Pallet Town
Azibo fell asleep after his house burnt down due to Team Rockets villainy. He was a calm, usually unfazed boy, but he was very worried. Team Rocket had been at this for a while. They were initiating their most powerful plan ever. The plan was called Project Victory. Project Victory was an old machine that captures Pokemon from people. Gym Leaders were vulnerable. The Elite 4 was untouched, but they were too afraid to face the nasty foes.

Azibo wished that someone could do something. His life was in chaos. His parents had a fight and the father was killed by the mother. Mercy Rahotep, the mother of Azibo, had betrayed Azibo and went to Team Aqua to join them in their new reign of terror. Azibo's night, needles to say, was filled with nightmares...

"Wake up, Rahotep!" said a voice. Azibo woke with a jolt and noticed a huge brown figure standing in front of him.

"Ooooh....my....gosh... Who the heck are you and what are you doing here?" asked a frightened Azibo.

" I am Regirock, king of the earth. I have come all of the way from Desert Ruins in Hoenn to give you a message," answered Regirock.

"What's the message? The world is in chaos? Thanks, everyone knows that. Everyone except Teams Rocket, Aqua, and Galactic. They don't seem to think of this chaos they've caused," replied an unimpressed Azibo.

"That is not the message I was supposed to give you, boy," said Regirock as he body slammed Azibo right to the ground. Azibo was stunned and passed out for a while...

When Azibo awoke, Regirock was still there. He apologized about the body slam. Azibo still felt the pain, but accepted the apology nevertheless. "What was it that you wanted to tell me?," Azibo faintly asked Regirock. Azibo was still recovering from the body slam from earlier.

"I would like to tell you that you are one who is part of a prophecy. This prophecy states that you and some other people are going to save the world from Team Rocket. You are the newest generation. You are still invulnerable to Project Victory. You have something really special," replied Regirock.

Azibo got really emotional and started to cry. " I cant believe this... I am a special boy... That is the most wonderful thing anyone has ever said to me...," Azibo said between a flood of tears of joy. Then Azibo got serious. " I'm going to save the world? I'm fifteen years old, with no Pokemon," challenged Azibo.

Regirock replied, "That is not a problem. I have a Beldum who has been following me around all of the time." That is when Azibo first noticed the timid little Beldum, who quickly went back under the protection of Regirock. Regirock talked to the Beldum for a little. Beldum agreed to go with Azibo on her journey. Regirock then flew back to the ruins in which he lived.

Route 1
Route 1 was much different than it was in the past. It was not your typical beginners route. It was slightly foggy and had a dark feel to it. That was weird, since Azibo ventured out to the path in the morning. The route had fewer wild Pokemon to it than it did in former Kanto. It did still have many Pidgey and Rattata.

While walking, Azibo saw three Rattata that peeked out from the shrubs. Azibo was confronted by an energetic Pidgey. The Pidgey landed 30 feet away from Azibo. The Pidgey definitely wanted to battle. "This is my opportunity! I must catch a Pokemon! I must make this world proud!" Azibo thought. "All right, Pidgey, if it is a battle you want, it is a battle you'll get!"

"Piddddd...gey!" grunted the Pidgey.

"Lets go, Beldum!" commanded Azibo.

The timid Beldum grunted, "Bel?" (translates to "Where am I? Can I trust my trainer?")

Azibo said, "Beldum, Take Down!" Beldum rammed into the Pidgey, who got knocked down upon the ground. Beldum felt a slight pain from the attack. While Beldum suffered, Pidgey got back up. Pidgey tackled Beldum. Beldum tried to dodge, but could not in time."Use Take down again!" commanded Azibo. Beldum launched the attack. Both Pokemon landed on the ground. To prevent Beldum from getting into any more pain, Azibo called him back. He had a Pokeball on him. "Go, Pokeball!" commanded Azibo. The Pokeball shaked and...

Yes! The Pidgey was caught. "I caught a Pokemon!" Azibo yelled into the air. The yell was loud and happy enough to attract two Team Rocket Grunts, one male, in the usual grunt uniform, and one female, in a special blue uniform.

