alright...as we know there are a lot of people in this forum, and when i mean a lot, i mean A LOT!
soo, sometimes when i what to do a trade or battle i will have to eventually scroll down the page to see if theres update, and in that time a read other peoples reply as well. some people have pokemon picture in their avatar or anime characters, but what i dont undestand is this:
some people's got a girl anime character followed with maybe a fancy pink lil signiture saying "i love cats" or "im beautiful" or whatever, and then on the right hand sides it says they are males???? what?? -_- mistery...

Some of the people could be "gender bending". That is, they personify themselves to be the opposite sex for whatever the reason could be. Some people who gender bend, or have in the past, have posted here to explain their reasoning.

Anyway, two questions arise from what you see in their signature:
1. If they aren't gender bending and really are male, what makes you think that they can't like (or love) cats?
2. Some guys consider themselves beautiful, as in handsome, even if it isn't in the sense that you're thinking of.

Besides, more than just guys do that...

And even if that is the case, it makes me think that you've never heard of the term metrosexual before. As that could be a reasoning behind it as well.

But nevertheless, I don't see why you should care or why it should be any of your business. :[

If you have a question about gender, why not look at the "Gender" tab over on the side.
If it doesn't state, either ask, or leave it as is.

I think that he already stated he did this, thus the decision to make a thread about it.

Damn, your right, ok.
Well....I tried to explain it in a lazy way, but...

Yeah, so, people have many interests, so said people are entitled to do whatever they want in their sigs.
Hey, we DO have quite feminine members here, too.
:]
And if you DO happen to fall for someone on this damn forum, and they DO happen to be male, just go with your feelings. It's not a bad thing being gay or bisexual, love is about feelings, not gender.
:O

HEY IF I PUT A DUAL GENDERED PERSON IN MY AVATAR/SIG, WHAT DOES THAT MAKE ME?

anyway, you are all missing my point, what i really meant is, what if you go and talk with someone and you soon discover that its a dude?
thats my real question
im not trying to make you change your way to be, or create a new empire of men or showing myself as a steroid-chewing super muscular guy or whatever..

The real question is, so what?
Why does it even matter if a guy has girls or 'girly stuff' in his theme?
It's what he likes, big woop dee doo.

What's more ridiculous is that you never hear this kind of crap when girls have manly themes. =/

I hate to admit it, but Romeo_Delight.exe is totally right.
Yeah, when you think about it deeply, it is actually how you feel about a specific person.

That said, I'm straight - just to remove any fog of confusion, lol.

Internet is a really confusing place - that's all I can say.

You better watch your steps and think about liking someone before liking em'... XD

Captain Fabio May 29th, 2009 2:04 AM

There isn't a category in which if you are one gender, you have to like only these things and nothing else.

Everyone is different and everyone can like what ever they like.

redragon94 May 29th, 2009 3:01 AM

thx for aegis for creating the thread *pictures of you*
i didnt know that thread existed before, soo---> problem solved.

devilicious May 29th, 2009 3:20 AM

If you end up falling for someone, you better know them well before making a hasty move, don't you think?

Seriously. Unless you have a crush on them because of their avatar/signature, and that's a whole different matter.

TRIFORCE89 May 29th, 2009 3:56 AM

I'm a guy. With guys in my signature. But, I think my signature looks a little girly (or at least "cutesy". But I didn't make it). So...what do you make of this case? XD

txteclipse May 29th, 2009 4:00 AM

I've had a few girls in my themes (like now, for instance). I just switched from one that had Lain from Serial Experiments Lain, and I have like three Latias-based themes that I cycle through.

That said, I do agree that the female characters/pink text/sparkliness can get a bit confusing at times. Especially for people that don't display what gender they are. It's like "hey there...you."

Zet May 29th, 2009 4:06 AM

I know that on the internet some girls really don't want to be subjected to having millions of boys following their every move so they will have their gender set to male to stop that, while some boys will set their gender to female for who knows what reason(probably trying to get a few laughs). But to be honest, it's nearly easy to see who's a girl and who's a boy. Unless you're ShinjisLover than it is impossible to know

It makes you a dual gendered Caps rapist.

Personally, I don' care about people having people of the opposite gender in their sig. I really don't mind even if they are homosexual as long as they don't Spam about it.

Really, is there too much problem in obeying the gender tab? You may not like confusion, that's why you made this. But it's THEIR personality. Changing that is something you may as well hope a Shiny Mew over.

You're saying that as if sexuality plays a part on Pokémon forum. Unless, judging from other posts you've created, you're here for more than just friendships with various people around the net who share a common interest... then, if that's the case... doing that on a Pokémon forum is just.. :X

Alexithymia~ May 29th, 2009 6:37 AM

I have an animal in my sig, are you implying that makes me an animal?

Just because they have female characters in their theme, doesn't mean they are... Themes aren't a representation of who the person is, they're just pictures that the person likes...

Cherrim May 29th, 2009 6:38 AM

What I love about the internet is it makes everyone so bicurious and it's hilarious to see the 13-year-olds freaking out about it all the time.

So you end up liking someone who turns out to be the same gender as you. It's just a crush anyway so ignore it. If you liked them enough to have a crush on them, you'll probably like them as a friend all the same. Otherwise, make your move and hope they really are telling the truth.

redragon94 May 29th, 2009 6:48 AM

omg, guys get over it i just told you that the problem is solved...
can someone lock this thread please? thank you
i learned xD

Her May 29th, 2009 12:48 PM

Maybe we're just confused like that.
