Dead games
I'm sure everyone has had this happen. You go to play one of your favorite games that you haven't played in a while only to find that it doesn't work or you don't even find it at all. What are some of the games you've lost and the stories that go along with that experience?
I've lost three important ones, Jak 3 PS2, Digimon World PS1, and Chrono Cross PS1. Chrono Cross and Digimon world don't really have a story, that was just the normal wear and tear on a disc after 10+ years. Jak 3, not such a peaceful death... my cousin was visiting so him and my sister were playing it. Well, they have a problem with game cases and decided to through it on the carpet. Now it still works, but only until the 4th mission. So what are your stories/games? |
Probably the worst mistake of my life was packing my NES games into a box full of stuff no one used. Because we have never been able to find them. It's been about three years and all those amazing NES titles are simply gone.
I really want to play them too. ;; Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, Super Mario Bros., Rygar... fml. |
My Pokemon Emerald I bought it on Amazon..and after...what 2 weeks, the game crashed. D 8
I got a refund >3 |
Even though I haven't tried it, I'm pretty sure my copy of Shenmue for the Dreamcast doesn't work anymore. :/ I just left it lying around and it has scratches like crazy. It's one of my all time favorite games too.
|
Final Fantasy VII >> One day I was playing Disc 2, and after it reached a certain point...nothing >.>
And I feel you're pain- my Jakk II and 3 died too ._. I DID manage to get another copy of Jak II though..still working on Jak 3. |
Pokemon Crystal... My sister dropped it into the toilet (Yeah, I know...), and it hasn't worked since...
And Pokemon Yellow, which just died suddenly several months ago... |
Pokemon Silver, after 3 years in the closet, only to find its save batteries have run dry.
Also my GB Tetris, which has been chewed on by the dogs. |
I lost a game I really loved. Even CD-Rom games(well, I think they broke or something).
I can't even remember the name well, but I think it had Warrior 4 at the end. I just can't figure out what the first word was. Anyway, It was a really fun game, even if it had violence. I think the setting was in China or somewhere around there, and there were wars too. If anyone knows what it's called, I'd appreciate it. ^^; And the two CD-Rom games I really liked were called Creatures, Candy Land and The Game of Life(Yes, like the board games). In Creatures, you could raise eggs, and they could hatch into, well, creatures. I think you could even name them. I'm not sure what happened to it. :< In Candy Land, I don't remember much, but it probably was like the board game and I know it was really fun. Then it broke, or crashed. In The Game of Life, it was like the board game. Though it had faces and stuff like that for the computer players, and it showed you it like you were actually driving it! It had a big...thing on it. I don't know what it was, but I couldn't play it anymore. :[ Wow, that's a lot of text! >o< I really miss all of these games. :cer_cry: |
Losing Pokemon Emerald and Pearl. I am sure I left Emerald at my old house somewhere when i moved and Pearl I lost on Holiday. Never take your DS games on a beach, stupid idea.
|
My Burnout 3 - Revenge for XBOX disk got scratched and you can't do anything in Vineyard anymore. x(
I loved that game... |

Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's favourite games die on them! Not that it's a good thing :) And I guess my NES and Sega genesis don't work either. That or its just the chord between the console and the TV. it's a pity too, I have the original version of the Zapper and it WORKS! |
My digimon 3 game kinda...died, by being all scratched up D:
Some of my other games are also in poor care due to my little brothers all ways moving the games around/and scratching them I: |