"I am Brent," said the male Grunt.

"My name is Azula," said the female.

"We grunts have come here. From our base, we heard someone outside before they were allowed," said Brent.

"And it appears that we found the culprit," said Azula. The two grunts exchanged high-fives.

"Oh! I totally forgot about curfew! I'm so sorry!" apologized Azibo.

"Apologies don't cut it, kid. You are going to pay the price for going out before we allow you to," threatened Brent.

"We must battle!" said Azula.

Azula: Seel

Brent: Geodude

"I'll go first," said Brent. " Go, Geodude!"

Azibo summoned his Beldum out of his ball. Azibo was excited. This was his first battle on his way to saving the world. "Beldum, use Take Down!" Azibo commanded. Beldum launched at Geodude.

"Geodude, use Tackle," commanded Brent. Both Pokemon launched forward toward each other. Both trainers knew that this would not end well. "Geodude, Protect!" commanded Brent. Geodude did not protect in time, so Take Down hit him. Geodude was knocked right to the ground, but pushed up. " Haha, kid, you can't faint us!" said an overconfident Brent.

"Oh, yeah? The prophecy says that I am a legend, and that I will be a hero," said Azibo.

"Not if I have anything to say about this! Geodude, Rock Blast!" commanded Brent.

"Dodge it, Beldum!" commanded Azibo. Beldum dodged the first two blast, but got hit by the third. Beldum got knocked down.

"Bel..." said the Beldum in a very faint voice.

"Come on, Beldum! You can do this! Discover an inner source of power! You can win!" encouraged Azibo. Beldum got up gradually and continued to fight.

"Haha, kid. Just because your Beldum got back up once doesn't mean he'll be able to do it again!" laughed Brent triumphantly. "Tackle attack!" commanded Brent. The attack was launched quickly at Beldum.

Beldum tried to dodge it, but got hit. Beldum got up. "Beldum, nice recovery! Take Down at full power!"

Brent thought quickly and decided to try a counter attack. "Geodude, SelfDestruct!"

Beldum hit Geodude just before Selfdestruct was initiated. Geodude was knocked down, and he was knocked down hard. He was struggling to get up and fainted.

"How did that kid beat me?" inquired Brent in his mind. Out loud, Brent said, "My teammate Azula is a Team Rocket Commander. That is why she is wearing a blue uniform. You will have lots of trouble against her."

"Legend or not, Team Rocket is way stronger than you and will defeat you!" said Azula. "Go Seel," commanded Azula.

"Seeeeeel!" Seel said.

"Beldum, use Take Down!" commanded Azibo

"Use Surf, Seel," commanded Azula

"Dodge the attack, Beldum," commanded Azibo. Before beldum could move out of the way, the wave crashed down upon Beldum, who, after the attack, had fainted. Azibo called Beldum back. He was extremely livid at Team Rocket.

"Give up now, kid! You'll never defeat Team Rocket!" said Azula.

"I... am... a... legend!" yelled Azibo. "I will defeat you! Go, Pidgey," screamed Azibo. "Pidddd...gey!" yelled Pidgey.

"Hmhmhm. Pidgey... Is that all you've got?" questioned Azula. "This job has become a whole lot easier. Ice Beam, Seel."

"Pidgey, dodge it and use Gust!"

Pidgey kept dodging the beams. He countered one using Gust and hit Seel with his own attack and the gust. After the cloud around Seel disappeared, they could tell he was fainted. "WHAT?! How is this possible?!" yelled a perplexed Azula. "We will meet again, kid, we will meet again...

OOC: Viridian City through Pewter will be on my next post, which I don't have time to post right now, because I need to get off the computer in a couple of minutes...

Though weakened, the Mankey was not yet out of the fight, much to Keretsu’s amusement and irritation. He was impressed with the durability of the fighting pokemon, considering it had taken a rather nasty scratch across the fact and had endured quite a bit of poison damage thus far, and was still ready to keep swinging. Yet the young man was ready to move on, and as the current enemy was still undefeated, he couldn’t very well leave.

