Dragon poke

NOTE: I am using Silver Version

I am trying to create a team that is half all around poke mon and half dragon so these are what I want any suggestions for others

All around:

Venasuar

Scizor

??????(possibly Sudowood I am trying him out as of now)

Dragon:

Dragonite

Kingdra

Gyrados?? maybe or how about another Dragonite with a differnt move set or an aradactal (bad spelling)

please help I reallly want to use Dragons their soooo cool, but I want three others to help back them up and are cool in other regards

rampage333 October 17th, 2004 7:07 PM

gyrados is not an dragon type lol
dragonite is kool but it takes a long time lv him up...

TrueMariksPower October 17th, 2004 7:15 PM

I know that gyrados isn' t dragon but he learns dragon moves, note this goes for aryadactal as well

Here's a move set for Aeorodactyl

Hyperbeam
Dragonbreath
Earthquake
Irontail

a little all over the place, but good XD!

Steelix, Gyarados, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Dragonite, Kingdra, Tyranitar can really all fit into dragon + pseudo-dragon team...

And Adamhays, once again, Advanced Trainer's Guide... right over there... that Aerodactyl moveset is beyond usability...

Aerodactyl (GSC) @ miracle/lefties
-substitute
-wing attack/fire blast
-ancientpower
-earthquake

Gyarados and Aerodactyl are HORRIBLE Sp.Atkers, giving them Dragonbreath is like losing the match before it started. And someone shut AdamHays up, hes more annoying that Kirby00.

let's just be nice now... ^^; If they decide to use their ingame moveset, let them do so... for the real player can look at it and know who are the ingamers and who actually plays competitively.

Breath in, breath out... calm down... XD

I love that comment.

A Dragon team in Silver is a waste of time... meh... I think the team frosty suggested is the best one out...

Not to mention you have a limited choice, when it comes to making Dragons and dragon-like Pokemon (no T-tar? I am surprised).

Let's destroy this little bubble of illusion you've created for yourself, shall we?

Hyperbeam - oh yes, that's right, give your opponent a free attack while you sit there doing nothing for a turn. The high attack power does not save Hyperbeam from being barely usable (ie relegated to Slaking).

Dragonbreath - Aerodactyl's special attack is so poor as to be unusable, go with a physical attack to make the most of Aerodactyl's higher attack power.

Earthquake - ok, there's one good move to use, but Earthquake doesn't have the same type coverage it used to, now that Levitate users are a fairly common sight.

Iron Tail - I consider Meteor Mash to be a bad attack, in the same way that Fire Blast is worse than Flamethrower. Iron Tail is even worse, 75% accuracy, and no STAB - Aerodactyl doesn't even need the extra attack power, and Steel attacks don't hurt Electric and Water types that much - Aerodactyl's common weaknesses.

yea he is a dragon type

Toothache October 18th, 2004 10:22 AM

Actually, Gyarados is Water/Flying, but he looks close enough to a dragon that he is often confused with one.

Thanks to every one, I decided to go with dragon, to be original, to win every time no problems all everyone hase to do is either use uuber pokes or cheap stuff (in my regard) like Curselax and so one...

So my team will be:

Dragonite

Venasuar

Kingdra

Scizor

Ayradactal

Tyranatar

I want to keep venasaur, he is one of my favorites, and Scizor I will use over Gyados, becuse 1. I like him better, 2 Scizor still has very high attack and defense, 3 Scizor learns Sword dance.

No steelix, even though he is good, ehhh not my cup of tea

Thanks to every one who helped, any other suggestions like what pokes to use until I get Tyran and Aradak sice they are only avalable much later
