~*!*~HAVE YOU EVER?~*!*~

I dont know if this belongs here (even though its a Metal generation game) but anyways another Poll about Pokemon from me, have you ever played the Japanese blue version and the Green Pokemon version before?

I have, but I'm playing them on an emulator

Ayselipera July 8th, 2009 8:11 AM

I never have only because I want to be able to understand what I'm playing.

Vyro July 8th, 2009 8:41 AM

I have played them. but only the roms.

the sprites from green are butt-ugly

derozio July 8th, 2009 8:48 AM

No. I have never played them. What's the difference between green and red?

Vyro July 8th, 2009 8:52 AM

Green is only in japanese and the sprites are butt ugly.

Kakex July 8th, 2009 8:58 AM

ShadowLeader July 8th, 2009 10:46 AM

It was just like Red and Blue...except in Japanese:D

Bagel July 8th, 2009 10:54 AM

~*!*~I'VE PLAYED GREEN ON AN EMULATOR~*!*~

msdmario July 8th, 2009 7:31 PM

No, I never played any of the older generation games in Japanese. Honestly, I never saw a point in doing that since I have access to English versions whether if it is a legal copy or a ROM.

Miss Soupy July 8th, 2009 7:55 PM

Nah, I have the English versions. Which means it's in a language I can understand, and better sprites, or so I hear. So I think I'll pass on the Japanese versions. xD

Johnny590 July 9th, 2009 2:54 AM

A friend of mine told me to try out the original Green version on an Emulator because the sprites looked horrible....and I did. and I agreed with what he told me.

lol

xxxLatiasxxx July 9th, 2009 3:05 AM

No I never have played the Japanese Blue or Green versions.

Archer July 9th, 2009 5:47 AM

Yeah, my friend had it on a 50-in-1 cart for GBC. Apart from being Japanese, it's nothing special.

I might try to play it with my totally absent lack of japanese knowledge some day.

salmence33 July 12th, 2009 3:37 PM

I've played pokemon green
got it on ebay

kickbuttplaya July 15th, 2009 8:32 AM

played both on emulator..
not the best game

Archer July 18th, 2009 4:44 AM

Despite having posted in here already, I saw the thread title and clicked it, expecting a drinking game... =/

It's actually interesting to see the absolute-first version of each of the sprites. Check them out on Serebii or something, but they're raw and unrefined. In a good way.

eddyboy8 July 18th, 2009 3:20 PM

I haven't but I would like to now, :) even though the sprites are butt ugly haha

Anxiety. July 19th, 2009 9:34 AM

Neither of them. I would like to play them though.

Pekachoo July 19th, 2009 4:16 PM

No,
and i probably won't either.
I would cringe at the sprites.

SMGKururu July 21st, 2009 5:31 PM

Does Japan have a blue version? I don't think so. Blue version here was based on the character blue, and his name was green in japan. So I think Green Version=Blue Version. But the spriters changed the sprites for reasons unknown.

On a related note, Pikachu in Pokemon Red is butt ugly.

Mewtwo42 July 22nd, 2009 9:52 AM

I was going to download the Green rom , but decided not to because I can't read Japanese.

Sydian July 24th, 2009 4:05 PM

I'm going to try to get Green version. I can't read Japanese, but I really don't care. I'll wing it. Oh, and I love the funny sprites. :<

Wings Don't Cry July 24th, 2009 4:52 PM

I've only played Green but I've played Red/Blue in English so it seemed pointless to play it in Japanese except for getting a Mew instead of a diploma.

KingAlex July 24th, 2009 5:08 PM

I didn't know you get Mew as the prize for the Pokedex.

Hey, it must be worth it!

So, I haven't played them before, but they sound good!