As it was already poisoned, he knew that further attempts would only result in failure, and so he frowned, knowing that his rather young Stunky had a limited repertoire of attacks. “Use those claws again. Scratch,” he commanded, his eyes narrowing. He wanted the skunk to get used to using its claws, to toughen them up for using the advanced version of scratch: Slash. And from there, Night Slash.

The poison gas attack, while primitive, was working to be quite effective as both a method of poison, and as a way to reduce the visibility of Stunky, making it easier for him to avoid attacks, as the concentration of gas was quite thick around him. This was shown to be true as the skunk dodged out of the way of one of the Mankey’s attacks, and countered with the ordered scratching attack.

The Mankey let out a cry of pain as the noxious vapors flowed against the fresh cuts, turning the bloodied wounds a shade of grey. Keretsu found that interesting, as the close proximity to the concentrated gasses seemed to have an adverse effect upon the wound itself. He didn’t think such a thing was possible, but the poison was almost a liquid, the concentration was so thick. It would be akin to simply pouring poison onto the wound, which seemed to be the effect it was having.

Stumbling backward, the pig-faced pokemon let out a few wracking coughs, its eyes unfocused. Keretsu’s eyes widened, here, and he tightened his grip upon the pokeball that was in his pocket. “Once more, Stunky. Scratch.” The blow, he felt, wouldn’t be enough to put the creature down, as it had showed remarkable tenacity thus far. It could, if the skunk hit a particularly vital point, but given the fact that Stunky hadn’t yet, it seemed unlikely.

Letting out a growl of ferocity, the small skunk leapt forward again, its claws raking against the Mankey’s already damaged body. The fighting pokemon stumbled back, its eyes in a dazed state as it forced itself to keep standing. Keretsu chose this time to remove the pokeball from his pocket, pressing the central button to enlarge it. Taking up a baseball pitcher stance, he took a step forward, hurling the ball.

His aim was true, and it struck the Mankey full in the face. The sphere opened, and the fighting pokemon turned to the red energy before it was absorbed inside by the pokeball. It hit the ground, releasing a hollow noise before it shook once, slightly. The second movement was even less noticeable, and the third was almost imperceptible, had not Keretsu been watching it as intensely as he had been.

The light in the center of the sphere flashed, signaling that it had been captured. Without a word of congratulations, Keretsu returned the skunk pokemon before wandering over to the newly captured Mankey and picked up the sphere. It looked just as the other did, and he let out a slight shrug before affixing it to his belt, to the right of his Stunky. Turning from the grass, he felt that perhaps for now, discretion would be the greater part of valor.

“It won’t be long before the Elite Four fall to Rocket. When that time comes, I hope to be at the front of the invasion.” The words were barely a whisper, but they brought a cruel smile to Keretsu’s face before he wandered back to Viridian, planning to get a quick heal from the Rocket HQ before he moved toward Pewter.

Viridian City- 10:00 AM
After venturing through Route 1, Azibo ended up in Viridian City. Luckily, it was stil standing, unlike the rest of Kanto. Azibo was very happy to see the beautiful city. He had a nice feeling inside him. He knew that there was a peace amidst the chaos. He walked to the Pokemon Center to get his Pokemon healed.

Viridian City-10:30
Nurse Joy gave Azibo his Pokemon back in great condition. Azibo stepped outside the Pokemon center and saw Regirock standing outside. "What are you doing here, Regirock?" asked Azibo.

"I have come to check your progress," said Regirock.

"I captured a Pidgey, I beat a Team Rocket Grunt and Commander, and I am at Viridian City," answered Azibo.

"That's all you did?! You could've done better!" yelled Regirock. Regirock Body Slammed Azibo to the ground.

Viridian City-9:00 PM
Azibo awoke from the body slam. Regirock wasn't there. Azibo found himself in a local home, in a bed. He continued to sleep. He would set out for Viridian Forest tomorrow.

