wow! cool! good job, keep it up!

Ellie September 11th, 2009 5:19 AM

This is really cool, thanks! But are all of them level-up moves (that you can take any Pokemon of that species into HgSs and it will be able to learn it), or are some special moves that the Pokemon has right off the bat and only that particular one can learn it? Cause I seem to remember the DPPt trio having exclusive moves that only those particular level 1 Pokemon can learn, but I could have been wrong.

It was found out those "Special Moves" for the Dragon Trio were merely new Level-Up Moves :/

Greene1516 September 11th, 2009 5:38 AM

I saw these on Serebii yesterday and I gotta tell 'ya, there are some awesome new possibilities opening up in these games. I drool at the thought of Blastoise carryng Water Spout or a DD'ing Crawdaunt. There are going to be some major shifts in the tiers after this release.

Ah, I see. Well that's a little less exciting, but still cool, I suppose.

A lot of those moves are kind of boring (as there usually are in tutors), but Heal Bell, Super Fang, and Pain Split are pretty cool. I wonder if any tier changes will come out of the tutors.

Mitchman September 11th, 2009 6:07 AM

Dragon Rush Lugia. Damn that's an intresting thought...

thelaytonmobile September 11th, 2009 6:54 AM

Now it gets even harder to decide what to put on Mew! I'm not that sure of the details but Block could be interesting actually.

Brave Bird Murkrow<3333

Ellie September 11th, 2009 1:39 PM

That's a weird list of Pokemon lol. Whirlpool Sentret? But then again there were some weird ones in the original, so ehhh. I doubt Whirlpool is a tier-breaking move anyway.

Game Over1375 September 11th, 2009 1:44 PM

How about a Head Smashing Aggron. This is definately bringing soem new changes to the tier system.

Xebelleon September 11th, 2009 2:05 PM

I already hate the Move Tutor changes. Especially Magic Coat. Inglourious Basterds.

That list was of the Pokemon the HM was compatable with.

Smeargle can't Learn TMs, HMs, or Tutor Moves. It can only get more moves via Sketch.

encas September 12th, 2009 7:02 AM

Am I the only one happy here about the new Agility Pokemon (Paras and Dunsparce)? God knows they needed it, especially Paras.

Also, I like Stantler with Megahorn, Kecleon with Recover (yaaay, instant recovery!) and Barboach with Dragon Dance. I wonder how the tiers will be affected here, espeically with Recover Kecleon. :D

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ September 12th, 2009 7:29 AM

All I can say is I would've never known that Growlithe can learn Morning Sun that's actually pretty cool.

New Movesets/Egg Moves to change competitive battling?

I guess this is just a mere theory but how do you guys react to the fact that some Pokemon in HG/SS have different movesets to D/P/Pt - the games they'll probably be connecting to to battle. No you think it's fair, unfair or nothing's really changed at all?

bobandbill September 12th, 2009 8:39 AM

Merged this question here as it does heavily relete to the moveset changes and all.

Melodyfree September 12th, 2009 9:33 AM

Nasty Plot Mismagius = in-game beast, etc.
The lack of Flare Blitz Flareon makes me sad though. ;-;

Well, I'm sure we were all probably expecting move changes since that happens with every new game. I don't think it's unfair since the games can trade with each other, so you can give DPPt Pokemon HgSs moves and the other way around. It's just a matter of having the games or having someone willing to teach your Pokemon the move.
