Not really feeling it, Roshi. I am still torn between your first idea and Skythur's.

SCV058 November 6th, 2009 7:09 AM

What if in addition to facing the commanders and executives in single battles, after a challenger defeats all the commanders, in order to challenge against the executives they must triumph in a double battle versus a sort of vice-executive, who building on Roshi's idea best complements the executives type.

On another note, when might the sig be done?

1) I am not entirely sure where you are going with that. Commanders choose whether to accept challenges in single or double fashion. I really dislike the idea of layering repeat battles with slightly altered rules. It seems monotonous and pointless. It also nearly abandons the facility system we are building upon.

2) Sometime today or tomorrow.

SCV058 November 6th, 2009 9:32 AM

Well, sorry to say I'm out of fresh ideas....someone will get it eventually I'll bet

Scientist Davis November 6th, 2009 9:40 AM

I really may use one of the earlier concepts. They were solid.

Just remaining open to suggestions.

LilacLust November 6th, 2009 10:41 AM

how about that the last executive knows the opponents previously used teams? and the opponent is limited to only using the pokemon he has used throughout the challenge. that way, the last executive may predict what they will use and strategize accordingly.

leingodf8 November 6th, 2009 11:09 AM

i dunno, on the discussion of this "final executive" thing, im just thinking why not let him make up a team of his own. Hes using arceus right, and since arceus can be ANY type, why not let him have a team of any type, and just stick the respective plate onto his arceus. The challenger wont know what type the final executive is using, and the final executive can change what type he is whenever he wants (i know itll be hard to get a whole buncha different teams of different types). Although this may end up in the final executive picking a type that a previous commander / executive has already used, i still think its a viable option, because really shouldnt the final boss be master of all?

There's truth in that statement, but it makes it so we have a type that is not covered by a trainer.

LilacLust November 6th, 2009 12:20 PM

Or he could use any of the types that the executives used, along with arceus. (like he could have 1 ghost, one psychic, 2 dragons and a dark and an arceus of one of those types)

Scientist Davis November 6th, 2009 12:49 PM

You guys are forgetting an important fact again.

17 types in pokemon. 12 Commanders and 5 Executives. If the final Executive just uses a random type, then that defeats this entire purpose.

LilacLust November 6th, 2009 12:52 PM

well then, what about the idea that the challenger has to use 6 of the pokemon he used in the entire challenging of team destiny?

and to make it harder, the head executive could be told all 24 pokemon that the challenger used in his entire challenging of team destiny, and the head executive could predict what the challenger may be using and strategise accordingly

Yes, I saw when you suggested that earlier.
I will also consider this one.

LilacLust November 6th, 2009 1:16 PM

so many things to consider... XD

The Roshi November 6th, 2009 2:37 PM

Why is this 17th spot being only considered as an exec spot? I know that's how it was originally planned, and I know that there are some battlers here that deserve the executive spot. But would it work out better if that last guy was a commander?

LilacLust November 6th, 2009 2:43 PM

no because then there would be a leftover commander... XD

SCV058 November 6th, 2009 2:45 PM

Lilac do you still have a Ditto?

LilacLust November 6th, 2009 2:47 PM

yes... :P if you want it, VMing would be better

I think you have forgoten to change my wanted banner to 4 victory :P

The Roshi November 6th, 2009 3:49 PM

Well, a leftover commander poses far less equality issues than a leftover executive.

XDLugia November 6th, 2009 4:27 PM

Polkop battled me and I won again.
Good luck next time, polkop.
