Any Pokemon Episodes or moments that made you tear up?

C'mooooooon, we ALL know there have been episodes like these that at a certain point have stricken to our core.

Like when Ash released Butterfree. Or when Misty said goodbye to Ash and Brock.

The list goes on and on.

Seriously, the episodes that made me jerk a tear or two the first time I saw them have ALL related to Team Rocket.

When they released Arbok/Weezing, I cried. Seriously.

Well, not crying crying, as if somebody died. But you get my point.

I don't know, it kinda made me feel bad seeing Arbok and Weezing leave crying after being with Team Rocket for so long.

Same goes for Dustox and Chimecho. D:

When it comes to Ash's Pokemon....Feh!! I can't say his releases have affected much, except for Butterfree, Pidgeot & Lapras. ;___; But they weren't tear jerkers. ;P

The only episode (From recent Pokemon seasons) that REALLY, really made me sad (and I'm 18 years old, dudes) was when Misty said goobye to Togepi (Togetic).

I mean...WTH!! That Pokemon was with them for such a looooooong time, and then its bye bye. I was like this when it happened ---> o_0 ;__;

Wings Don't Cry July 22nd, 2009 3:39 AM

Mine would have definitely when Misty's selfish sisters decided to just leave a gym for her to run and prevented her from being able to travel with Ash and Brock

Samike360 July 22nd, 2009 6:42 AM

Your talking about this episode, right? I have it on VHS.

And no, there hasn't been any episodes that made me tear up...

MechaTrickster July 22nd, 2009 7:00 AM

None of them most of the episodes have some retarded part where it just makes me turn the channel.... unless you wanna count tearing up in 1997 where over 700 japanese children were ut in the hospital due to a banned epsiode....

Tito91 July 22nd, 2009 7:14 AM

For me, it wasn't in an episode. It was in the first pokemon movie.
When Ash got hit by mewtwo and mew's blast then then turned to stone and pikachu and the others started to cry and everything... when i mean i cryed so much... (I'm 18 and I still cry at that scene, I don't care) it almost made me give up on pokemon forever...

Fishyman July 22nd, 2009 7:44 AM

When they left Gliscor out in the woods, he tripped, and started crying.

zevarius kerensky July 22nd, 2009 2:24 PM

the end sene of lucairo and the mystery of mew (death sene)
after the movie... lucario became my fav after

Spinor July 22nd, 2009 2:45 PM

Let me try to remember.... erm...

Oh yeah! I cried during the episode where Brock dances like a Mexican with Ludicolo because it was super funny and.... POOF! My cable died for the rest of the episode ;_;....

I think that is all...

lol it was because of a clip, not the whole episode. It broke the Guinness book of World Records for most seizures during a television show in Japan.

I just watched that hoping I wouldn't get a seizure but it didn't faze me at all

Ayselipera July 22nd, 2009 7:52 PM

Well its not an episode, but in the first movie when Ash "dies" I cried hard.
Mind you I was very young.

Mew~ July 23rd, 2009 1:39 AM

theres a new 4 me:
when james left his Chimecho
when jessie left her Dustox
the epiosde where ash catches chimchar (well uhh... asks it to join him xD)
the first episode of battle dimention (chimchars tears or somthing)
movie 3(wif molly and entai :'( )
movie 4(when celebi dies)
movie 9 (when may leaves manaphy)

wow im a cry baby....

mhadz0021 July 23rd, 2009 2:04 AM

When Pikachu had amnesia and pikachu thought that James was Ash and Ash was realllllyy sad....and when they almost drown (it was Advanced Challenge i think..)

Late July 23rd, 2009 2:35 AM

I have cried almost everytime when watching episode 39 - Pikachu's goodbye when I have been little younger. We have recorded so many pokémon episodes to VHS and I have watched every of those episodes so many times. Charizard episode is sad too. (Episode 136 - Charizard's burning ambitions, if I am right)

Camisado July 23rd, 2009 2:59 AM

Most of the movies generally make me tear up, whether it's a sad moment or a slushy feelgood moment xD

I watch them when I'm down and need cheering up xD;;

nickstr July 23rd, 2009 3:33 AM

I will admit that there was a Pokemon episode which made me cry and yes it was Gotta Catch Ya Later. I agree with what was said previously and also think Misty's sisters were selfish by doing that as well. This actually made me give up on the Pokemon TV show and movies (I still watch episodes and movies up to that point and that point ONLY) and almost made me give up on Pokemon as a whole.

Wings Don't Cry July 23rd, 2009 4:13 AM

I just re-watched episode 50 of D/P and that really made me cry when Paul just threw away Chimchar like that

★Sakuya-San★ July 23rd, 2009 4:47 AM

I started to cry when Celebi died in the fourth movie and when Lucario sacrificed its life in the 8th movie

Jorah July 23rd, 2009 5:22 AM

I cried in the episodes "Bye Bye Butterfree" and "Pikachu's Goodbye" when they first aired XD I also cried when I rewatched "Bye Bye Butterfree" 2 years ago XD Nothing else in Pokemon has ever made me cry or really be sad, except for Chimchar which made me kind of sad.

Enlightened_Adept July 23rd, 2009 6:54 AM

I cried when Ash was hit by Mew and Mewtwo's blasts, cause Pikachu cried.
And when Lapras left.
so sad......:(

XxDawnfanxX July 23rd, 2009 8:40 AM

When Jesse and James let Weezing and Arbok go, I was crushed

The Butterfree going, come on how can you not be touched by that?

