Pokemon Red in full color?

I was wondering something...Red/Blue were awesome. Really, they're the games that started it all. However, when G/S/C redid Kanto, they ruined it. So I was wondering something...if there was a hack released that took place in Kanto with original scripts, music, and graphics, (but in full color), would you play it? Please post here about this.

Legobricks June 24th, 2009 8:19 AM

I loved the GBC graphics, but no, six versions have already depicted the storyline of Kanto.

JoltIce June 24th, 2009 8:21 AM

Yeah I would probably play it. Color makes all ready awesome games even better :)

Foxnordic June 24th, 2009 8:39 AM

I might play it, but i think gen 3 was alright, not really that good

Melash June 24th, 2009 8:42 AM

Yes, like I said, this would not be a 3rd Generation game, but a 2nd Generation game.

.little monster June 24th, 2009 9:12 AM

I would just because I have nothing better to do and that sounds interesting.

Likewise.

Also, if you were basing it off Gen II, wouldn't it technically be a remake of a remake? XD

Ayselipera June 24th, 2009 9:52 AM

I'd try it out just to see what its like.

Drai June 24th, 2009 5:47 PM

I'd play it because r/b/y have the highest replay value for me.

Munch Dog June 24th, 2009 8:15 PM

Sure I'd try it, but Yellow pretty much was like that, at least in battle. Each town had it's own "color" though.

Echoing Song June 24th, 2009 8:48 PM

I'm going to have to agree with オレンジ... too many games already... they don't need to make anymore =P

XxDawnfanxX June 24th, 2009 10:18 PM

Yeah, I am sure it will look cool. Similar to the G/S graphics but it would make no difference to me. I just love the concept of the games.

Okcez June 25th, 2009 11:22 AM

Well I'm currently playing Red on original. I think the color changing during routes and cities is pretty unique because of the old/nostalgia feeling. I would play both. I would actually prefer the original though.

Leafeon1201 June 26th, 2009 7:26 PM

but your forgetting that that is what make red blue and yellow CLASSICS. The black n white and the not so good graphics. That is what made them AWESOME!

I'll try any Pokemon game (except for stupid Pokemon ranger). it will be fun

I would play it. Games are easier to understand if they're in color. (Especially Red, because the energy bar is black, so it's hard to tell if someone's gonna heal or not.)

Pokestick, good times. June 29th, 2009 11:13 AM

Yea, the Kanto story is the ONE that I can play over and over again... I wonder why so many people feel different...

derozio July 8th, 2009 6:28 AM

I'll give it a try as I loved the originals.

xxxLatiasxxx July 9th, 2009 2:47 AM

It just depends on what you could do besides capturing pokemon on the game.

Archer July 9th, 2009 5:59 AM

No. It just wrecks the nostalgic theme. The monochrome colour-sets for different towns was interesting enough for me. I'm happy with the way they were, and I think FRLG were respectable enough as remakes.

MLU July 9th, 2009 6:34 AM

I'd probably just try it and see if I like it...

Joltz July 9th, 2009 7:49 AM

I wouldn't play a remake of Red with crappy graphics. Like everyone was saying, there are 3rd gen games and now Pokemon Platinum is out who needs Pokemon Red/Blue. And also Heart Gold and Soul Silver are going to be realised soon too so what is the point of it.

You may at least try and see it.

But some kanto lovers(like me!) may like to play it nevertheless.
