Okay... Erm, well first of all, you uh have to...

There is always a time in our life when it's up to us to explain or describe something to other people so that they understand it too. But when it comes down to the explanation itself, how good are you at presenting it so that others are capable of grasping it also?

Personally, I find that for the majority of the time, I'm quite good at it but at other times, it's difficult and causes others to give up on me instead of me giving up on them x_x;

Logan May 26th, 2009 7:56 AM

Well, it depends how hard the subject that your trying to explain is. If it is something easy, then it is easy :P. If it is hard then it is hard xD

The Apprentice™ May 26th, 2009 7:56 AM

I'm good at describing/explaining this to friends. Being as I am smarter then them its easier for me to explain things

Cheesymitten May 26th, 2009 8:02 AM

I'm ok at giving explanations, it's just that sometimes i will leave myself hanging on the edge of a sentence if i think about it more, then i have to start again, then i just get frustrated, and it becomes more hard to explain @[email protected]

Very true :] However, it could also be affected by how confident you are, or just generally the way in which you explain things.. ookay, I'm not doing such a great of doing it right now ._.' lol

You do do that, sometimes it's hard to understand what you're saying.

Umm, if the person doesn't understand me I get frustrated, I have absolutely no patience. After that I will either give up or try again but not really bothering. That sounds so bad >(

The Apprentice™ May 26th, 2009 8:07 AM

hey i get frustrated too lol i jus make me words simpler lol if i can

templekeeper May 26th, 2009 8:11 AM

I'm able to put it in a way that others can understand it (sometimes with really creative or strange examples); that's why I make a good teacher.

_Prince_ May 26th, 2009 8:12 AM

There's every moment in my life where I have to explain convoluted matters. >_>
The thread creator knows I'm just exceptional at it ;P Most of the time it's associated to her, right baby? XD

Amaruuk May 26th, 2009 10:04 AM

Because I learn things the complicated way first, I have no idea how to really 'dumb down' or put things in layman's terms when I explain. I am quite knowledgeable, but I cannot pass on my knowledge very well. I tend to only confuse people further.

I also lack patience, and tend to go off on tangents about small things and end up losing track of what I was explaining in the first place. This is all most evident IRL, of course.

ShinjisLover May 26th, 2009 10:50 AM

I phail at explaining things. End of story. XD

Jorah May 26th, 2009 11:07 AM

Terrible.

And that is the best explanation I have ever given XD

.inLOVE May 26th, 2009 11:19 AM

I'm pretty bad, because I always get so nervous.

jigglyppuff8 May 26th, 2009 11:26 AM

IRL, don't even ask me, I'm useless. I'm pretty good at guiding people through things online though. Less pressure and stutters can be uhh deleted.

레트로 May 26th, 2009 11:41 AM

I made a a guide on how to fix your old G/S/C cartridges.
Nobody fixed their cartridges. ;;

An-chan May 26th, 2009 11:46 AM

I'm actually pretty good at getting my point through. It might take a while, depending on the subject, but can always explain things thoroughly enough to be understood. Okay, well, obviously not every time, but... Oh, and directions aren't my forte. I can explain how to handle your Vista or how to derivate something, but I really suck in explaining how to get from place A to place B. I also tend to lose track. Heck, I don't even know how I get my point through every time...

sirboulevard May 26th, 2009 11:49 AM

I know how to do things, but every time I teach certain people they doubt me for whatever reason, though I tend to be right. So it makes it hard.

Lynnx May 26th, 2009 4:13 PM

I'm alright with giving presentations to a larger group, but I'm terrible with small groups. ;-; I usually get really impatient if I have to repeat something more than twice.

BHwolfgang May 26th, 2009 4:21 PM

Meh, it depends on what I'm explaining about and who I'm explaining this to. Some people finds stuff easy once your interpret it to him/her and others need repeating over and over again.

Sweet Candace May 26th, 2009 4:35 PM

I studder sometimes when I'm given an explanation. Other times, I just can't word it right. So, it's usually hard for me to explain things.

Gummy May 26th, 2009 6:23 PM

My Graphics class deals a lot with Photoshop and for most of my class, it's their first time using the program. I'm fairly skilled with the program some I'm always one of the people that get hit up with lots of questions, sometimes even from my teacher. This has given me more than enough practice in explaining really complicated things.

ShadowLeader May 26th, 2009 6:26 PM

im usually pretty good at explaining things to the everyday person....but sometimes (when people dont understand even the simpelest thing) i cant really explain it...

Sushi. May 26th, 2009 6:32 PM

I'm terrible at explaining to people on anything. Because I get nervous when that happens. D:

Ayano Katagiri May 26th, 2009 9:11 PM

I'm pretty bad at it. People who have some idea of what I'm trying to explain and are quick thinkers usually get the idea, but sometimes it's just blank. But it really does depend on what thing I'm trying to explain.

Ho-Oh May 26th, 2009 9:42 PM

I make things very confusing when explaining so usually I'll lead into it and let someone else explain everything else.
