Pikachu or Raichu?

Hmmmm Well I need some help in deciding if I should evolve my Pikachu (Lightball) or Keep it as it is, Right now It's level 30, and knows Volt Tackle, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, & Quick Attack. :/ Also if you guys think I could teach him better moves just tell me....(And if this is in the wrong thread then I apologize, and please do move it to the correct one)

Oh yeah and I'm playing on my Platinum, and I do plan on using him against friends and WiFi

What did ash do? i didn't let Pikachu evolve

Second Coming of Jebus May 16th, 2009 7:44 PM

Evolve it, Raichu is awethum.

Weavile1110101 May 16th, 2009 7:56 PM

Pikachu+Light Ball = Awesome Attack Stats!
Raichu = More awesome in almost every way.

Higher HP, Def, SpDef, Speed and only slightly less attack stats. Evolve it only after you get all the moves you want though (like most stone evolvers, learns almost NO MOVES after evolution).

Thanks guys, I was kinda wondering if the Light Ball was worth keeping a Pikachu as a Pikachu xD I'm still kinda feeling weird about evolving it, but w/e I'll get used to my Raichu hehe

I'd say Raichu. Partly because I love Raichu. xD;
Raichu is much stronger than Pikachu. Don't be Ash. Please don't.

In any case, you can choose not to evolve Pikachu for greater speed(at least I believe that it's faster than Raichu) or you could go for strength and pick Raichu.

Though if it was me, I'd pick Raichu.

Base Speed
Pikachu: 90
Raichu: 100

Nope :P But that's how the show perceives it; they said Pikachu beat Lt. Surge's Raichu because it was faster...meh.

Word. ^_^ Raichu > Pikachu in most every way, plus he's killah tight looking. Who wouldn't want that sweet tail?

Agree with Raichu > Pikachu

Raichu's tail was awesome!!

Hmmm....Raichu seems better for battles I think.

Jadanx May 16th, 2009 9:48 PM

Pickachu... he is better than Raichu

Blaziken_Boy May 16th, 2009 10:15 PM

Ash's Pikachu had max IVs or some crap. Maybe Oak gave it PokéSteroids.

It depends. We can't answer this question, you must choose, speed or attack?

Apathetic_Yen May 16th, 2009 10:19 PM

Raichu for sure. Besides being just flat out awesome, his image hasn't been ruined by the anime.

Alexithymia~ May 16th, 2009 10:33 PM

Pikachu is quite cute but...
Raichi is a better battler. Stronger, cooler, etc.
I like the look of Raichu aswell :P

Unfortunately, we don't allow these kinds of threads in the D/P/Pt section; should it be for in-game use, there is no place to ask, because in general, you don't really need advice on which Pokemon to use. Though since you stated that you were planning on using this Pokemon against friends, I'll assume you are going to use it competitively, which would mean you would probably be best asking the question in the Individual Movesets/Incomplete Team thread of the Pokemon Strategies & Movesets section. Though please be sure to read the rules of the section, to be 100% certain.

Please be sure to keep these points in mind, when you seek assistance with your Pokemon in the future. ^^ Since I feel safe to assume you have finished with this thread, I'll go ahead and close it, though if you seek further assistance on the matter, please use the above-linked thread.

Closes~