What got me them most and I still get kind of sad thinking about it was when Misty left, she was with Ash through all his ups and downs and she was a great character.

Super Puppy July 23rd, 2009 2:23 PM

I cried. Like, actually had tears on my face, when Team Rocket released Arbok and Weezing. That was the biggest one for me.

With Ash I've never felt anything, because he does it so often. Moron needs to stop leaving his Pokemon all over the place.

Akatsuki July 23rd, 2009 3:06 PM

When Pidgeot was released. I as like...o.o'...:'(. It was so sad. XD

Meganium` July 23rd, 2009 4:28 PM

Mine was when Misty released Togetic.

EmeraldSky July 23rd, 2009 6:17 PM

"Do I Hear a Ralts?" got my misty eyed twice:

When Max was crying over the Ralts (I tend to cry if someone else is crying onscreen)
The Ralts' promise at the end

The Jewel of Life July 24th, 2009 1:15 PM

I have only cried once during pokemon, and I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this moment yet; when jirachi (sp?) had to leave Max. Sniffle.

ShinjisLover July 24th, 2009 2:10 PM

No, none that I can remember. The one scene is Pokémon Heroes was slightly sad, but nothing really made me 'tear up'.

Yeah, I know, I'm just so~ insensitive. ¬_¬"

Super Puppy July 24th, 2009 4:51 PM

I thought of another one.

In the Pokemon Chronicles episode "Training Daze," I got sad when James let himself fall off that cliff to save Jessie and Meowth. I don't think I actually cried, though. It was just kind of touching.

Inferno1 July 24th, 2009 4:54 PM

I was sad when misty left but other than that nothing has really been that sad except maybe arbok and weazing leaving

Zeroess July 24th, 2009 5:13 PM

When Zero looked like he died on the 11th movie
Damn :(

Lady Gaga July 25th, 2009 1:46 PM

Not really in the show, well probably I have, and I can rember crying at Pokemon episodes, I just cant remeber em (tho I did tear up when James left his Chimecho). It was the first Pokemon Movie, when Ash died. I actually bawled my eyes out, and i still do!

PokéFan Silverstorm July 29th, 2009 4:33 PM

I think a lot of the scenes where the trainers have to leave their Pokemon were really sad. It's just an emotional attachment and having to part with them is always tough. Like losing a best friend or so.

The most sad for me was still Bye Bye Butterfree I think, the way it was done was really awesome. I can't help getting a lump in my throat and tearing up at that scene, no matter many times I watch it.

Call me a wuss if you want :<

Darkrai-Hero August 1st, 2009 1:20 AM

The episode were Ash starting crying when he was going to leave Pikachu, such a long time ago. And obviously the first movie when Ash died (but really, half or more of the theatre started as well :P)

MegaKirby August 1st, 2009 8:27 AM

Pikachu's Goodbye mainly because it very sad and, when Misty left don't get me wrong, May and Dawn are hot and there characters are alright but, it would of been better if they kept Misty IMO she had the best character, instead of introducing the girls from the games.

Personally when the anime start with the 5th generation, I hope Misty returns but, I really doubt it going to happen. :(

Blue_Drifblim August 3rd, 2009 6:17 AM

I'm pretty sure I was teary eyed the entire episode with Jessie and her Blissey. That was really sad...

Misty4Life August 5th, 2009 10:19 AM

I don't cry very easily, but I know I came close with the first movie(basically everyone agrees on that), when Ash released Butterfree, and worst of all, the one where Misty leaves. Especially since it felt rushed. Well, to me it did. Also, I almost cried when I realized Misty probably wasn't coming back as a main character, and when the voice actors were changed. I have long since decided I'm not watched Diamond and Pearl, and I probably won't watch season 9(I might, just to have finished watching the Hoenn region.) The only episodes I've ever watched with the new voice actors have been incredibly disappointing.

Houndour2004 August 5th, 2009 11:30 AM

Pikachu's Goodbye too!

Lovely memories!

Flamezdudes August 5th, 2009 12:02 PM

I don't cry over show's, movies whatever. Especially Pokemon.

agreed with this and then of course the releasing of butterfree, weezing, and arbok, then of course the first movie when ash was turned to stone, and jessie and her blissey, also i remember when james met up with his old arcanine but then had to say goodbye again

Cloche August 5th, 2009 1:13 PM

I cried at these episodes
- When Pikachu "left"
- When Misty Left. <=== tragic.

The only one: Me. I won't cry at anything. No matter what. My parents die, I won't cry. Just won't. It's a sad scene, but I won't cry. And to the topic: Nope, not one at all. As stated above, I won't cry at anything.

Wow, dude. You're exactly my type of personality! That answers all of me.

ReyRey-Pyon August 7th, 2009 7:19 AM

When Butterfree was released
All the episodes where a pokemon or character leaves makes me all teary in fact
But the butterfree episode was ;____;

the first movie when ash was turned to stone, Even though I know it happens, I still cry a little everytime i see it ;n;

Same here, which is why I chose 'Dark Weezing' for my net non-de-plume. I did try with Celebi as it died, but I couldn't, as it felt forced. Yes, I liked the character, but I didn't know it long enough, like the Rockets' Arbok and Weezing. So, I couldn't. I must be a bad person. heh.

(Posting as to remind people that I'm not completely dead. Just merely dead.)

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ August 8th, 2009 7:56 AM

I just wish that Ash didin't release some of his Pokemon like Pidgeot, hes a fool for doing that >.>". Also there hasn't been an episode yet that brung a tear to my eye
