Which of the multiplication functions did you find the easiest to learn?

I was thinking about the 9 times table earlier, and wondered this. Which number in the times table (this is not including 1, because it's obviously the easiest) was the easiest to learn for you?

For me, definately 9, such an easy pattern. XD;

Zet May 26th, 2009 3:26 AM

I'd have to say the on- two times table was the easiest for me

Thrace May 26th, 2009 3:48 AM

I think 10, 11 and 2 are the easiest for most people. I like 8 myself.

Logan May 26th, 2009 3:54 AM

I like the pattern of the 9's. So, it made the 9's easiest to learn for me xD

Vie May 26th, 2009 4:11 AM

five and eight were the easiest for me.

Alexithymia~ May 26th, 2009 5:39 AM

Apart from the obvious 1, 5 and 10; I choose 9.
(n x 10) - n
Easy as pie. xD

Graceful May 26th, 2009 5:43 AM

My easiest one were
2
5
10
20

Cheesymitten May 26th, 2009 8:45 AM

5
The easiest and just adding five on evry time, actually, all of them seem pretty easy now o.o'

Suki May 26th, 2009 9:01 AM

5 is relatively easy... 8 is quite hard... andddd 6 ._.

Percy Thrillington May 26th, 2009 9:26 AM

Seven. Seven tries to take you by surprise with forty-nine, but so long as you learn how to counter it with fifty-six, everything's alright.

Aurafire May 26th, 2009 9:44 AM

They're all pretty easy to me...I have all of them well memorized. Although 2 and 5 are pretty simple. =P

.inLOVE May 26th, 2009 11:15 AM

The 1.

Oh, but the 9 was pretty easy too.

레트로 May 26th, 2009 11:44 AM

Ten, if you mess this crap up, you fail at everything. :[

Gummy May 26th, 2009 12:39 PM

Eleven is easy up to 99. After that point, I leave it up to the geniuses.

msdmario May 26th, 2009 1:08 PM

5 and 10 were the easiest for me although I found learning the multiplication table easy in elementary. 9 was pretty easy to learn after hearing about the pattern.

Wish May 26th, 2009 1:18 PM

How can anyone mess up 10s and 5s?

I find 9s easier then most functions though. :>

jigglyppuff8 May 26th, 2009 1:43 PM

5s, 9s, and 10s are always easy. I did find out a "trick" to the 8s recently:
Spoiler:
8 = 8
1 + 6 = 7
2 + 4 = 6
3 + 2 = 5
4 + 0 = 4
4 + 8 = 12: 1 + 2 = 3
5 + 6 = 11: 1 + 1 = 2
6 + 4 = 10: 1 + 0 = 1
7 + 2 = 9
8 + 0 = 8
8 + 8 = 16: 1 + 6 = 7
9 + 6 = 15: 1 + 5 = 6
1 + 0 + 4 = 5
1 + 1 + 2 = 4
1 + 2 + 0 = 3
1 + 2 + 8 = 11: 1 + 1 = 2
1 + 3 + 6 = 10: 1 + 0 = 1
1 + 4 + 4 = 9
etc.

Lynnx May 26th, 2009 1:47 PM

For some reason, I'm best with the 6's, but it takes me five minutes to recite the 8's. :x

2, 5, 9, and 10 were easy for me too.

Michii May 26th, 2009 1:48 PM

We went through multiplication tables in fifth grade. I remember having an incredibly easy time with all of them. But there were specific problems in a couple of the numbers that were confusing. I kept thinking that 11x11 was like, 123 or 122. It was heart breaking when the 11's kept me from finishing the group tests first (in the group tests, we all started at the one's. If we got all right, we'd move up the next number each week. I was ahead, but messed up the 11's and didn't win. ;; ). 7x8, 9x7, 6x8, and 12x7/8/9 also took some time.

BHwolfgang May 26th, 2009 5:01 PM

I have to say that the five times table was probably the easiest for me. That, or the four.

Hiidoran May 26th, 2009 5:36 PM

What about zero? I protest that they were the easiest. XD;

Other than that, I found that the sevens were the easiest to learn. I never did learn any of those tricks aside from the tens and elevens; it was all pure memorization. For some reason, the pattern of the sevens stuck in my brain better than the others.

Jack O'Neill May 26th, 2009 5:47 PM

All of them were equally easy for me to learn.

Sublime May 26th, 2009 5:55 PM

0's, 5's, 9's, and 10's were the easiest for me to learn.

I had the hardest time with my 6's and 8's though.

Sammi May 26th, 2009 6:56 PM

I remember learning the 5s really, really easily; it was the fastest I did a times table after 2, if I remember correctly. 2s and 10s were probably easy, too, but 5 sticks out.

We had this thing where after we did the times table, we had a scoop of ice cream added to your cone on the bulletin board, and after 9, you got ice cream. Never got that high. :(

Zeros are much too confusing.

2/4 = 2
...
25/5 = 5

BUT...

0/0 = anything o.o

I didnt know "undefined" existed back then, so i used to say, "0123456789 10 11 and 12" D:
