Recrossed: The Journey of a Ronin in a Strange Land

What happens in this trainwreck

Our story begins ten years after the events of Gold&Silver/Diamond&Pearl. Your character is a junior trainer who trains in a grass-type gym in Hoenn. Unfortunately, your gym was shut down after being beaten by a water-type gym and you, unable to live with the shame, give up your grass type pokemon and run away to parts unknown.
You gain control of your character as they arrive in a strange underground area, which divides into three passageways, each with a seperate pokemon, smoochum, magby, or elekid. You venture down one of the passageways, take the Pokemon inside, and continue down it until it leads you aboveground, into a strange place called Kanto...
From here, you become a person looking for work. Unable to get a job training at one of the gyms, and unwilling to give up your life of Pokemon battling, you must simply take odd jobs all around Kanto and Johto. Examples of this would be finding lost children, delivering packages, and maybe even working against one of the three Team Rocket revivals... or working for them
In addition, there is a main storyline to work with. To start with, a strange portal opens up near the Seafoam Islands. Eventually you, and a few other people, find a way to enter it. Inside is a strange land, a land that looks strangely like your world, but somehow... colorless. A land forgotten by time, where strange abominations masquerading as Pokemon rule, and psychic types are immune to ghosts.

Futures Features

  • Mission-based gameplay, where you do various missions for people rather than having a linear storyline (Although there is one towards the end)
  • All new custom maps, based on familiar locations from Kanto and Johto.
  • Overworld pokemon sprites will be replaced by the generic ones of Gold and Silver, to allow for more pokemon to be represented in the overworld.
  • New Attacks and movesets.
  • A couple fake Pokemon, mostly variations of regular Pokemon that will be used by ingame trainers (e.g. BulbasaurTwo)
  • New sprites for many pokemon and trainers.
  • "Respect" system, implementing how much various organizations like you, which will affect which missions you can get in some cases.
  • Certain important NPCs will have their faces appear when they talk (like in Mystery Dungeon when you talk to people).
  • Return of beloved characters like Sabrina, Giovanni, and Silver.

Team

My sister and I are planning to make pretty much everything in the game, but we are having trouble implementing the title screen. If there is someone who knows how to edit title screens, please contact me. I wil give credit in-game to whoever can help me with this.

This looks really good. I take it you and your sister are very experienced hackers to be able to take all this on. My only complaint is the Gold/Silver OWs. But I guess if it's needed then it has to happen. Good Luck.
