Ho-Oh/Lugia
ok heres a question for all of you. do you think they will make ho-oh and lugia version specific or will you be able to get both in both games?
|
I think you will be able to get them both in one game.
In the old gold and silver that was possible, except the mascot of the game was found before the counter part. So yeah, I think it will stay the same. |
You better be able to get both, that was my favorite part of the game. I don't ever use ubers online, but I always use them in game. They help out a lot.
One of my favorite parts was that you got to have Lugia at level 40 earlier in the game, and then you could have time to train it so that it would get to be about the same level as the level 70 Ho-oh obtained later in the game. -PokeJosh |

You get the first wing, depending on version, from the Goldenrod Radio Tower Manager, and the second after obtaining all 16 Badges, in Pewter from an old man near the east exit. -PokeJosh |
yep your right and i hope they keep it that way and if they do change it make it so that we can go with a partner and when we get to the legend they'll be like "this is your battle" lol
|
I guess it will stay as the same as others said. Because it's just a remake.
|
It'd be a shame if they changed that, as it was one of the good features of the first/second generation games - you can get all of the legendaries without faffing about with trades...
|
I think they'll make it you can get both in the games like G/S.
It was a good feature as well... |
In order to catch both, we must have one of the following situations;
1. Kanto must be included as you get SilverWing (to eouncter Lugia is HG) or the RainbowWing (to encounter Ho-Oh in SS) in Pewter City. 2. There must be another guy giving you those items or an triggered event by doing something else. I guess that 1 is more possible =) |
i don't think so because you receive the rainbow ring/silver ring in Kanto and a doubt they will add kanto to HG/SS so no. but knowing nintendo they will add it just for the fans ._.

I disagree. Being a remake of G/S/C, it will have Kanto for sure, and I'm 99% sure about it. The 1% is when everyone in Nintendo goes mad - which is unlikely to happen. And as for this topic: Yeah, I'm pretty sure that both Lugia and Ho-oh will be available, since they were both available in all of G/S/C. Just change around the sequence you get them in - and there you have it! |

I had Gold back then, still do somewhere... anywho, I caught both of the legends on the game. So it is all good! If they change that I will be rather surprised, unless they are just wanting more money so people will have to buy two... Though, that won't happen. This game release will see a huge amount of sales from pretty much everyone! XD |
They'll more than likely have them both catchable in both games.
the Kanto region is pretty definitely making a return, it wouldn't be a remake otherwise. @Primal - you might've played kanto over and over (i'm persuming on FR/LG) but its different in gold and silver. Places have changed and you get to battle the kanto gym leaders (i loved that) to get 16 badges. though, i hope they include teh sevii islands with kanto, cos it was pretty short in GSC, as there was literally 1 or 2 things to do in every town. |
The charm of Gold and Silver is that they were almost identical to each other with small differences. Relocating the legendary Pokémon between games would be a really big change.
|
Probably would split them in separate games like the newer versions.
|
I don't see how they could be exclusives, since they each have their own dungeon.
The Whirl Islands would serve no purpose in HG, and likewise for the Tin Tower in SS. |
Yeah, there is no reason at all for them not to allow us to get both in each game.
And Primal Dialga, they have to include Kanto, as it is a remake of the original Gold and Silver. |

Aright then, exactly why won't the keep Kanto in? Well, not only for the fans, but because it is a remake of the original, and the original basically had Kanto in it. The Rainbow Wing and Silver Wing were both obtained in both games and allowed us to capture both Ho-Oh and Lugia. Neither of them was exclusive because it just won't serve any purpose for the Whirl Islands and neither the Tin Towers. Kanto is a needed region to get one of these wings, and plus these games aren't like what we have today. For each exclusive legendary they were always located in the same place, but that is different for Lugia and Ho-Oh. They have two separate locations, and because of this I'm sure we'll be able to catch them both without being exclusive. This will just change the game too much. Also, Kanto is an essential part of the game being as it holds the Elite Four, and now might even be needed more to give us needed items for evolutions, chaining, and etc. Also, putting in the Kanto region won't take the game longer. The game is still in development, and it was in development before we got released Coro Coro images of it as well. Nintendo knows what they are doing and aren't too lazy to add in another region. They aren't lazy to do this, because they know they'll lose out on sales as it'll disappoint the original game players and even the newer ones as well. The reason why Gold and Silver were so different from other games now is because, for one, it was a double region game. Two, it allowed both mascot legendaries to be available in both games, something they don't seem to do anymore. Also, it allowed us to catch our first shiny for those who might not have done so before. Sorry, but Kanto is really important, and it isn't impossible to add in neither the Sevii Islands, nor the Battle Tower with Kanto either. The DS cartridge carries a lot more memory from 10 years ago, and allowed different features and it will definitely allow two legendaries to be caught along with adding the Kanto and who knows what else might be implemented. So, Kanto is needed to catch these two legendary birds, Lugia and Ho-Oh. Not only that, but it is needed because it was part of the original and should stay part of the remakes as well. So, as far as the topics go about Lugia and Ho-Oh, with what I've just stated above, yes I strongly believe they'll both be put into each game, and not as version exclusives. |
... The above threshold has given a lot for me to think about... Lets add BOTH Kanto, and the Sevii Islands! Eh? Eh?
|
I don't think you will be able to get both, because they only do that in 3rd game sof the generation like emerald and platinum, so if they remade crystal then you would probably be able to get both.

I would assume that they would both be available in either game. That's kind of a major element, and it would seem like something they'd want to keep in a remake. Also, I would certainly prefer if they kept it like it was before, although maybe put a little more plot behind getting the wing instead of just a random act of kindness from an old guy in Pewter City.