Viridian City- 9:00 AM
Waking up from the comfort of a bed, Azibo went downstairs for breakfast. The downstairs of the house was mostly purple, with black. strips going vertically down at a small interval. The carpet was dark green, with the ceiling a beautiful sky blue. Much to his surprise, Azibo met the Zen Master that comforted him back before Project Victory began. Azibo was overjoyed to see him. The two ate breakfast together.

"How did I end up here?" started Azibo, who doesn't usually strike up a conversation, but wanted to know how he got to the house.

"I saw you lying on the ground, unconsious. I was really worried. I went to a Pokemon Center and tried to heal you there, but Nurse Joy was too busy to take us in. Then, I realized the best thing for you would be to rest at my home, so I brought you here," replied Crest.

There was a silence for a few minutes. Azibo finished breakfast and cleaned his mess. Crest gave some Pokeballs to Azibo and some Potions. "Thank you, Crest," Azibo gratified.

"No problem," said Crest. "I'm giving these to you because you are a friend. Also, I'm not a trainer anymore, so I'm giving away all of my stuff, besides my Pokemon, which I love to hang out with. Good luck on your journey in Viridian Forest!"

"Thank you," said Azibo.

I'll finish tomorrow morning.

Aura awoke, yawning as she walked out of the guestroom. Ash had already left the room and Sparkle wasn't at her side like she normally was. She looked around the lab worriedly. Suddenly she heard voices coming from down the hall. She walked down them, peering around the corner of a room. Inside the room she could see it looked like a kitchen. Sparkle was seated on the floor staring up at Ash. Now that the room was lite with the average light and sunlight, Aura could get a better look at him. He was about her age, and he looked the exact way Misty had described to him.

"Try this out Sparkle," Ash said placing some food in a bowl near the Pichu. "Pikachu use to love eating this."

Sparkle sniffed at the food, glancing up once at Ash. She took a bite of the food, then smiled with delight. She then began to stuff her face.

Ash chuckled and smiled. "Eat up Sparkle," he said. "We have a big day for our journey and you're gonna need all your strenght."

Our? But I didn't say anything about him joining me...but he could teach me more things I don't know. Aura cleared her throat and stepped out of hiding.

"Sparkle hardly opens up this fast to anyone," she commented. "Unless she sees that I trust them well."

Ash looked up at her surprise. "You scared me there for a second." He turned back to the Pokemon. "She just reminds me of my Pikachu with the whole no Pokeball thing. Something must be special about her with the whole blue cheeks thing."

"I don't think so...she seems like she's an average Pokemon."

"I've met a Pikachu with blue eyes before. It could predict waves in the ocean....anyway, are you ready to leave?"

Aura blinked. "So are you traveling with me?"

"Only if you want me to. I mean, I don't do anything in Pallet nowadays. It could be fun traveling with a friend of Misty's."

Aura couldn't resist but to give him a small smile. Sparkle quickly finished her food and leaped to her trainer's shoulder. They all said their goodbyes to the Professor and Cynthia then headed towards Viridian City. While they traveled Ash quickly explained to Aura about his first travel through the area and how he met Misty. Aura had heard the story, but only from Misty's perspective so it was fun to hear it another way. Then he told her why hardly any Pokemon could be found in the area now. She felt sad that she wouldn't be able to catch any Pokemon on this route. By noon, they had reached their first destination.

"Wow and I thought Pallet Town was quiet," Aura whispered.

"Pichu..." Sparkle agreed. <I know...>

"Its not so bad," Ash sighed.

The two began to walk the streets of the town, glancing ever so often at a passing person. Aura noticed the Gym that sat off in the distance. Suicune wanted her to help defeat Team Rocket, so she wondered if she should possibly go there too.

"What about the Viridian Gym?" Aura questioned. "I am on a journey after all..."

"The Gym?" Ash echoed. "No, you're not ready for that."

"Why not?!"

"You only have one Pokemon. I didn't battle that gym until it was my last and I don't think you're ready. How much trust is built between you and Sparkle?"

