Are you republican or democrat

Are you left winged or right winged liberal or conservative I am a republican because I am very pro-life

processr July 20th, 2009 9:52 AM

Ugh, the horribly outdated Left-Right scale. The Political Compass is a much better measure of your views.

I'm practically apolitical, as no major British party is that near to my own views. The nearest, however, would probably be Liberal Democrat.

Zakarii July 20th, 2009 9:53 AM

I'm for neither. Politics scare me.

...There's a lot more to the label of "Republican" than just the issue of abortion, you know.

I typically consider myself to be pro-life in most circumstances, but I'm sure as hell no conservative.

Without going into too much detail on this subject, seeing as most political threads here end in ruin, I'm a Socialist. I want to say "Communist," but it's been proven in society that a social and economic system that supports absolute equality, and and equal opportunity for all members of society always seems to become twisted in one way or another.

Anyways, here are my results of that quiz:

I'm a republican, I'm against embryonic stem cell research.

Zeta Sukuna July 20th, 2009 9:56 AM

I... choose to stay far away from politics, due to personal issues.

xoBoxxy July 20th, 2009 10:43 AM

I don't care about politics (:

Shem July 20th, 2009 10:43 AM

I agree with the Republican party on most views, the only thing I can think of that I disagree with is their views on abortion, stem cell research etc.

I am a Liberal. However, for anyone who is a Democrat you will often find yourself being a Liberal and Liberals will often be a Democrat, they often overlap.

Yeah, notice I how I spelled "liberal"

I do! Furthermore, I believe that the governement should turn a blind eye to infanticide.

Seriously, listen to Hungry Men.

Anyway, I'm neither. The fact that no one else seems to think that having a country made of two different power-seeking groups constantly at each other's throats over every little stupid thing could possibly lead to economic, military, and social problems scares the hell out of me, though.

Wow, congratulations. You've succeeded in turning this into a debate thread.

Before you try to validate your view points, please, work on your grammar skills.

I understand both sides of the abortion debate, but to just use the arguement "you're killing innocent babies" only shows how uninformed you really are.

This does not equal This.

Plus, when you talk about our "four fathers" (pretty sure I only have one, actually), keep in mind that not everyone here is from the United States.

The USA wasn't founded on democracy, it was just a bunch of "enlightened" nobles who saw the chance to become rich and powerful.

But you are correct, we argue on important topics and decide which ones deserve more attention.

On topic: I usually favor the Democrats, hell, I usually favor liberal parties in general (I have dual citizenship).

Too bad it's not going to get there. Been there, done that too many times. And really, you can tell you're republican just by looking at the poll. ):
