could go into great detail, but it's midnight and I'm really sleepy.

PokeMaster1 May 15th, 2009 6:36 AM

The one on the right is Ecruteak, and it is the bottom of the Burnt Tower. One reason you can see is that you can see just a glimps of the Gym's roof on the bottom of the pic.

The one on the left is the entrance to Slopepoke well, so it's obviously Azalea.

Jαcκςση May 15th, 2009 6:38 AM

To me, it definitely looks like Ecruteak. I remember it having real roads and stuff, while azalea was like that grass road.. and it's the same in these.

We were happily discussing that here, why do we need another thread? D:
