CoD: WaW - Nazi Zombies Map Pack Two

So, just wondering what you guys think of the new Shin No Numa map, if you play it, as well as records, preferably with pictures so there's no arguing about if you're lying or not. XD

I uploaded a few so you know I wasn't glitching anywhere. XD

Dude you got further than I ever have on map 3. Me and two of my mates made it to 17, but we were crazy lucky with the mystery box weapons. 2 of us had MGs (MG42 and Browning) and one of us had the PTSR rifle (which is like one hit kill)
Then I had a ray gun as my second weapon, one of us had that electric rifle thing and the guy with the rifle had a magnum, was awesome.

Is it better than the first map pack? I've yet to get this one.

Zombies is, I haven't played the main online maps for map pack 2 so I can't say.
But new Zombie map is awesome, it's bigger, more strategic, more frantic and has characters (A German, Russian, American and Japanese) Weapon costs are also more appropriate and there are HUGE zombie wolf things.

Zombie wolf things? Wolfie-kun likes the sound of that =3

I've played it a few times, the highest I got to was round 19 with 4 strangers iirc.
This map is far better than Verruckt, imo. You have a large, 2 storey building in the center with 4 pathways branching off that lead to smaller buildings containing mystery box spawns and a random vending machine.
Map layout
The Hellhounds make things a bit more interesting aswell.

Yeah, I was using an MG42 and Ray Gun myself. The Electric rifle is called the WunderWaffe, and it works pretty well when you're in a room filled with Zombies, but otherwise it isn't that great. XD

It's much better than the first one. There are separate buildings you can run to.

Yeah, the Hell Hounds are insane. o.o

I think it isn't worth it. xD 10 bucks for three below par maps (well Bonzai is pretty awesome, but awfully small) and a single zombie map that I'd probably get bored of after reaching 15+.

Well, my friend bought it and brought over his Xbox HDD and we played it. We played private matches on all of the new maps, and Bonzai was my favorite to play on. Whatever that train place was was really neat because it was supposedly based off the move "Enemy at the Gates" (watch, it's an awesome movie, and that level seriously reminds me of a section of the movie).

The only thing attractive to me about the new zombie maps is the fact that you can run outside, and the spinning spike trap is frickin' hilarious. I love watching those zombies fly up and smack into the building. xD

I personally think the Zombie map alone is worth the price of the map pack.

I think the highest wave I got to was 21 or 22. And the only reason why we didn't go higher was because we ended up at the worst place (I think it's the fishing hut... well, it has 3 windows, and no electric fence), we lost our 4th person, and one went down and then another went down trying to revive that person. Over all, I love the map, I think it's awesome and it's never a dull moment when you get up on the higher end waves.

I like the backstory they're doing. Go on YouTube and search Telixion Theory for great justice. Apart from that all I can say is 'meh', there have been a lot of good custom maps around for ages.

By the way Shi no Numa means Swamp of Death; how uncreative of them.

If you got the PC version you'd realise the excellence that is 50 player games and getting the zombie and multiplayer maps free. Plus thanks to modders I play Nacht der Untoten with CoD4 weapons, always fun.

Oh and the Soviet levels in Stalingrad in the first CoD (and Finest Hour) are the true Enemy at the Gates reference.

Fenrir Reki July 18th, 2009 5:15 PM

Shi No Numa is awesome. Its a real big map with hell dogs that can be very crazy to kill if you try to solo. I love playing it though. My highest i've ever gotten to was 19, but I dont have any screenshot of it. Does anyone ever pay attention to the epic music that randomly plays if you kill a lot of zombies? I think it sounds awesome. The one for Shi No Numa and Zombie Verruckt both sound so kickass.(its probably just me lol) In case someone asks for the background music for Shi No Numa heres the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?q40i5nmm40y There is no viruses or anything. I downloaded it, tested it, and it works perfectly fine. I also have the other link for the bgm of Zombie Verruckt but I wont post that.

I have the 360 version, and honestly, 50 player multiplayer doesn't appeal to me. (I get annoyed just playing Groundwar on CoD4. And that's only 3 people extra per team). Sure Zombies are fun. But in my own personal opinion, they get old way too fast.

Now I know for a fact that a similar gametype will be returning in MW2, and I hope they at least take it to a new level of making it a bit more interesting than "go here, then try not to die. Camp here and wait for them to come through the door". I know that I don't HAVE to play like that, but it's the only practical way to survive. I just want a more adventure styled gameplay. Like a full-blown level that FORCES you to move. I think the only thing Treyarch did to fix that was the teddy bear in the mystery box, and even still, if you get a good gun early on, who gives a crap where the box moves?

Btw, I sold the game. xD 30$ for it. I'm actually saving up for a PS3 right now for LittleBigPlanet.

Klippy July 18th, 2009 10:53 PM

Huh. I didn't know the map packs were free on the PC. I happen to own both versions because someone got me the Xbox 360 version for my birthday and another got me it for Christmas, so I might just open up the PC version and enjoy these zombie packs.

I played Verruckt with my uncle and it was awesome compared to the original. So I enjoyed the improvements. I can only imagine that Shin No Numa is better than the previous two. It'll be exciting to get into the game more now.

Gummy July 18th, 2009 11:09 PM

I have no pictures (yet), but my personal best is wave 16, and that was with me and just one other guy. In my opinion, Shi No Numa is the best map due to it's size. Strategies are capable of much more depth now that people have room to run around (yeah, I know the swamp makes you super slow, but they couldn't make it TOO easy).

Ooka July 19th, 2009 12:35 PM

Just made it to 29 on my own, didn't get a picture this time though. I'll go for it again and see if I can't get a picture this time. Also made it to 25 with 1 other person. (I like how it only sends as many zombies as it does depending on how many players there are, makes it easier for single player).

Sacrifar July 20th, 2009 10:45 AM

dude barely beat you!!! survived 32 rounds fiiillleeerr

Ooka July 20th, 2009 2:08 PM

Have any pictures of it? Just wondering because 29 was all I could stand, and that's with getting Nukes and Insta-Kills.

Haza July 22nd, 2009 12:05 AM

Love this one. They added wolves/outside/characters and a new gun! Its sp great and suspenseful.

Stronkadonk July 22nd, 2009 6:20 PM

I love Shi No Numa. The WunderTommy-BettyHut Strategy rules. I made it to Round 168 on Solo Mode. Number 1017 on X-Box Live Leaderboards now. :D
