The Bringer! May 31st, 2009 3:52 PM

My first adventure was in the land of Hoenn. I started out with a treecko, leveled it up to level 50 by the third gym, and still couldn't win. Shortly afterwards, I accidently deleted my file because I didn't know you could only have one. I started the new file because my dad's friend was joking around at how boring and kiddy pokemon was, so I wanted to impress him by nicknaming my torchic KILLER. I still have that pokemon to this day.

It was in the Kanto region for Pokemon Blue. I was flipping out when I saw a Pidgey when I was a little kid. I was like "omfg I am gonna get a Pidgeot soon when I catch this!" And I was always on the edge of my seat not knowing which pokemon would pop out next in each region. It was a highlight of my child hood and I knew so much about it up to today about Pokemon. I used my imagination to pretend it was actually real and what I would do in certain situations to get to the next town. It was a lot ot fun.

my first adventure was in the land of kanto.

My first play through ever was in Red. Of course being really young, I had no idea what I was doing. I believe I started with Charmander, but that's about all I can remember.

iShini May 31st, 2009 6:12 PM

First adventure was in Pokemon Red. First ever Pokemon was a Bulbasaur. First ever caught Pokemon was a Rattata. First ever major Pokemon love was Eevee. That was about... nine years ago? How such time flies.

AuraAshley May 31st, 2009 6:16 PM

you know i remember my first adventure. i was 8 or 9 and i got pokemon red and blue for my birthday. i remember i thought that you had to choose the pokemon on the box cover as your starter lol.

lol, I picked Bulbasaur 'cause I was a bigger fan of it over Squirtle and Charmander. That and I already liked Bulbasaur because of the anime. XD

The Bringer! May 31st, 2009 7:13 PM

Wow, it seems I'm the only one that hasn't started in Kanto xD

Asgard May 31st, 2009 7:28 PM

Pokemon Yellow was the first ever game I ever owned ever. (Ever!) I got my Pikachu to level 100 my first playthrough. I don't remember how I did it, nor how long it took 8D;; But I was really proud of my 7or8or9-year-old self~! :>
Then I restarted the game and never got to level 100 again and I felt silly. :< I think I tried to beat the game with a Pidgey, but I got stopped at the last gym. xD;

Pokemon Red was my first game, and a good one it was! Got my awesome Jolteon to level 80, traded it to my friend so he could beat the first gym leader, and we decided to experiment by pressing random buttons during the trade, somehow it got deleted and the Rattata he traded me got cloned. Saddest day of my life!! Well not really, but it totally sucked!

Satoshi Ookami May 31st, 2009 8:17 PM

My first was Yellow, 'cause I started to play games very late after that I played Silver and meanwhile Red but the first was sure Yellow

dream's-epilogue May 31st, 2009 8:52 PM

Yellow. That was one of the early propellants of my fandom.

I played it at first, but got it confiscated one day and never reclaimed it.

Got it again a couple years later. Built Pika to 100, used him almost exclusively. I can't even remember any of my other endgamers, just Pika.

Inkfingers May 31st, 2009 8:56 PM

Many moons ago, a boy named Inkfingers bought silver version and a gameboy color. I chose Cyndaquil? I think it was him, anyway, m,e and my cousin would always battle.

Then he beat me and mocked Rocky(that useless onix you get from the dude who wants a belsprout at the first gym leader)

Hmmm...

Pokemon Red, back when I was eight years old. I recieved it for my birthday and up until that point I had no idea that there were Pokemon games. I started with Charmander, got frustrated that I couldn't beat Brock, restarted with Squirtle and that kicked off my love for the water starter. Ever since then, I've always picked the water started in every Pokemon game I've played (Totodile for Gold/Silver, and Mudkip for Sapphire).

Speaking of Mudkip... I've had the same game since 2003, and I honestly believe my Level 98 Swampert and I have bond. I'll more than likely actually cry when the time comes to get rid of Sapphire...

I started playing Pokemon Yellow it was a long time ago. I cannot remember which day it is and what pokemon did i catched first. and what pokemon did i glanced at first. Do i have amnesia??? "??"

Pyrax June 1st, 2009 3:46 AM

My first adventure was in Jhoto on Gold, but my first real adventure was in hoenn on sapphire.
But not a GBC but on an airplane's entertainment system, however aI got sapphire a few years later.

My first pokemon game was Yellow i am quite fascinated by it even now!

Miss Soupy June 1st, 2009 4:11 AM

Mine was Yellow. :'3 I'd been watching the anime series from a while now, and I was so excited to be playing the game and constantly admired the game sprites. The best part would have to be when I got Charmander and Bulbasaur. I was all wowed and stuff. Then when I got Squirtle I went "jasdjl" because it was my favorite Pokemon. *u*

Turke June 26th, 2009 5:33 PM

My first game was Blue, when I was six years old. I remember that when I got it, I didn't stop playing until the batteries died in my GB, so I put new batteries in and played some more.

Oh, The Places You'll Go. June 26th, 2009 7:30 PM

I feel like a loser compared to everyone here,
I began with Emerald.
Oooh, but I've been into Pokemon way before then.

Wings Don't Cry June 26th, 2009 8:25 PM

I started with Pokemon Yellow back in the days when GBC was the most advanced handheld console around and I was so proud when I figured out how to get into Saffron City since I was 7 years old

altaria221 June 26th, 2009 9:39 PM

My first adventure was awesome, i started in kanto on pokemon yellow, my adventure was going along perfect until i reached brock, lol
i didn't know electric didn't affect ground, and i didn't know that you could catch other pokes using poke balls that you bought

Ayselipera June 27th, 2009 6:18 AM

I started on Silver and I had no idea what I was doing. Plus I had just learned how to read so I pronounced every city, pokemon, and item wrong which I believed were the right names till a couple years ago. I ended up going to the game corner in Goldenrod and I bought a Dratini. After that I trained it till it evolved into Dragonite, and deafeated the Pokemon League with terrible pokemon besides my Dragonite. Honestly if I never got that Dratini, it would have been years till I deafeated the game. I had no clue what was going on.

~SilverSoul June 27th, 2009 6:45 PM

I was about six when I played Pokemon Blue for the very first time (such a YOUNG age and such a long time ago). I got Bulbasaur as my beginner as I remember. The greatest part is that I didn't know how to catch pokemon so I played with just Bulbasaur the whole game. I can't remember if I got all my badges though or not. I'm pretty sure one of my cousins reset the game and by the time I started a new game I figured out how to throw pokeballs. Either way, I remember beating both red and blue numerous times once I turned around 7 and learned how to read.
