Do you like daylight saving?

Well! Today is my states referrendum on daylight saving and there's a good chance that it'll lose and why can't the damn people just vote yes and deal with it at the end of the year-- back to the story.

Um, do you like it? :D

I do, since it makes it easier to talk to other people who're currently in daylight saving.

Also if "no" wins, someone is going down.

Yes Yes Yes Of Course!

Daylight savings time is pretty fun, although I do like the night time.
So it goes both ways, like a double edged sword. :/

Like it or not, we have to deal with it. =/

To be honest it doesn't really bother me. DST has always been there so I don't really notice it. People complain that they lose an hour of their day or whatever, but at the end of the day it doesn't make a difference.

^ this.

I rarely ever pay attention to DST since either way the scheme of the day runs normally, it wouldn't make much difference in my eyes. I can see people having a few little problems with their sleeping schedule, but it is just an hour difference at most.

Vie May 16th, 2009 1:26 AM

I hate it, but the whole country here does that. Its unnecessary.

♣Gawain♣ May 16th, 2009 2:02 AM

I don't live in the US, and I didn't experience DST yet. But it think it'll be good 'cause we could use the extra times... I think.

.inLOVE May 16th, 2009 3:31 AM

I like it, because a longer amount of time until dark allows me to get stuff done and still go for a walk or something.

Legobricks May 16th, 2009 6:29 AM

No, I despise it like nothing else. It's not the real time, just an arbitrary 'oh let's put the clocks forward to "make more day light hours"'. It's confusing, inconvenient, et caetera.

Klippy May 16th, 2009 10:47 PM

I think it's good for keeping track of things, but I think it'd be interesting if the world went by one time, instead of confusing time zones (at times) and all that junk. :D

Snivi May 16th, 2009 11:10 PM

No because I always forget about it. It sucks to be late or too early to work.

Alexithymia~ May 16th, 2009 11:14 PM

Some people go into a panic like;
'Is it the good one? Or the bad one?'
i.e Go backwards or forwards etc.
By choice my clock is always an hour forward. So really... I'm an hour ahead of them anyway.
I don't mind. I'm not going to start a protest or make a fan club about it. An indifference.

Alex May 18th, 2009 3:18 PM

I hate it because it screws me up for a few days. Usually losing an hour takes more time to get used to than gaining one, so yap.

Actually wait. I love gaining an hour, but I hate losing one. Just like about everyone XD

Åzurε May 18th, 2009 10:14 PM

Above statement = my position on DST too.

Gerri Shin May 19th, 2009 8:37 AM

eh it takes me about a day and a half to get used to the losing an hour, but less than a day for the gaining of an hour. I really can't be bothered too much by it so I just need to learn en it actually happens each year.

processr May 19th, 2009 8:51 AM

It doesn't really bother me, and the fact that over here you're constantly reminded about it on TV really invalidates any excuses about forgetting. It was a little troublesome this year in that the clocks went forward on the morning before my girlfriend was due to catch a coach, but we remembered to put our clocks forward the night before.

Oh, one time when the clocks went back an hour someone in my year came in late for school. His excuse was that the clocks went back. His excuse was flawless except for one small matter - if he had come in at what he thought was the normal time he'd be an hour early, not an hour late. xD

Cherrim May 19th, 2009 9:52 AM

I hate DST. It's not like every country in the world uses it and even in Canada there's a province that's static and doesn't change its time. Honestly, I don't see the point in DST. I mean, yeah I get why it was instated originally but to me the benefit is miniscule. :( I'd rather not have to deal with it.

On a super personal level, I adore getting an extra hour to sleep in once a year but on the other hand, adjusting to an hour earlier is utter hell. :( Not worth it.

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ May 24th, 2009 5:03 AM

it doesn't bother to me neither does it matter to me at all. Its not like I need to extra sleep and when we lose an hour it doesn't effect me at all either
