I don't like the idea of all 493 following. Just looks at the Sinnoh Legends; these things are literally gods. Having them walk around town is just unrealistic. I also don't like how the system works, where the first Pokemon in your party is the one they gets sent out. What if I'm training a certain ugly Pokemon and therefore have to put it first in my party? I'd much rather have it so that whenever we check out party we can choose which Pokemon we want to have walk with us.

Put it this way, if we only had a selected few Pokémon able to follow us, then there would be an uproar in complaints. Some would not like the chosen Pokémon to be used to follow and others would then there are those who would complain...just because. Anyway, it is best to keep it at all, as it's a basic plus to the game and fans who want their favorites to follow them. However, some hope for it to be optional, so we'll see how that turns out later on. Now as for size, most likely, they'll fit in each one to one tile. This way it keeps space in the game and makes it easier to move around. Not to mention, we've seen a large Pokémon [Steelix] in its OW sprite following Gold already. By the looks of it, things seem pretty well taken care of for the larger sized Pokémon. To comment on choosing which Pokémon to follow in your roster, keeping the first in line out is basically the easiest to format in the game. It also makes a lot more sense as it'll be the first Pokémon sent out to battle too. As for your ugly trained Pokémon, I guess this is where the optional feature may come in handy [if available]. |
here are my thoughts:
I think Rotom's Mow form should be in front of you... just sayin' I wonder if Diglet will be underground most of the time and just poke it's head up out of the ground every few steps. will Muk leave a slime trail behind it? I think I said this earlier, but will ditto transform into the last pokémon encountered? or even into the player character. (in the anime, ditto can transform into more than just pokémon.) I'm probably gonna have my Charizard follow me, it was the evolution of my first pokémon ever. |
Jigglypuff and Clefairy will follow me around because that's how i roll.
|
If I could have any pokemon it would be ....
Giratina = now those Rocket grunts wont mess with me X.X Charazard = just awesomeness Deoxys = 'Dude you have an alien following you' Lucario = I have aura what now finaly, Rampados = dinosuar pet :) |

I would have something massive following me like a rhyperior or a legendary, i just think that'd be pretty cool.
|
I'd have my trusty Latias by my side. |
My Squirtle or Wartortle. I <3 those little turtles. (I dislike Blastoise though...)

I absolutely love this feature I'm just wondering if you will be able to have times when nothing is following you....? Maybe an option to put it back in it's pokeball?

Heheh it would be really funny if you pulled the pokemon along when you were on a bike :P hahah lol ((That'll never happen though)) And it would look really screwed up
|
I'd love to see Pokémon that aren't "cute" following me, like Giratina.
|
The new video on Filb.de shows footage of Arceus following and Gizamimi & PC Pichu following at the same time.
|
I would like some of my Pokemon from my Platinum to follow me in Heart Gold. PorygonZ, Dragonite, Leafeon, Floatzel, Togekiss, Venusaur, Mr. Mime, Gengar, Vaporeon, Gyarados... (all of these Pokemon are over level 80 & legit.)
Edit: haven't seen that video yet. |
I wonder if shiny pokemon other than Gyrados and Pichu will be shown walking.
|
I think that the idea of any Pokemon being able to follow you around is the greatest thing yet to happen in a Pokemon game (maybe not, but it's pretty cool). I enjoyed having Pikachu follow me around in Pokemon Yellow; I felt better with company rather than just walking alone. Plus, it makes that lead Pokemon feel closer to you as they follow you around.
|
I am thinking of making an Aerodactyl follow me for maybe some time of the game as I want to see how they make him look. I may also take a metagross out and see him walk with those four cute legs. I find Metagross's legs very cute. (I am actually going to bring all of my captured pokemon out one by one as I would like to see all of their sprites.)
|
I wonder if having a pokemon out who has an HM would show that pokemon smashing a rock, or moving a boulder, or cutting down a tree....?
|
I'll be having my Umbreon, Cydaquil and Squirtle following me around so I'm not bothered about the Legendaries.
|
A Eevee Will Be Wif Me. =} P l a t i n u m |

A couple of Pokémon I'd like to have following me though are probably Notch Eared Pichu, Houndoom, a few legendaries, and a personal favorite Electivire and a newly trained Dragonite. It'll be really cool to see how it all turns out with this feature and a fun little thing to play around with when bored I would believe. With this new addition to the game along, it only brings the quality of the game to something higher than before. Not to mention, the next generation of games are going to have to come good to overcome this one remake. |
A pokemon that is a definate must for me (and Aero., i'm sure you guessed it) would be Weavile.
