Greetings

Hey everyone. As you can see, I'm Satoshi. I have just recently gotten back into Pokemon, and I think I'll be sticking around with it for quite some time. PC looks to be one of the best Pokemon forums on the Internet, and it also looks like one of the friendliest, so I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoy my stay here.

One of my goals is to collect all of the Pokemon Versions out there, and I've made some good progress in just two weeks, seeing as some of them can be tough to track down. I've already collected the following games:
  • Generation I
    • Pokemon Yellow
    • Pokemon Blue
    • Pokemon Red
  • Generation II
    • Pokemon Gold
    • Pokemon Silver
  • Generation III
    • Pokemon Emerald
    • Pokemon Ruby
    • Pokemon Sapphire
    • Pokemon Fire Red
    • Pokemon Leaf Green
...seeing as I haven't gotten the courage to spend $100 dollars on a NDS, I haven't collected any of the Generation IV games yet, but I will eventually. For now, my main aim in collecting is to acquire some more Generation II games (Silver and Crystal). I'm relatively behind in that Generation, as opposed to the others. But at least I've filled-out all of Generation III.

I guess one last thing about myself is that I am a Modder. I enjoy editing all sorts of different games with my computer, and I'm just starting to make my way into Pokemon games. Most games I've edited were straight-up computer games, such as GC2 (Galactic Civilizations II), Civilization IV, etc. I'm going to be getting into Pokemon now though, while still doing multiple other projects. It should be very interesting.

Hope you guys didn't mind the long introduction!

Quite the introduction there my friend, good to see your a big pokemon gamer though it seems! You should get to generation IV, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum are good, fun games that I am sure you will appreciate once you reach that generation. The Gold/Silver remakes are whats on my mind though. With that said, Welcome to PC! I hope you enjoy yourself and stay active as this is a very fun and friendly community. If you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

Hehe...once my wallet is bold enough, I'll be sure to gut it for the DS. I would like to have those games, but I'm gonna make sure I have a comfortable amount of money before I start making any purchases.

Yup, same here. I was a huge fan of Pokemon Gold Version - actually, I just started playing it again, lol - so I'm pretty excited for the remakes to come out.

You can be sure of it. I've already started the preliminary work for a new project of mine. I haven't gotten very far at all, but the basics have been laid out. Now I just have to implement my ideas, which unfortunately takes a bit longer to complete. But I've got an entire summer to do it!

Thanks. I actually went out and picked-up Silver Version while you guys were posting, so I suppose I should tack that one onto the list.

Finally, thanks to everyone who's welcomed me here. Much appreciated. :)

Welcome to PC Satoshi! Collecting all of the pokemon games sounds like fun. I would be too lazy to collect them all though. Well, good luck collecting all of them!

Kristine June 29th, 2009 10:00 PM

Great introduction! Nice to meet you and I think you'll enjoy it here at the PC. I'm pretty new here myself but most everyone is friendly and fun to chat with. I've also collected all the pokemon games, Gen 1 - Gen 4, but I did it when they first came out; I cant imagine trying to track them all down now! Good luck finding crystal, and maybe you can find a good deal on a NDS on Ebay or something. My best friend happens to be doing the same thing right now.

Hiidoran June 29th, 2009 10:21 PM

You're building up quite an extensive list of Pokémon games, aren't you? Any plans to add console games or perhaps a few of the spin-offs to the mix?

A bit of a late reply, but I couldn’t let this pretty introduction go without a welcome. After reading so many of them, one tends to treasure the well thought-out threads in this area. ^^

Hope you and your samurai avatar have a great stay, Satoshi. Looking forward to some of those aforementioned projects, my friend. ;D

Yeah, Crystal is gonna be a tough find, but I'm confident I'll get it someday. I'll have to check-out Ebay for a NDS though....I might be able to find a nice deal, so thanks for the idea. :)

It all depends on how cooperative my wallet will be. If I have a nice bit of money, I think I'll grab a couple console games. I've played a few of them and enjoyed them, and I know I'll enjoy collecting them too.

Hehe....I was waiting to see if anyone would notice that the symbol meant "Samurai". And don't worry....I'll be sure to stick to my project and share it with the community. It's just a matter of time. ;)
