That would be totally awesome =3

I wish I still had my GBA games ~ :(

Ru-Kun September 18th, 2009 4:57 PM

Oh I didn't even know HGSS had a Palpark. I can't wait to get my SS in a few days. Thanks for the discovery!

Samme! September 18th, 2009 5:04 PM

That's awesome that you found that out Hiroshi :>

I'm guessing that the HM non-capability is still in the works?

Yeah. Your flying/surfing Pikachu is still useless. :(

D: That stinks. I really don't get why a pokemon knowing an HM can't be transferred. And it also stinks that it is the same as DPPt

Guy September 18th, 2009 5:13 PM

Having no restriction only makes migration a lot easier now. Before, those with at least two GameBoy Advance handhelds would trade their Pokémon from one cartridge to the next just to get all or almost all their migrations complete within one day. However, with the rules being uplifted from before, then I assume many of those who will still utilize the Pal Park in HGSS will enjoy it more.

As for Pokémon with HMs, I guess we still have to take our visit to the Move Deleter within Kanto and/or Hoenn.

bobandbill September 18th, 2009 5:21 PM

Oh, neat info here - no time restrictions! Although the HM thing is a bit of a bummer, but oh well (one reason probably is that it's to stop you trading away your HM Pokemon so you can't get stuck and all, I guess... kinda necessary but oh well).

They're in your PC. You aren't going to get stuck and you could just put them into Box or something or trade it away in the box anyway.

What if you were on, say, Pacifidlog Town and migrated your only surfing and flying Pokemon and never got a Rod/had no Pokeballs left? An extreme example, but might be a possible way to get stuck.

Not that it matters. Either way the restriction is still there apparently... oh well.

beauty. proletariat September 18th, 2009 5:42 PM

This is where hacking plays in :p

lol jks.

That's too farfetch'd

DestinyBender September 18th, 2009 5:51 PM

I can't wait for that feature! It looks better than Platinum, from what I've read in the HG/SS forums.

All I have to do is get a DS and buy a most probably $80 HG game!

About time. Finally, no restrictions for Pal Park! Sucks about the language-lock, but meh...

If they've allowed us to transfer more than 6 Pokémon per day from the same cartridge, isn't that damn awesome? :D (Why didn't they do this right with Platinum? Or better asked, why did they have this restriction to begin with?)

In case you were wondering, Pal Park is found in Fuchsia City and is exactly the same as it was in DPt. You still can't transfer Pokémon with HM moves, nor transfer the Pokémon back to the game cartridge. (By the way, don't bother trying with your English games. It's language-locked.)

i guess they did it because of DSi. it doesnt have a gba slot, so pokemon gamers would certainly be agitated about not being able to transfer pokemon + the fact that even a tranfer would require 24 hours. so kinda to make gamers happy. :D
but im not happy, coz i cant transfer then=m because of DSi. -_-

... ...Sometimes, I wish my Sapphire Version never broke, and I still had my Leaf Green version. ;[

Munch Dog September 19th, 2009 12:03 AM

Yaaaaay, no restrictions! They were so annoying in the d/p/pt. Though I won't be able to use it until the english versions come out since I only have english gba games. :<

Haza September 19th, 2009 1:24 AM

I would be really excited if I hadnt transfered my Pokemon over from all of my GBA games already.

ShinyMeganium September 19th, 2009 2:27 AM

And I thought there wouldn't be a Pal Park in HGSS. Shame at me. In the end they have Pal Park, and it's even better than Platinum's.

blue September 19th, 2009 3:04 AM

Wow, Thats Great! :D, I'm getting Soul Silver in a few days, Will I be able to Migrate an English Version Of Pokemon Emerald to It?

560cool. September 19th, 2009 5:25 AM

Oh.
I guess Ill stock up Pkballs at my S and FR . I miigrated almost all pokes to my Pt. ! :D
Anyways a blast . I always thougt in my Crystal ROM that id be able to geet in the SZ....
And yes , I know there is one in Cianwood . In HGSS I mean .

Ellie September 19th, 2009 8:10 AM

I'd still rather have HM moves available than unlimited Pal Parking, but I guess it's better than nothing. Poor Surfing Pichu and Flying Pikachu being useless :'(

Wait, how would it matter if HM moves were available to Surfing Pichu and Flying Pikachu again? I thought you get them in DPPt anyways or something...

Sydian September 19th, 2009 9:58 AM

Ugh, it's language locked? Oh well. I don't migrate too often anyway, and if I needed to, I could just migrate to either Platinum or Diamond and trade them to SS. I hope trading isn't language locked as well.

Ok well then how did you get to pacifidlog in the first place? You must have had a Pokemon that knows Fly/Surf to get there.

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ September 19th, 2009 10:40 AM

It's great that the Pal Park is allowing more Pokemon and that it returns to HG/SS, but I would of thought that Pkmn were able to be transfer with HM moves this time >:[

Taziko September 19th, 2009 10:45 AM

I'm glad to this news because one of the most annoying thing in Platinum was the Pal Park restrictions, as I'm sure most players would agree with me. Now that it's been removed (or extended), it gives me a lot more freedom to transfer instead of picking the ones I needed for the time as opposed to the ones I wanted.

If that is the last pokemon with an HM needed, you can try to release it but it won't leave. I tested this theory a long time ago.

Not as of yet. Only Surfing Pikachu is available, you can't have a Surfing Pichu, and until the Yellow Forest event comes out, there's no Flying Pikachu either, plus those ones aren't compatible with 3rd gen tutors. I know it doesn't matter that much since they're not competitively viable, but still... it bugs me :x