"There's lots!"

"Do you know any of her moves?"

Aura bit her bottom lip. She didn't have a clue on what moves that Sparkle had, only that she seemed to hold her ground well with Electric attacks unlike any other Pichu. She quickly looked away, annoyed. She heard Ash let out a chuckle and pat the top of her head. Looking out the corner of her eye, she saw him continuing to walk. Aura thought about holding her ground, but Sparkle jumped off her shoulder to follow him. Letting out a sigh, she followed.

"Where are we going?" she demanded.

"To the Viridian Forest," he replied calmly. "There you can catch you more Pokemon and train with Sparkle."

"You think you know everything, don't you?"

Ash winked. "We all start out naive."

They continued walking towards the forest when they came to a small field. It seemed as if it had been frozen in time and Pokemon still inhabited the area. The grass swayed in different places making Aura wonder what exactly to do. She had never knew a field exist anywhere like this before. She turned to Ash who smiled.

"Now," Ash began. "Take out your Pokedex and scan Sparkle."

"Ok..." Aura whispered pulling out her Pink Pokedex. It flipped open showing her a Pichu on the screen.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/0/07/Spr_4p_172.png
Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokemon. It is unskilled at storing electric power. Any kind of shock causes it to discharge energy spontaneously.

"Ok...but that doesn't help me at all."

He didn't say a word except push a button on the Pokedex. The blue light on the machine began to blink and the device came to life.

Your Pichu knows the following moves, Thundershock, Charm, Tail Whip, and Volt Tackle.

"Volt Tackle?" Aura echoed. "What is that?"

"Pikachu's signature move," Ash replied. "But I never thought a Pichu could learn it..." His eyes trailed to Sparkle's cheeks again, but shook his head. "This shows she has a good move set already, but she could work on more of course. Now Sparkle, let's see you try Volt Tackle out as its your most powerful attack."

"Pichu," Sparkle said nodding. <Ok!>

The Pichu landed on the ground with her four paws. Sparkle began to run forward, sparks began to fly from her cheeks; electricity suddenly engulfed her and she glowed a bright yellow. She ran a couple of feet, stopping to look back at the two trainers.

"Great job," Ash said clapping his hands.

A branch above their heads suddenly swished above them. A brown bird Pokemon flew to the ground and began to peck near its feet. It looked up at Sparkle.

"What is that?" Aura questioned.

"A Pidgey....use Dexter."

She gave Ash a confused look who nodded towards her PokeDex.

Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokemon. A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand.

"Cool...I want to catch it!"

"Go for it."

"Sparkle use Thundershock!"

"Pichu!" Sparkle yelled to the Pokemon, sparks already flying from her cheeks. This caught the Pokemon's attention making it eye her with suspicion. At once Sparkle zapped the bird Pokemon and it took the attack, shaking it away as it was stunned. The Pidgey turned and began to flap its wings, kicking up dust into their faces. Ash quickly shield his eyes and slowly backed away. Aura followed suit, watching Sparkle beginning to close her eyes against the sand.

"Sparkle!" Aura called. "If you hear me, use Volt Tackle!"

"Pi...Pichu! Pipipipipipipipipiiiiiiichu!"

Sparkle's attacked landed as she ran straight through the hurdling sand. The Pidgey was struck back, landing daze on the ground. Suddenly the wind stirred, blowing Aura's hair in her face.

Now...capture it.

Suicune! Aura took a deep breath, pulling out one of her pokeballs. "Pokeball!" she yelled. "Go!"

She threw the white and red ball and it opened, a red light emitted from it. It surrounded the Pidgey and closed. Aura, Ash, and Sparkle watched in silence as the ball began to rock back and forth. Aura knew she'd have to wait for it to go atleast three times before her capture was complete. It felt as if the whole forest was holding its breath as the ball tittered back and forth, finally stopping and its center button glowed. Aura smiled, turning to Ash who was clapping in congrats. She picked up her newly capture.

"I caught me, a Pidgey!"

"Pichu!" <We did it!>
