Happy first day of Hell (:

Well, here's to the summer of 2009, ay guys? I sapped it for every minute it was worth.

So to create a topic:
What are you looking forward to most this school year?
AP US History (shut up, it's a easy class) and Drama club :D

What was the highlight of you summer?
Horse camp and my random adventures with the police haha.

Hbu?

Graceful September 8th, 2009 2:42 AM

Looking forward to: Applying to go study in America. <3 I really want to go to college overseas, so hopefully my parents'll support me in that. Oh, and the London Expo in October. (I don't go to school at the moment, so what? XD)

Highlight: Going cosplaying and making new friends, both IRL and online. :P

Azonic September 8th, 2009 3:13 AM

I'm only enjoying school because I get time with my friends. xD That's pretty much it for looking forward to anything school-related.

The highlight of my summer... I went to Disney! 8D Islands of Adventure was just awesome. <333 And and and... I got the swine flu; yeah omg that was soooo fun.

Spinor September 8th, 2009 3:30 AM

Meh Pretty much all my summer was time on my PC

I've already started school and I look forward to my B days since I am in a rotation schedule (Pre-Engineering, Algebra II, Band, Sciene)

But A Days (English I, US History, PE, Science) are UGH!!!

Ho-Oh September 8th, 2009 3:35 AM

This thread is bias towards Australians.

Since all types of education including exams is over in about two months, I'll be looking forward to it finishing so I can return to MSN.

The highlight of summer hasn't occured yet because winter just finished.

Miss Soupy September 8th, 2009 4:27 AM

I ... actually started school two weeks ago. The first few days were easy, but by the end of the first week I had several projects to attend to during the weekend.

What are you looking forward to most this school year?
My electives are pretty fun so far. My Media class is going to collaborate with Drama for the school play in spring, so that should be fun.

Oh, and Art is also giving us the opportunity to travel to Spain for some days in summer, so I hope my parents support that.

What was the highlight of you summer?
Meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in years. <3

MrSasquatch September 8th, 2009 5:32 AM

I stopped going to school to try and pursue something that will actually have meaning instead of ending up going into an office every day till I'm 60. It's awesome.

I'm sooooo0o0o0o0 happy that this is my last year of High School =DDDDDDDDDDDD
I won't have to take so many classes since it's good to take all of your classes in your first three years. Now I only have to take 3 classes this semester and 2 next semester but I'm taking Band for both semesters to help my teacher out. No highlight for this summer

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone :/.

Well, I just got back from my first (half) day. It pretty much sucked lol.

Jweeson September 8th, 2009 4:49 PM

Looking forward to:
Band. (Totally awesome teacher)
College Psych.

Summer Highlight:
Going and playing tennis.

And since today was my first day of school, I can tell you that this will be a pretty mild year.

Although, I did really like what I wore today: A Michael Jackson t-shirt and a red Green Day hoodie. (They matched because the MJ shirt I wore was the one with him as a zombie in the red jacket he wore for the Thriller video.)

Tomorrow: Yellow Gir shirt with a matching Paramore hoodie, plus my light blue pants with the light blue high top shoes I got. ^^

This year, I'm looking forward to being on the bowling team for the school again. I've improved a lot over the summer, and this year I actually have a chance of getting on the varsity team, so...

The highlight of my summer was just being/talking with friends and traveling to a few places for vacation and to visit family members I don't get to see often. =)

Charizard★ September 8th, 2009 5:13 PM

i remember the summer lol, my school started 4 weeks ago lol

twocows September 8th, 2009 5:18 PM

How dare you. Summer marks the end of hell. The end of the hot, sweltering weather, the end of mosquito bites and spider bites and running away from those obnoxious bees, the end of being in constant discomfort and having to take an extra shower or two every day or risk bathing in your own stink (three per day is too much, I mean I've got stuff to do). What do I look forward to, you ask? I say this: I look forward to the end of this hellish season and the renewal of spirits that is the coming of winter, friend! My good buddy Olaf knows what I'm talking about.

Oh, and I have a relatively easy semester. No courses on Tuesday or Thursday, 90% courses related to my major, and enough time to actually do stuff outside of busywork (something I didn't have in my freshman year).

Also: AP US History, easy? I lol'd. Hardest class I took in high school besides AP Chemistry (and maybe AP English), and I took four other AP classes (chemistry takes the cake because I dropped it twice after realizing twice just how much work it really was). I got a 2 on the test, thus negating the reason for taking the class (though I did get an A in the class itself).

