Lana. May 18th, 2009 12:53 PM

On another site, Lana in Latin means 'woolly'... no comments there.
Lana in Irish is 'attractive and peaceful'... errr, no.

From Behind The Name:

MICHAEL

Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, German, Czech, Biblical
Pronounced: MIE-kəl (English), MI-khah-el (German)

From the Hebrew name מִיכָאֵל (Mikha'el) meaning "who is like God?". This is a rhetorical question, implying no person is like God. Saint Michael was one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible. In the Book of Revelation in the New Testament he is portrayed as the leader of heaven's armies, and thus is considered the patron saint of soldiers.

So I'm as close to God as anyone here is going to get, supposing He exists. ;3

Alakazam17 May 18th, 2009 1:26 PM

Alakazam was my favourite Pokemon in the RBY days, and I was 17 when I got my first computer-and subsequentially, my first email and my first forum joinage, XD.

As for my real name, I get "form of William," from which I get this:

Quote:

William comes from the Germanic elements 'wil' (will, desire) and 'helm' (helmet, protection). It was the 10th most popular name for boys in the US in 2006, and the 7th most popular in the UK.

There have been many rulers named William, including four British kings, various rulers of the Netherlands and two emperors of Germany (known more commonly by the German cognate Wilhelm). There have also been four US presidents named William. Prince William is the eldest son of Prince Charles of Wales, the heir to the British throne.

Famous bearers include the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare, author of 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Macbeth' and 'Hamlet', among many others. William Butler Yeats was an Irish poet and William Kidd a 17th century pirate.
So I guess it all comes down to the fact that I desire protection. lulz

Penatrait is a misspelling of the word Penetrate, which means to pierce. But if you know me, you should know that it is meant to be a sexual reference: to penetrate.

It goes along in a line of sexual references names I've had. First came Cex, and now Penatrait. :D What next, hm?

MADISON

Gender: Feminine & Masculine

Usage: English

Pronounced: MAD-i-sən [key]
From an English surname meaning "son of MAUD". It was not commonly used as a feminine name until after the movie 'Splash' (1984), in which the main character adopted it as her name after seeing a street sign for Madison Avenue in New York City. A famous bearer of the surname was James Madison (1751-1836), one of the authors of the American constitution who later served as president.
