Recommended Content Managing System

Hello guys, how are you? I've decided to make a website. I've been thinking about it for a while and I've made my mind up. Once I did, I looked on the internet and went to w3schools and read about HTML and CSS. I did some more research on the internet and it turns out that if you want to put a lot of information on your site or nake it succesful, as mine will have to be, you need a Content Managing System. I looked up about these CMS and I found a vast array of different ones. The one I'm thinking of using is Joomla! because it has a wide range of features, add-ons and theme capabilities.

So, I'm asking you guys. Do you know of any good CMS? Do you use one currently on your site? Any CMS to stay away from? Most recommended? Thanks for all your help and consideration.

If you're looking for some easy stuff, try Drupal or Joomla!

Can you please explain which one you would rather use. This is my first site, however, I do have quite an extensive knowledge on HTML and CSS. I'm heading a bit towards Joomla! though. I've heard better things about it and it seems to be the overall better option. I don't have expirence in this field though, so I need your help.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I was taking Joomla! into great consideration since I've heard a lot of positive comments about it.

I would use php-nuke. It's very good.

Take a look at Etomite. It's been a few years since I've used it but it was really spectacular from what I remember.

I was just looking at the demo, it's pretty nice. I still prefer Joomla though.
