Reck's Showcase of Tiles

Welcome to my brand new sprite showcase. Why a new showcase? Simply because the old one was getting cluttered. Also you will notice that this showcase only has my newest tileset(shown below). So only rate this tileset. If you have a

specific pokemon related tile you want let me know and i will work on adding it to my sheet. So for now rate my tiles that i have in this showcase. These tiles are as always public. I only ask two things. Tell me if you are using them and

give me credit.

I added a pokecenter... comments anyone?

Zadow October 5th, 2009 5:21 PM

I really like your house tiles, and what I think is your Pokecenter. Your Pokecenter's shape is great... Except :/ it doesn't look much like one (And I don't really like the orangey feel). Just my opinion, but aren't the Pokecenters meant to be instantly recognizable? :o Anywas, keep up the good work, okay? ^^

I agree with Zadow, but good work on all of them.

Thanks i worked on the pokecenter... look better? Also i added a tree and some grass

Your buildings look great, gotta love the 4th Gen style.
The PokeCenter isn't living up to its full potential due to that shade of gray--it needs to be a lot lighter, then it will be instantly recognizable as a PokeCenter (as Zadow said, it doesn't really jump out as one).

Wow, I haven't seen your tiles (because I was in other threads) and you've improved so greatly! I love the Gen 4 feel of it.

Keep up the good work~

Yeah ^^ It looks much better and much more like a Pokecenter now. :]
I like the tree and grass too. I'll be keeping an eye on your thread. ^^
Great work, I'd love to see more tiles and/or sprites, ^^ Keep up the fantastic work.

i added a pokemart and a gym. Any feedback?

@Curt 09
I tried to lighten it up a bit does it look better?

@.Fukari
Thank you.

@Zadow
Thanks

The colours of your gym and mart are perfect. ^^ The gym at first glance looks empty and bland with all the plain brown. But then I looked at it again, and it looks nice being simple like that. :] It's detailed but simple, I really like it. You should make a sign that says GYM to go with it :P Since it has no word GYM on it anywhere.
But With the mart, there's something wrong about it being so square and such a huge square view from above. :S
Don't get me wrong, all your tiles are really fantastic, but like i said before, it just looks a little too square to me :S
I want to help you make your tiles are perfect as they can be. ^^ Really awesome! So keep up the great work, okay? :]

Sorry for the long absence! I worked on the mart and added a lab rate please. Also could you look at my sig?

Hackrex October 31st, 2009 2:24 PM

I like the buildings, but the other tiles aren´t very good. I think you must took a other palette for gras and trees.

Zadow November 1st, 2009 12:12 AM

Hey. =] It's been a while since you posted. I was wondering where you went :P
I L-O-V-E The Lab, I'm not really sure why, but It's the most awesome lab tile I've ever seen. :O Everything is looking great. =] I wish there was something I could tell you I didn't like, but I like it all! Keep up the fantastic work. =]
(Investigates your siggy)

Maybe I should have posted on the other one more to keep it alive... oh well. The red and green ones at the top are my favourites and the blue one at the bottom is great too. You should do a larger version of that one :)

fireyboy345 November 4th, 2009 7:40 PM

Wow is all i have to say. Your first tiles were ok but they werent great and looking at these i can see you have progressed substantially. Your outlines are nearly perfect, your color choice is perfect, and there is a constant style in all of your buildings. Im impressed to say the least :)
