Halcyon August 11th, 2009 12:54 AM

It sounds great although I don't think I'd be using though. :/

Tox August 11th, 2009 1:00 AM

Cool. :] I'd say I'll stick to the default font that I have though.

processr August 11th, 2009 1:29 AM

Will the option to remove such formatting from everything we see be coming soon? D;

bit.trip void August 11th, 2009 1:32 AM

God, I hope so. Really annoying when people decide to type in yellow.

Pretty cool idea, won't be using it though.

Bianca Paragon August 11th, 2009 1:42 AM

Awesome! I love this feature <3 I will give you additional hugs for implementing it :D

Bianca Paragon August 11th, 2009 2:17 AM

I'm always on the IRC ;_; You could always harass me on twitter and then you will get daily hugs :D I'll try to be on the IRC more often; tho ~ but whenever I look at it there's nobody on and it makes me sad.

Mitchman August 11th, 2009 2:49 AM

Oh wow awesome feature. I just got my default changed and now I am perfectly happy. Trying to find a color though.

Melody August 11th, 2009 5:48 AM

Hmm. I'm glad to see it implemented. :D Now I can change my default color to whatever suits my theme/mood

Tyrantrum August 11th, 2009 5:52 AM

This is awesome! :D

Got my default, as well~

Gulpin August 11th, 2009 6:04 AM

Awesome, I think I'm set!

Ho-Oh August 11th, 2009 6:11 AM

I only just saw this, lol :[

Yaaay bold <3

Members being able to have bold usertitles next plz.

Gummy August 11th, 2009 6:19 AM

I predict many unreadable posts in the future, but this is an interesting idea nonetheless.

also, sadness at no calibri. ;~;

Oh, I know, that's what I wanted. ;;

Vigilante August 11th, 2009 6:42 AM

It would be better if we could put hexcodes to get colors.

.Seth August 11th, 2009 6:49 AM

^ I would like that.

But, anyways, this is awesome. Thanks to whoever worked on it. :D

Kyouya August 11th, 2009 6:51 AM

i just set it and it didnt work nevermind

Cherrim August 11th, 2009 9:13 AM

omg typing a post without [font=tahoma] is going to be so weird. ;_;

Is there a way to remove my set formatting without going into Options to reset to default, then post, then re-enable, etc?

Lucy Lu August 11th, 2009 9:20 AM

Oh wow, that is very nice(just went to check it out). But I won't be using it. Maybe down the road I might use it. Not now though. Thanks Audy! You are a genius. =D

Hovo August 11th, 2009 9:25 AM

I don't think I'd be using it, but awesome new feature nonetheless.

Buoysel August 11th, 2009 9:38 AM

Oh this is so awesome I'm going to use this.

Camisado August 11th, 2009 9:48 AM

Just thought I should mention, Audy, although it won't bother me:

http://i26.*.com/av26qa.jpg

Drop-down list comes up blank for colour; Safari 4 on Mac OS X 10.5 xD; Also using The Pokéthletes theme, if that's perhaps the problem.

Bianca Paragon August 11th, 2009 10:08 AM

Confirmed: same problem as above with the same config~
http://i26.*.com/28h2a7a.png
Tested with Blossom Shower, also; definitely Safari disagreeing with the code.

Tinhead Bruce August 11th, 2009 10:13 AM

Tested using Safari 3 and Firefox 3.5 on OSX 10.5.7.

Colors were visible in Firefox on the 5 themes I tested, colors were invisible in Safari on the 5 themes I tested.

Using Safari 3:

http://i26.*.com/2mob8mg.jpg

As you can see, the Pokéthletes theme seems not to be the problem. I guess the problem is with Safari.

mew² August 11th, 2009 10:14 AM

Hmm, thanks! This will be very useful. Now I can be lazy :D

Cherrim August 11th, 2009 10:20 AM

lol safari. :( how come it wigs out because of our code more than IE?

Bianca Paragon August 11th, 2009 10:23 AM

Because it's properly coded and passes the compliance tests, I guess? :X IE is the one LEAST likely to freak out because it parses poorly written code much more readily than the others.

Interesting to note; though, that when you select a color?
http://i32.*.com/dxn679.png
It shows up fine :D

Ineffable~ August 11th, 2009 10:45 AM

Wow, this is so awesome! I always hated changing the font everytime! Now it will be easy! :D

The Roshi August 15th, 2009 7:17 PM

Nice update! I'm going to figure out a good font right now... Thank you so much

Archer August 15th, 2009 7:23 PM

This is going to be a pain. I'm all for allowing people to pick a font, but some colours don't agree with some themes. I'm using a dark theme and it really makes dark colours hard to read and red just burns.

Taemin August 15th, 2009 7:23 PM

Sucks that it's having issues in some browsers, but it's working fine in Chrome, and OMG I LOVE IT.

