Okay, by the way, can anyone tell me how to get sprites of Pokemon when they are in a party, the ones that everyone else uses for other people's partner pokemon in like every other thread?

First Topic: What is your favorite Real Prehistoric animal?

For myself, it is probably the archeaopteryx, because of the unique name, and it is a cool looking prehistoric bird.

Are you talking about the backsprites, like the one by your name on the introductory post? I found a whole page of D/P/P sprites through Google image, right here: http://veekun.com/files/sprites/montage-dp-back.png. The site listed also has a page of R/S/E backsprites. Just crop them and upload them to Tinypic, then put the picture wherever you need to on the thread, I'm assuming you know how to do that. :)

My favorite REAL prehistoric animal has to be the megalodon. Pure viciousness. There are so many interesting prehistoric animals though, it's hard for me to pick just one.

I've seen pictures of the archaeopteryx, it looks beautiful.

Yams October 5th, 2009 5:29 PM

No, I do not need backsprites, I used one momentarily, but if this gets bigger they will clutter, so I need Party Sprites of Pokemon.

I don't think this is what you're talking about, but here is an entire set of regular sprites: http://www.pokemontrash.com/images/1184620195.png
Pretty sure you got ^ that covered, but just in case.

If you go to each Pokemon's Bulbapedia page one by one, under "Side Game Data" there are smaller sprites of the Pokemon. For example, this image http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/33/Pin140.gif was under "Side Game Data" of Kabuto's page...if you wanted something bigger, there are various sprites all over the Pokemon's page...maybe you'll find what you're looking for.

This guy actually has provited tons of tiny sprites directly from the game: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?p=2884312 <--I really hope that's a legal link, sorry if it's not.

Also, I have to dog-sit for a friend for a couple days, starting tomorrow. I'll be returning sometime on Thursday.

Okay, I won't consider it against you.

I hope to see more people talking about the topic soon.

First Co-owner seat is still open, just gonna get that out there.

What is your favorite Real Prehistoric animal?

The dinosaur Aerodactyl is.

Spinosaurus October 5th, 2009 8:14 PM

What is your favorite Real Prehistoric animal?
Dinosaurs. (Especially the Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus)

EDIT: Oh yeah, the Megalodon too!

Oh yeah, I think that Charmander, Charmeleon, and the Bulbasaur line should be in too.

Poison Pokemon Rule October 6th, 2009 2:33 AM

im sorry i change my mind is it possible to change my partner to Tyranitar nicknamed Terror

Fire Wolf October 6th, 2009 2:59 AM

First Topic: What is your favorite Real Prehistoric animal?
For me, it's Spinosaurus and T-Rex

Yams October 6th, 2009 4:50 PM

Jazmine, accepted.

PPR, I changed it for you.

New Topic: What type of prehistoric animals should the next fossil pokemon be based on?

I think it would be cool to see a Velociraptor Pokemon, and an Ankylosaurus Pokemon. It's similar to Cranidos and Sheldon as one is more attack oriented, and the other is defense oriented, but a Velociraptor Pokemon would mostly be speed, and an Ankylosaurus Pokemon would be an even mix of Attack and Defense.

I would also like to see an Archaeopteryx pokemon, though I think that would be more a pre existing pokemon evolving while knowing Ancient Power, like Fearow maybe.

Anyone feel free to answer the previous topic if you haven't.

Charmeleon seems kinda prehistoric, but Charmander is just based off of a salamander, not very prehistoric. Also, the Bulbasaur line seems to be similar to giant frogs, are there any specific prehistoric creatures you think it is similar to?

Jazmine Marie October 6th, 2009 7:48 PM

Hmm, I think it would be cool to see a Pokemon based off a
Phororhacos! Click here for a picture!

Spinosaurus October 7th, 2009 12:48 AM

@Yams: As what bulbapedia says. The bulba line resembles either a frog, or a dinosaur. Though, the patches in their skins cause it to more closely resembles a dinosaur. And also, they have fangs.
What type of prehistoric animals should the next fossil pokemon be based on?
I'd like a Megalodon Pokemon, and a Carnotaurus pokemon.

Poison Pokemon Rule October 7th, 2009 4:57 AM

What type of prehistoric animals should the next fossil pokemon be based on?

Maybe a Dodo bird or something along the lines of that.

Fire Wolf October 7th, 2009 5:15 AM

Yams, it was Poison Pokemon Rule who wanted a partner change to Tyranitar named Terror. My Tyranitar is named Tyron and PPR doesn't have Feraligatr as his partner now lol.

Yams October 7th, 2009 1:46 PM

Oh, sorry I wasn't really paying attention :P

New first post, not too much different, just more organized; thanks to Jazmine Marie.
