xxxLatiasxxx's art (it still sucks though)

Hi I'm xxxLatiasxxx this is just some of the art I did before viewing any of the art please read my FAQ please and thank you.

Q: Are you new to drawing?

A: Yes I'm new to drawing and I suck at it.

Q: Do you use tutorials to help you draw your art?

A: Yes I do use tutorials to help me draw my art.

Q: Do you have a DA account?

A: Yes I have a DA account but I'm not going to give it to anyone its not that I'm trying to be rude I just
know I suck and I'm not worth anybodies time to put on there watch list on DA the really good artist on
DA have been smart and know that I have no potential so they do not watch me I already know I suck please do not wast your time watching me on DA please do not add any of my art to your favorites list
like I said before I don't think I have any potential so please don't watch me thank you. PS: My name on DA is the same name as on here xxxLatiasxxx.

Q: Can I give you constructive criticism?

A: Yes please and be honest if you think I have no potential please just tell me that its better than having people lie and say that I'm really good when I know I'm not.

This is a good start. I can see that you really don't have drew much.
Just practise, practise and practise and you can have amazing drawing skills after some years.
Those animals are good but [email protected] needs some practising.
And background needs a lot practising.

Just to compare, I started drawing as fast as I was born and I keep still drawing.
These look like something that I drew when I was 7-9 years old. (Sorry, if this disappoints you)
I need much more practising too.

Kotone November 7th, 2009 7:46 AM

xxxLatiasxxx November 7th, 2009 10:45 AM

Everybody has their own start.

So don't say it sucks. Support yourself and you'll do better.
If you tell yourself it sucks then it will.

So don't say it sucks c:

I completely agree with her here. You should always try to be positive. *nods*

Anyways, I really think that you still have a ways to go. I advise you this: The only thing that you need is a lot of practice! Remember, practise makes a man perfect. Even though they may looking really weird now, I'm sure that you'll improve once you practise hard. ;)

Looking forward to what you do next.....

(Even I'm not very good at art. xD)

xxxLatiasxxx November 9th, 2009 6:56 PM

Thank you the both of you for your comments I'm definitely going to practice more.

I adore your decision to color the clouds pink, reminds me of cotton candy. :3
*positions glasses* Now, as somewhat of polished illustrator, I'd advise you to work on the smoothness of coloring and hiding your erased lines. But as a fellow artist, I hate feeling pressured by the rules of the art thread to give critique because I don't believe art has regulations/boundaries and is meant to be admired and/or interpreted. There is a particular innocence about your work that draws me, and I enjoyed scrolling down the page to experience that vibe. Despite your self-deprecation in your original post, I appreciate your effort and I think your work is excellent.

Thank you for your honest comments on my art work poopnoodle.

Yeah, although i'm no artist, i'm ok at drawing, and i'm a musician, and music shouldn't really have rules etc. And the pokemon in those bottom two are good, and it says to me that the most important part in the picture is the pokemon, and the fact that the pkmn are bolder than the background draws attention to the best bit of the picture.

More practice and you'll be brilliant

I agree.. To be frank, your drawings look like 5-10 year olds.. Don't worry, I used to draw like that too.. But now my drawings have changed. Keep drawing regularly and I'm sure your drawings will turn out nicer and much better! Keep it up! Your drawings remind me of my little brother's drawing espicially the animals.. He love animals! :D Keep it up and post more of your drawings! :D

mosama December 3rd, 2009 12:03 PM

i remember when i first started drawin pokemon when i was like 7 i used to trace allot, id suggest doin that just as a beginning training, but eventually u gotta move on and know how to draw on your own.

Armand December 3rd, 2009 2:32 PM

xxxLatiasxxx December 4th, 2009 4:29 PM

Thanks MetallicZ, Armand, and mosama thanks for your comments and yes I'm 18 years old and still draw like a little kid should I just give up now or should keep going? MetallicZ I already know my drawings suck but thanks for reminding me. Thanks for the comments again.
