It depends on what your definition of confirmed is :/ They have not said "There will be a second coming," however at the top left hand of the McDonald scan there is the text "第一弾." This means that it's the first period of this (For a reference, think back to the Secret Key and Rotom. In Japan, the Rotom key was released twice over wifi. On the official website, the first release was marked as 第一弾 and the second as 第二弾.) Being 1st and 2nd. Logically, yes, it has been confirmed by this, but no, no one has come out and said "There will be another one around _____ (date) :/

The Jirachi event scan. I haven't seen a picture of it on this thread of it, and this is supposed to be the June CoroCoro scan thread. Anyways, here it is for anyone interested:

Uh we have it in the first post cause thats where all the scans will go until the site updates a fan translated it(yaminokame usually does so) and I post the layout in the first post along with the scans.

I wish it was clearer so I could :/ I have to think of a new way to do the scans that can't easily be photoshoped into english T__T If anyone has one that's somewhat legiable and wants me to do though I'd be happy to help :) There isn't much there yet though :P

This is a 2nd Gen remake and in my opinion, they should keep it as close to G/S/C as possible. I mean, if these guys show up POST-National Dex, I'd be happy. I just hope they don't get integrated into the main story line.

I think it's worth mentioning that, in a past interview concerning FireRed and LeafGreen, the developers don't consider these sorts of games "remakes"; they believe they're "new" games, just similarities. Though they may have changed their opinions since then. (I haven't been up to date with it)

So, I wouldn't get surprised here. Times are changing and if people want to completely dex's, they'll need these guys. (it's been a loooong time since emerald)

Jirachi event? McDonalds? ahaha, those two don't match at all. XD

edit2: lol, watch the Jirachi event "unlock a special area" unlock Hoenn. I would laugh so hard.

edit: oh hey, that looks like Draco meteor :O

Having a great Pokémon like Jirachi be held in McDonalds is very unrelated as said, but at least it'll be held as an event and hopefully like assumptions say another one shall too.

However, I don't know ho you see Draco Meteor in there, but if that is what they are calling Jirachi's new special move, then I see some changes being made for the competitive battline. At least for those who choose to use Scarfed Jirachi's to sweep and use for coverage, then Draco Meteor might be seen in battle a bit more frequently now.

This is indeed a nice speculation on things, but yeah quality of the scans could have been better, but what can we do. I'm sure better images of them will come around sometime, but at least we've got a nice clear shot with the new box art and something going on for the Hoenn legendaries (Four of them now) and something involving Cynthia, Arceus, and the creators of Time, Space, and Distortion. Johto and Kanto [if kept] will definitely have some new twists, turns, and upside down adventures compared to the originals.

Flash, look at the top right. I don't know of any other move with such a color pattern.

Yes, I totally see that now. I also see Jirachi on the other side of the player and apparently we've got a Jirachi that knows Draco Meteor. This is wicked hot! I only hope this Jirachi finds its way over to the US and other countries, because it sure is nice to have an exclusive move like that on a Pokémon such as Jirachi. Beachboy, you pointed that one out for me, thanks.

Forci Stikane June 11th, 2009 7:29 AM

Lugia, Ho-oh, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, and now Jirachi... The only Legendaries that need to be shown now are Mewtwo, [email protected], and most importantly, Celebi, and that would make all of the Legendaries obtainable in 4th Generation games. Kyogre and Groudon should also satisfy those expecting version-exclusive Legendaries.

I will stand on my head if the new "Edge of the Night Sky" area involves catching Deoxys.

Although...with the three Events announced thus far, I am beginning to wonder how they will be released in North America, if they even will despite unlocking new areas in the upcoming games. If Nintendo does not somehow translate and set up the Jirachi event for release this Autumn, then I am almost expecting that this newest announcement will be released as a second Gamestop event, with the earlier two releasing in Toys-R-Us ALA TRU Shaymin & Regigigas. This is starting to shape up for a rather crowded Spring 2010.

wow now were for certian that obviously 4th gen pokemon will be available and 3rd too. this is just too much and silver looks really cool

Cheesymitten June 11th, 2009 7:54 AM

Wow,
The box art looks asolutley fantastic!
So does all the other scans ^^
This kind of looks like it's going to possibly be better than D/P. We will just have to sitand wait...

Then again, with all these legendaries these days, should we expect anything less?

All the legendaries added in are nice, as it makes it a lot less of a hassle to have to worry about migrating and trading all the time. Though, when I first thought Diamond, Pearl and Platinum had a lot of legendaries included I thought it was too much. Now it seems they are stacking a lot of legendaries available in HeartGold and SoulSilver. Of course, it is a plus for hopefully it'll lessen the numbers of hacked event Pokémon and bring in more legit beings, such as Jirachi. Of course though, I can see why they are doing it and they have a pretty good reason. It also boosts the want for the game by fans and hopefully will make the after math of the game less dull and more intriguing.

I've definitely got to get Jirachi though, it'll be fun to use with Draco Meteor learned.

EDIT: The information below the Jirachi picture given is nice, but what does it all say xD?

matoucs June 11th, 2009 9:09 AM

Wow those games look amazing ! I can't believe it's already been 10 years since i've played the first games ^^ I'm definitely buying one of them for old time's sake lol

The pictures of the battling is from Pokémon Melee, the new game that has been talked about. Though, I believe it is more of the Japanese text that is being referred to, it is just to know what it all means.

I wouldn't be surprised if it says something about its moves [Draco Meteor] seeing as it is visibly shown in the background scan with the main picture of Jirachi.

Ryanniny June 11th, 2009 10:04 AM

hopefully they'll be released in America a month or two after they're released in Japan, cos then i can get a nice import >:3
the scans look sweet, and i cannot wait to get those boxes (L)
we never know, there could be a regular DS game case inside the boxes, and it could have different artwork on.
i hope theres more images in the CoroCoro magazine, as theres been LOADS leaked, i still want some more surprises when the magaziens officially out :(

Mitchman June 11th, 2009 10:25 AM

Ah all the text is about the connecting to WiFi similar to how they talkied about another event in march.

Okay, after seeing other people's opinions over at 2ch for the past few hours, I see a seperate meaning for the 第一弾 statement. Before I was not aware that Nintendo is trying a new system with McDonalds, and it could be referring to the first of it's type (being a McDonalds giveaway) If this were the case, then it means that instead of Jirachi, there will be other McDonalds Wi-Fi giveaways through their new "Nintendo Zone".

If they are relased in Japan during the month of September, then I wouldn't be too sure it being released a month or two in the USA. More than likely the time during late February through Mid April may be the release date for the US version of the remakes.

I would think there is a DS Casing in the box with the PokéWalk held withing a sperate casing as well. The box is more than likely a simply way to hold it all together. However, I think the design on teh box would be the same design on the case. It'll take too much just to make them look different.

By the way, these aren't necessarily leaks as they are official news given about by the Coro Coro magezine. This magezine issues news every month on something new and old, so I would expect more next month.

If they do plan on holding another event In McDonalds, then I'd really like to know what. However, this is a first test run with it, so I guess if it doesn't work out as well as planned they could make the second event for it through Wi-Fi. We'll see how it ends up turning out at the end though. My biggest concern is to learn when it may be held in the US, seeing as the event is for DPPt.

Mitchman June 11th, 2009 11:21 AM

Nintendo Zone? Hey! In Best buy and such they are setting those up. Maybe NA will see such a thing? Oh....
