Hacked Pokemon on the GTS
Does it make you mad when you trade away a Pokemon on the GTS that you worked hard on training, only receiving a hacked Pokemon for it?
Like for example, I traded away my Dialga, an in exchange I received a Lv.100 Toxicroak. I was really happy, until I realized that this Pokemon was caught using an Action Replay... |
Does it really matter though? They are still pokemon.....

Yeah, I hate it! I got a shiny, japanese Skuntank at level 100! ..but, like always, HACK!
So I offered it up and got a legit Honchkrow. XDDD |

In my opinion, it only matter if you plan to trade it or the stats are hacked. Simple as that. (My opinion)
|
It really depends. If it looks legit, well, its okay.
|
It just seems cheapened and so clearly not "real" (like they're real to begin with). You trade away something you spent some time on to get a Toxicroak caught in Victory Road. How gay is that? I don't want to see that every time I open up its page. Especially if it was caught in a master ball.
|
I got scammed a shiny LEGIT Uxie for a Level 100 Shiny Giratina (Origin), but, it was hacked, and it was also from Platinum.
|
I dont think its a big deal
Its still a pokemon Its just not worth as much lol |
Yeah people trading me cheated pokemon and crap I hate it. But who cares the toxicroak is still a pokemon at least.
|
I don't trade high levelled Pokémon on GTS, level 30 is the max. Then you're almost certain of getting a legit Pokémon (mostly one that's untouched).
But I know it should be frustrating when you get a Pokémon, hacked in a few seconds, for your legit Pokémon, which you trained for hours. |
I've never liked cheat devices.
Why should you spend hours and hours catching and training your Pokémon to fulfil a trade - and maybe even chaining for shinies - when someone else is going to sit there for five minutes with a cheat device to get the same result? It just doesn't seem right. |

Thats why i hardly use the GTS, i normaly only put up my breedables for trade, that way if i get hacks in return (i still would feel cheated) but it isnt realy a big lose as it doesnt take much time to breed, rather then hours and hours of training

I wont trade a Pokemon that I worked really hard on, the GTS but if I did, its just a piece of data, big deal you can get another piece. Its not like the Pokemon is actually real, so it doesn't matter
:t354:TG |
so theres no way to tell if it has been hacked except for it having a high level, meaning it has a big chance that it wasnt trained to LVL.100
and it kinda looks different after you got it? and if it shows that its in a master ball? BOOO GTS, wheres the fun in the game wen u have the cheat device? if i had such a device i dont even think id pick up my DS ever again. |
ive never got a hacked pokemon from GTS ive only traded 3 poke on it and the 3 poke ive got back are legit
but i would get pretty mad if i did get a hacked poke next time XD but it is just a game i guess :) |
Bidoof for lv.100 Shiny Lucario
I want my Bidoof back D: |
I would like to get legit pokemon as well, I just got a lv. 99 Ursaring that was caught at lv. 99. Sure it is still a pokemon, but I would rather get one that was caught and raised with passion.
|
I always wondered why the GTS wouldn't allow you to see the summary of a Pokémon, or why they took the ability to see the level in Platinum (a developer must be laughing at us right now when we attempt to trade a poke only to find out that it isn't the proper level...).
Anyways, you took the risk of the GTS, and you lost. I feel sorry for you... |
Yes. I traded away my legit Froslass that was at level 83 and I recieved a Lv. 100 Phione. I was really happy as well.....until I found out he captured it on route 228...I basically wasted a Froslass. I can't get rid of this Phione now.
|
I h8 people like that and hows it not a big deal when you cant breed a breedable without getting a bad egg (=-_0)
|
To avoid this, try thinking like a hacker. They can hack anything they want into the game... So they're really just looking for level 100's of obscure stuff- or legit pokemon. How I avoided this was getting all valuable pokemon by myself... I only use the GTS for loose-end pokemon from games I don't have access to. Asking for a lvl 100 or an event pokemon = you're getting a hacked pokemon, chances are. If you put up your fresh Palkia... It's lvl 70, etc, hackers are going to assume it's legit, and hack whatever you want for it to get it. So you lost a pokemon you can only get once-per-playthrough for a hacked pokemon.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the eggs from hacked pokemon are legit. However, the difference only really matters if you plan on doing something with them that requires you to not have hacked pokemon. There is no practical difference in a pokemon generated by your cartrige, or a AR device or something... Unless they nerf it or something trying to be cute. |
