$Price Speculation$

How much do you think HeartGold and SoulSilver will be sold in America for(Or an other country infact)? Will it be the usual 35$ or more because the addition of the Pokewalker?

Camisado July 21st, 2009 3:31 AM

I suspect there will be a little markup, like the addition of the WiiSpeak with Animal Crossing for Wii.

I'm not really sure what the market value of the PokéWalker would be though, as I've not seen a lot of it o.o

Samme! July 21st, 2009 3:32 AM

That's true, I was thinking maybe around $40 sounded fair enough

Camisado July 21st, 2009 3:35 AM

$40 after the original game is $35? I'm pretty sure they'll milk us for more than that.

With my example of City Folk - the RRP for the game is $49.99 while with the WiiSpeak the package is $69.99. The PokéWalker is probably going to be another $15 - $20.

Mitchman July 21st, 2009 3:37 AM

Yeah the price could be well in the 50s 60s price range.

Eon-Rider July 21st, 2009 3:50 AM

I'm sure the game will be sold at the same price as any other DS game with the same standards which is roughly $69 AUS in Australia. FireRed and LeafGreen sold at the same price as GBA games with the same standards despite coming with a Wireless Adapter.

kiv_umar July 21st, 2009 3:51 AM

in japan they've not topped the price with the addition of the Pokéwalker, it's stayed at the average ds game price.

Timbjerr July 21st, 2009 3:53 AM

standard DS game: 35 USD
Pokewalker: ~15 USD
-----------------------------
total: ~50 USD

Samme! July 21st, 2009 4:09 AM

But so you seriously think that that little piece of plastic pokeball would be worth $15?? It probably costs $1 to make.......I don't think it will go up to 50 or 60 bucks but I'm jsut hoping they keep the price reasonable.

It's a pedometer with an LCD screen and some programming, and it's able to communicate with the DS. It's DEFINITELY worth $15.

Wings Don't Cry July 21st, 2009 4:52 AM

It's really hard to say in New Zealand, Emerald was $140 when it came out of course no one bought it so they dropped it to $70 after a week, so i really can't say how much it will be for me

Did the FrLg games cost more when they had the wireless adapter added to it? Because I think we should think of the Pokewalker as the wireless adapter (though are two different things). If the addition of the wireless adapters made the price of FrLg increase, then the Pokewalker might make the price of HG/SS increase. I honestly hope I don't have to pay extra for this game just for a Pokewalker. I want to be able to afford both Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Leyt July 21st, 2009 5:19 AM

I was hoping it'd stay at the regular price, but I have an optimist side when it comes to spending money.

Xyrin July 21st, 2009 5:23 AM

I think it'll be around $50.00. That's how much add-ons are usually...

atrend July 21st, 2009 5:23 AM

I think it'll be the normal price, as FR/LG didn't cost more with the Wireless Adapter. But then again, a Wireless Adapter isn't like a Pokéwalker... I guess €40-50 here in Europe.

Fantomix July 21st, 2009 5:28 AM

I hope it sticks to the regular price here in Australia; we're ripped off enough paying $AU70 for each game when that equates to $USD57 (although the exchange rate is rather high at the moment) and you guys are paying $35 :P. I don't think they'll change it, honestly, at least not in Aus, if they're nice (but they won't be, profit's profit).

machinegun777 July 21st, 2009 5:30 AM

I think it would be $30, that's how much new Nintendo DS games usually cost

Serene Grace July 21st, 2009 5:41 AM

Normally, in the UK, the new Pokemon games are around £29 to £35. I expect Heart Gold and Soul Silver to be the same price range. Maybe going up to £37.

Jordan... July 21st, 2009 6:40 AM

It'll be £25 at my local shop. All Ds games are no matter what comes with them.

mew² July 21st, 2009 6:44 AM

$35 - $40. The PokeWalker is just a tool that has an optional use so it might not be worth a lot or anything.

Ayselipera July 21st, 2009 7:35 AM

I would say $50 or a little more. I really can't see the pokewalker being 15 dollars alone even if it does have an LED screen. Unless they just way over price it to make a profit.

Mew~ July 21st, 2009 7:59 AM

Well i dunno about america but 4 uk im guessing £32.99

thats a pretty good point actuarly and no they didnt increace and at the same time the advence sp decreaced cost ^^

glow.ForEveR July 21st, 2009 8:15 AM

It will be 35 more than likely. You have to realize that the pokewalker isnt new technology
Its really simple to make. why would the price go up because of this? the price of FR/LG didnt go up because it had one of those wireless link cable thingies.

pokemonfreak47 July 21st, 2009 8:19 AM

HG/SS Price

My friend gets Nintendo e-mails, the price will be $49.95.

Ellie July 21st, 2009 8:30 AM

It'll probably be the same as normal DS games. FrLg didn't have an increased price with the Wireless Adaptor, and the Japanese release is projected to cost the same as other Japanese DS games.