Shem September 8th, 2009 7:19 PM

Well, I'm looking forward to small game hunting season opening on the 19th. Other than that, waiting for next summer.

As for summer highlights, the best time i had all summer is when we road tripped for nachos... Ate 14 pounds of nachos in 13 minutes...

Usagi-Chan~ September 9th, 2009 6:51 PM

Looking Forward to-
Nothing -_-
Summer Highlights-
Canoeing down the Swanee River
HGSS Being Announced
Boy Scout Summer Camp

WAT? WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT? o3o; that AP Test is hard. Like, at least in Iowa, it's considered one of the hardest AP Tests PERIOD. It's the only AP class that wasn't required to come back to school after the test. It eats souls. Perhaps it also eats puppies? We're not entirely sure. We know for a fact tho that it did break people down as far as studying went and the essays are just a hoot. :P SO PREPARE YOURSELF.

What are you looking forward to most this school year?

Women's Chorus and the non Audition Concert band next semester. I currently sing like a man. [Alto 2's, REPRESENT] I also play percussion. But I hate snare. Snares can die. So can anything I have to beat with sticks that's not a Timpani or keyboard. Meaning I hate all drums.

What was the highlight of your summer?

Probably the hour and a half that me and my mamas and my dog were all online. I HAVE SCREENIES. It's happened maybe three times before? And it means alot to me because they're my bffs [aephascar] and it was just like ASDFKJKLFDASNFDSALKJFS *SQUEE* です Meeting Beachy is up there too.

Ugh
My Summer was crap. I basically sat on my ass the whole day. Ughhh on some days I crashed at my friends places, but most of the time I just kind of went over there and their family are always saying things like, "Doesn't she have her own house?" and other crap I don't need.
So I don't like going to their houses much, haha.

In the beginning, there were tons of parties, but there was nothing special about them. At one I actually met this freaky older dude who was like in love with me. He emails me everyday now, it's f*cking freaky.
Sooo I'm not going to any parties with nutjobs attending.

The only thing I'm excited about in school is art class. :\
I go to an all girls school, it really sucks. I need to see some boys soon, or I'll go mental. D<

EDIT
gross censorship
I hate censorship we should be allowed to say whatever the f*ck we want to say. :I

Angela September 11th, 2009 5:27 AM

I'm not really looking forward to any classes.. Seeing I've been in school for 2 weeks and they are all boring... Tho I was sick this week... So that's 3 weeks.. Well I think the highlight of my summer was my summer cabin trip.. :D

♣Gawain♣ September 11th, 2009 5:42 AM

Mainly good grades and good friends. Then I'll be contented.

Pokémon Ranger ✩ Moriarty September 11th, 2009 9:49 AM

I'm not back at uni for another two weeks but I can hardly wait. We have a Wednesday class called Stages of Drama which is basically the best thing ever in terms of classmates (there's ten of us in total and we all get along great :3) and the actual content (it's a three-year module which covers theatre from Ancient Greece → Post-Modernism, and has taught me so much more than all of my other classes put together). Although I'm also a little sad as this is my third and final year, and then I have to go out into the big scary world of begging for a full-time job with only a BA in Lit to aid me. -.-

mondays suck September 12th, 2009 5:36 AM

my school year already began more than a month ago, but why shouldnt i post here?

What are you looking forward to most this school year?
the end. this year is going to be really hard, i even have to do some homework at home this year, the last year i always managed to do all of them them when i had a free hour at school xD

What was the highlight of you summer?
my summer completely sucked, everyone else was on vacations and i was at home for all the 6 weeks, there wasnt much else to do than playing computer. i was so happy when it was over, even though this meant i have to go to school again

emoBill™ September 12th, 2009 9:58 AM

What are you looking forward to most this school year?
Chorus and Praise Band (I'm the singer). I adore those two classes. Oh, and humping poles in study hall is pretty fun, too.

What was the highlight of you summer?
Hmm...I don't really know. Getting accused of giving a baby a black eye was quite interesting. I wouldn't necessarily call it a highlight, though, since my sister and I quit our jobs babysitting for that family. We weren't going to stay around to get accused of even more stuff.

Banjora Marxvile September 12th, 2009 1:15 PM

What are you looking forward to most this school year?

Well, my final year in my current school. Finishing the GCSE's will be a HUGE relief...

What was the highlight of you summer?

Err... Nothing. I had a boring Summer.
