Are the DS games worth it?

I'm wondering if the DS versions are actually worth buying. I haven't played a pokemon game since blue on gameboy color.

Steve Z September 13th, 2009 9:26 PM

You better believe it! Battling and trading with friends all over the world, All the new Pokemon. It's worth it.

loucas September 13th, 2009 9:34 PM

yes thats one, and playing anywhere is cool, not that i played outside of home ofcourse.

DestinyBender September 13th, 2009 9:35 PM

Yes, they are worth buying. Does anyone remember the Poffin Making? I find that fun. :3

Oh, and the better graphics, Pokémons, storyline etc.

Try it out for yourself. You'll like it, whether it's Pearl, Diamond or Platinum.

Um, you've missed a LOT is all I can say.

Demigod September 13th, 2009 9:59 PM

Just the Online fact would be enough for someone to buy it, and you didn't played pokemon since blue so omg YES.

Pachireecko September 14th, 2009 8:17 AM

Of course they are! You should really buy one. I recommend platinum.

xXI JOE IXx September 14th, 2009 8:18 AM

Hell yeah you should. Get Platinum and Soul Silver when it comes out. They are awesome :D:D

Zetlian2-kinra September 14th, 2009 8:24 AM

DON'T get platinum if you have wifi.
Platinum takes half the fun away because you don't need to trade.

Pokémon Ranger ✩ Moriarty September 14th, 2009 9:37 AM

I would recommend Platinum because it is slightly more complete than Pearl/Diamond. I love my Diamond, but there's something about Platinum that's just...perfect. Anyway, for specific reasons...the graphics are incredible (graphics don't really bother me all that much unless they're absolutely awful, but these graphics are pretty...), the storyline is awesome, your rival is, er, a bit like Marmite (you either love him or want to stab him to death with a fork - I'm in the former category :P) and there's still plenty to do when the game is actually finished. Plus making Poffins is fun and makes you feel like you're actually interacting with your Pokémon. :3

And if you love it (which you will) then you'll be all ready for HeartGold and SoulSilver in Spring ;)!

Zetlian2-kinra September 14th, 2009 9:43 AM

there is NO difference apart from the arch in flaorama town.

Pokémon Ranger ✩ Moriarty September 14th, 2009 9:48 AM

Umm, there are a few more differences than that. .__.;

Amore September 14th, 2009 10:16 AM

Lol. yeah, i'd advise getting Platinum, even though i prefer Diamond's simplicity.

Why??

More stuff to do after E4
Giratina Origin Forme
Better wi-fi room (Diamond one is naff)

and quite a lot more....

DarkPikaMan September 14th, 2009 12:56 PM

Yes they are worth buying but play emerald first its better in everyway.

professor plum September 14th, 2009 6:29 PM

Definitely worth it.
Go for it.
:)

Get Platinum, or wait for HG/SS to come out in the US [which will be some time in Spring 2010]