Thanks for this, Audy. :D

Aizuke August 15th, 2009 7:38 PM

You should add Segoe UI and italics, plz. :3

I'd say colour, but ugh, let's not go too crazy. >_>

.Seth August 15th, 2009 8:11 PM

[nf]I've got Segoe UI selected, size 2, black, no bold, and it's wrapping "[nf]" tags around my posts.
Any idea what these are?[/nf]

The same thing happens to me, though all I have is Tahoma font select. (And I'm currently using Safari.)

At first, this issue never occurred, now it's every time. O_o[/nf]

edit: that confirms it also wraps through advanced reply, not just quick.

That was happening to me too so I just changed back as I thought it would always do that or something. But I am really glad that this is a feature now ^^[/nf]

And now it is [/nf] ing me when I have the font set as forum default :/

Giraffes? Giraffes! August 15th, 2009 8:19 PM

[nf]I actually thought the "[nf][/nf]" things were just me so i removed my defaults D: What's the problem with it?[/nf]

Soul Eater August 15th, 2009 8:23 PM

This is way easier than wasting time with tags and stuff. <3 I like it this way alot because it does it for you. :D vB is coming out lots of useful things. <3

Careful With That Axe, Pichu! August 15th, 2009 8:30 PM

[nf]well, this rocks. no more annoying 30 seconds of text formatting for me.[/nf]

.little monster August 15th, 2009 8:34 PM

[nf]The NF thing is annoying me greatly, but I'd rather have purple text.[/nf]

You, um, reformat the post?[/nf]

mew² August 15th, 2009 8:40 PM

[nf][nf]Erg. nf = evil >:| What is that?[/nf][/nf]

Probably something that activates the automatic formating, but they added an extra one maybe. I don't know, that's my theory. I know nothing about coding though. I just edit to take it out

ReyRey-Pyon August 15th, 2009 8:45 PM

the nf thingies are invading the posts D:
LAIK SRS WAT TEH FRENZY IZ ^ W/ THAT? http://a.deviantart.net/avatars/g/w/gwahplz.png
but seriously, >n>

i guess they aren't much a big huge deal, but they're annoying D;

>n>

mew² August 15th, 2009 8:47 PM

[nf]I know use default style. That is off thy wall.[/nf]

Edit: AHHH! WTH?

Feign August 15th, 2009 8:49 PM

[nf]Yeah I've just noticed that happening now and thought I'd come here.

*waits patiently* XD[/nf]

ReyRey-Pyon August 15th, 2009 8:51 PM

[nf]though
Im kinda curious about what "NF" is supposed to stand for anyways... maybe No formatting/Font? >.>
just a guess[/nf]

.little monster August 15th, 2009 8:55 PM

Now they are gone when I post, I think we are safe now from the NF monster. ;o;

I do not know. I fear tis is only the beginning o;

.Seth August 15th, 2009 9:07 PM

Yeah, for all we know, it could just be lurking around waiting to pop in again, and have everyone go "*GASP*".
/makes a leery face

Or, it's completely removed. ; 3

mew² August 15th, 2009 9:10 PM

[nf]I do not know....[/nf]

bwahaha, just kidding.

Taemin August 15th, 2009 9:36 PM

The NF thing seems to happen pretty randomly.. it's a bit annoying, but also could be worse. xD So I'm just trying to ignore it's existence for now.

You dare ignore what controls you o_o
You, my dear friend Drew, have guts!

beauty. proletariat August 15th, 2009 10:28 PM

Oh god D;

On Poketheletes Inverted half the posts I cant even see anymore D:

Make a check box to remove such formatting or atleast remove the colors that look invisible to me ;_;

Tyrantrum August 16th, 2009 12:12 AM

Well, even though they might be slightly annoying, the [nf][/nf] tags really shouldn't be very bothering, seeing as it doesn't do anything to the posts.

Ayano Katagiri August 16th, 2009 1:27 AM

Cool feature, it even overrides the user default font style. ^^
Being able to input our own hexadecimal color code would be nice though.

It's coming soon, apparently.

Ultraviolence August 16th, 2009 3:08 AM

This is a nice feature. As I use my Wii internet half the time, It means I will not get annoyed by the Wii's dodgy formatting n-n

Matteron (96) August 16th, 2009 6:04 AM

Wow this is a great feature I was really waiting for this.

Azonic August 16th, 2009 9:04 AM

Go me. It took me five days to realize that this feature was here. D:

But awesome, though. I'll be using this.

Guy August 16th, 2009 9:41 AM

Wow, when wolFLARE told me about this new feature I thought he was discussing something else, but like Cherri it actually took me a few days to realize this was here. At the moment I'm just testing it out to see how it works, but I don't know if I'll be one who uses it much.

A nice feature nonetheless though as it definitely makes it easier for many members who like to have different font style, size, and color.

Caelus August 16th, 2009 9:56 AM

I too didn't know about this feature until now. D:

Well anyway cool feature. A lot of the fonts here aren't readable on my current theme, but I'll probably change my theme. Thanks.
