Best Grass Type in FR/LG

Who do you think is the best grass pokemon in FR/LG? I like Oddish.

Sorry I only put three. You can post your favorite out of their evolutionary chain.

Simon September 28th, 2004 4:55 PM

Erm..you mean original 151 Pokemon wise? I'd say Venusaur. Good defenses and a sleeper.

Frostweaver September 28th, 2004 5:00 PM

Errr there's a bit more grass types than this. Where's Exeggutor?

_Chris_ September 28th, 2004 6:23 PM

i like bulbasaur the best out of first 150 but out of all i like treeko, maybe you could add treeko

Chairman Kaga September 28th, 2004 6:33 PM

Ahem...Tangela? Where's Tangela? ;_________;

Err...what I mean to say is that Tangela is the most overlooked grass pokemon of all time. I've never known of anyone using it, that is, except for Erika, and it's usually just Charmeleon fodder for most trainers. It's still awesome, though...just so...err...tangly o_o

salamenceruler04 September 28th, 2004 7:21 PM

Yea, I like tangela the most to. He just looks soo..uh... weird. XD

Mr Cat Dog September 28th, 2004 11:17 PM

I'm with frosty - WHERE'S EXEGGCUTOR! Also - Oddish and Bellossom actually have the same evolutionary chain. This poll's kinda useless... :/

Pikawolf September 29th, 2004 7:39 AM

That's easy, I voted for Bulbasaur. I mean, since the grass type is one of the special types of attacks, and Bulbasaur naturally have high sp.atk., it's the perfect grass type in FR/LG. Plus, it's my favorite Pokemon. ^^

KaeL September 29th, 2004 3:03 PM

I think im gonna go with Bellosom. Im gonna get her :) . Hmm, mabey Sleep powder, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, and..... Any suggestions?

Castrainer September 29th, 2004 3:05 PM

Tangy? ;-;
Wheres Tangela?

So I'll vote for Parasect... WHERES PARASECT? ;~;

seraphim September 29th, 2004 4:09 PM

exeggutor is teh best one...it is resistant to psichic and ground, and has pretty good stats.

Alex_ September 29th, 2004 4:13 PM

definitely bulabasaur venasaur is awesome has pretty good defense too

seraphim October 1st, 2004 11:49 AM

i would never use a grass type, ever, because they are too weak for my liking. nor would i use water types, except for kingdra. especially bug-types...they are far too pathetic... only legendary birds for flying types...and i would use more steel types if they were easier to find...i prefer the multiple types, the ones with the least weaknesses, such as kingdra, with only dragon as a real weakness. or tyranitar

AdamHays October 1st, 2004 3:09 PM

i wouldnt say bulbasaur, cause he not really all the great.so i choose executor XD.

kirby00 October 1st, 2004 3:39 PM

Sceptile b/c unless u have a sunny beamer, razorlife/giga drain is the most powerful attack, and I actually get higher crirtical hit rratios from normal attacks than from rzor leaf. and damage split on 2v2 battles... or petal dance i guess b/c it does 70 base, but betetr to use hp grass cuz no confusion

Dragonfree October 1st, 2004 7:50 PM

Grovyle is my favorite Grass type, but I'm assuming "in FR/LG" means out of the Kanto ones, meaning it's Victreebel. Gotta love the plant that swallows its prey with bones and all. :)

Kura October 1st, 2004 7:54 PM

*blinks* what about bellsprout and evolutions? ._. did they all die off (LOL JKJK) i like bulbasaur! :3 its soo adorable!

!Dragonite! October 1st, 2004 7:57 PM

Tangela, but he is not up there.

TheLegendaryBird October 2nd, 2004 6:11 AM

Venusaur is the best! It can learn the frenzy plant!

seraphim October 2nd, 2004 4:43 PM

what is hp grass or whatever???

kirby00 October 2nd, 2004 7:20 PM

hidden power grass. (hidden power is an attack that can be ANY type except normal, and it can have up to a base of 70) for more infor go to serebii, anyways its a move most pokemon can learn to get a move that is a type usually unavailable to them. and altho hidden power (hp) always says normal, it never is. 1 last thing can be either a sp. att or physical attack. it depends on the type of hp it is.

Star Crossed Dreamer October 3rd, 2004 10:28 AM

Sorry there aren't many choices. I had too much on my mind then. If I could change it I would.

evilgeniusguy October 9th, 2004 6:49 PM

(dancing) bell... bell... bell... BELLOSsOM!

Pichachu October 9th, 2004 8:56 PM

Only kanto? That's only around 7 pokemon, not counting their evolutions.

I don't use grass types. Ever. Most of them have some pretty sad stats, and most can't learn decent attacks. But if I had to choose- I'd say Venusaur. Half of it's stats aren't the best, and the only decent attack it can learn is Solar Beam- not counting the Frenzy Plant move. But it can heal, so I guess I should give it a bit more credit for that.

Simon October 10th, 2004 9:56 AM

Two turn attacks or attacks that waste a turn are bad...always. Unless it's a Hyper Beam on Slaking. In that case it would be good since it'll slack off anyway.

Venusaur rules. I used to use it as a Sleepleacher. I don't anymore though...

Tzuri17 October 10th, 2004 10:28 AM

of course bulbasaur.....

Grass Pokemon Fan March 2nd, 2005 10:50 AM

Well, I love every single grass pokémon in the world, but my absolute favorite is definitely the Bulbasaur line :D.

Neo Android March 2nd, 2005 10:57 AM

I voted for Bulbsaur because i like his evoultionary chain. But a very close second of mine is Victrebell. And Bellsprout. Along with Tangela of course ^^

G-Klav March 2nd, 2005 11:33 AM

I like Vileplume, because he gets decent speed when you use Sunny Day. Of course, it gets weaker against fire then, but his special defence is decent as well ^^

And it's UU too. Kinda neat :D

Emerald Queen March 2nd, 2005 1:40 PM

I like ivysaur from FR/LG, personally. Aesthetically pleasing, but packs quite a punch. Venusaur might be more powerful but not so charming.

Omega593 March 2nd, 2005 3:20 PM

I'd say Vileplume because it looks decent and is good if taught the right moves.

Kyogre-chan March 2nd, 2005 3:25 PM
