5th Generation remakes of Ruby and Sapphire

Think this will happen?

Pattern:
-3rd Gen remakes of Red and Blue
-4th Gen remakes of Gold and Silver
-5th Gen remakes of Ruby and Sapphire

In my opinion, that would be the worst thing in the world. I don't like Hoenn. It's got little going for it and the storyline is so forgettable... the only thing that hoenn had for it was the ease of EV training. (great hotspots, nice egg hatching area)

It might be a bad idea playing wise, but its a smart idea for the makers of Pokemon. Just like many video game creaters, its just an easy way for them to make a quick buck...

maybe they would make it less crappy this time the only thing i thought were cool were the towns and characters i hated the story though

I think its too soon for Hoenn remakes.
Their not as outdated as Kanto and Johto were so I don't see the point as of now.

Remake a remake?

I don't think remaking 3rd gen will be good, it's pretty boring.

idk

but i just got my leaf green and emerald

Probably not. The only reason FireRed and LeafGreen were made was so you could get Pokemon you couldn't get in RSE. And since you can transfer these Pokemon to DPPt, you wouldn't need to remake them.

It doesn't deserve a remake.. Ruby & Saphire weren't terribly good gens.

Switchback June 30th, 2009 9:48 AM

I don't think it's a question on whether the story and map was good or not, but rather on do they really need to? 1st and 2nd gen perhaps yes considering the blocky pixel graphics but Ruby and Sapphire are still quite recent, it really isn't that necessary. I never really minded the graphics from the old games to start with, all this talk about remakes makes me a little sick. Seems everyone is too focused on making money now rather than the originality and quality of their games and the enjoyment that they can provide to gamers and fans across the globe.

We already have a thread for this here, where it fits better: http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=183983

Use that one, please.
