Pokémon Sunday News! June 12th!
OK, today's Pokémon Sunday emission showed the following things.
A battle between Shokotan and 3 guys from the program. Shokotan won. And gameplay video from Azalea Town (Slowpoke Well), the music theme for Team Rocket. Also they showed the figures that will be included with the game if you preorder and... gameplay from Goldenrod City! Unfortunately I couldn't record these last two things :( EDIT: Full video is here! |
Probably just the pichu pawning the snorlax. Next week should be more interesting especially it taking down Cynthia.
|
Game Arena is starting now... And yeah it will be a pokémon battle between the smexy girl and 3 guys from there.
Smexy Girl (Shokotan): Shiny Pichu, Clefable and Snover. Trio: Machamp, Snorlax and Quagsire. And yes, Pichu pwned Snorlax. ZOMGG THEY WILL SHOW GAMEPLAY OF HGSS WHEN RETURNING FROM COMMERCIALS! ZOMG!!!! THEY SHOWN GAMEPLAY OF SLOWPOKEWELL, THE MUSIC FROM TEAM ROCKET AND GAMEPLAY VIDEO FROM GOLDENROD! AWESOME! I'm uploading a video!!! (no sound sorry) XD |

GOLDENROD?! ZOMG MUST SEE NOW!
|
Unfortunately I couldn't record GoldenRod because it passed after all the credits and that stuff.
I mean, I thought it ended but no, they showed more. And the music from Goldenrod couldn't be heard. I'm uploading a video. Be patient please. Anyway, maybe someone will upload a video of better quality later. |
Goldenrod makes an appearance? brilliant.
Can't wait to see it. |
Ah goldenrod was after the credits? So how do we know the footage exists?

Yes, I guess it was for next week previews. I dunno
Look I cut the recording cause I thought the gameplay/videos ended. Anyway, here. |
Ah okay. That was short but simple. But damn you cut it? I really wanted to see goldenrod. Ah well.

Keep post on topic, please - just a reminder.
Hopefully there'll be another video showing that extra stuff soon - probably will be the case. I want to see some more Goldenrod, darn it. XD |
At least I can comment on the video being in a good quality to some extent. However, it would have been nice to have gotten just a slight chance at seeing a glimpse of Goldenrod City. It was my favorite city in Johto by far and the game makers of the remake can do a lot with it. However from what I can see by earlier Coro Coro scans, the Radio Station looks really good with the new graphics. We can also see Team Rocket up to their same basic plot as before which is a good sign, for nostalgia's sake. Though, Slowpoke's Well looks great with the new update to it. Things were kept roughly the same and it is a satisfying note that we got to see outside as well as inside.
Pichu beating Snorlax, seemed probable they would do that as Pichu is Pikachu's pre-evolution as well as beings part of the mascot line. Still, it looks like the battle scene will be kept in the same DPPt format with some of what Platinum introduced I would presume. Things such as the battle touch screen icons may vary in color depending on location like what was done in Platinum probably. Nevertheless, this seems like it might have been a good Pokémon Sunday episode for this weekend. |
I hate you again! xD Just kidding..... I'll bring the news next week..... Anyways nice
update, I'll try to find more of the video showing golden rod.... |

On the latest Pokemon Sunday video (Now with a link to it in the first post, yo) - hmm. I like the Team Rocket music - UNTIL the random riffs/trumpets in the last few seconds of what they showed which seem different to the old tune, and... it doesn't really sound as good. =/ IDK - probably will grow on me, but that small part I'm uncertain on, really. The rest was nice though... hmm. Goldenrod part - two steps shown. Wow THAT WAS A LOT. >_< I'm guessing the Team Rocket guy is saying the same thing as he had in GSC though (something like 'So this is the Radio tower...' which is then followed by him asking you 'what're you're looking at/go away'). Pokemon figurines look quite nice. Lugia seems the most striking though, with the added stuff and all - but I like them all. But what really interests me is that next week, it appears they will be torturing someone on the show. By pulling him through the air BY THE NOSE. O_O |

Anyway, what was given before is a Coro Coro shot of Goldenrod infront of the Radio Station. Though, I too would like to see a video of Gold and his Pokémon walking around the city and maybe end up shoing the Gym and a few other buildings. At least for now that'll be nice, but seeing as it was mentioned to be after the ending, then I would say it is a preview for next week's Pokémon Sunday episode. EDIT: I recently watched the full video. Like stated, the music it is alright, I would have expected it to be better, but it isn't something major that will bother me much. However, I'm pretty glad they showed a video of Goldenrod, even if it was a measly two step walk and a short chat with a grunt. I thought we could have expected more on that, however it does seem the show runs with the Coro Coro scans. As for the figurines, I like them. Lugia being my favorite one, but that is my personal opinion. I think they did a neat job and I wouldn't mind having one, or maybe two, or even all three :]. |
