When I fisrt liked pokemon in the red and blue days I used to find all these false crappy sites on the internet everywhere.

There seemed to be no official looking ones with good content, I would love to find one of them or even create one, lol.

Faltzer September 30th, 2006 8:40 AM

Some Official websites are out of date on purpose. Pokemon.com is one of them. A flashy website with absolutely no new game info, etc.

BlueEew October 1st, 2006 1:47 AM

They will proberly wait a while just before Diamond and Peral is released in USA.

Faltzer October 1st, 2006 6:43 AM

This has been done before, and they won't really wait. This is why some people make fansites like PokePress,PokeFeeds, etc. To keep people updated in the pokemon world.

pokejungle October 2nd, 2006 2:19 AM

That's why there's all fansites, to provide information that the official sources won't.

Faltzer October 2nd, 2006 4:21 PM

Yep, and that's why some people are visiting fan resources over official resources.

Blaze October 2nd, 2006 4:43 PM

Pokemon.com was never made with the intention of being first for Pokemon News X)

Pokemon USA Inc. basically even frowns upon FanSites posting things from Japan, because it lessens the shock and publicity when it comes to the States.

Faltzer October 2nd, 2006 6:15 PM

Even if Pokemon.com wasn't made to be first on the news, they could at least provide much more decent info than normal fansites do, as most people visit the official site before fansites. It's just some kid flash website, which is an inferno for dial-up users, plus noting that ASP pages take a while to load.

Why not just turn it into PHP?

Eon-Rider October 24th, 2006 2:07 AM

Why don't you ask them yourself? As if they're gonna be able to find that question lying around here.

/me hates scrolling all the way down to WD.

BlueEew October 24th, 2006 2:53 AM

What type of coding do you need to use to create forum softwares? I have been wondering what type of coding you need for a couple of days, it would be intresting to know.

pokejungle October 24th, 2006 3:57 AM

PHP and MySQL working together at maximum efficiency to create a beautiful union, the outcome ranging from forums to websites <3

Faltzer October 24th, 2006 12:41 PM

If only there was such thing as a ASP+MS-Access Bulletin Board system. I think there is one though.....

pokejungle October 25th, 2006 4:04 AM

There's a really good one, forgot what it's called though, sorry. ._.;

PJN is getting ready to launch a site that will change communities forever =]

This is a project coordinated by some of the top webmasters out there. Greg, Matt, saul, Sarah, and myself. Top secret, but we're hoping to release it soon.

pokejungle October 25th, 2006 5:42 AM

We're out to revolutionize things a bit.

BlueEew October 26th, 2006 4:47 AM

Do you know when you are going to open the site Paul?

pokejungle October 26th, 2006 5:11 AM

Next week is the goal at the moment.

Why do I have a feeling you're talking about spinarak.net? I think I know what it is already though.

pokejungle October 27th, 2006 4:08 AM

It is spinarak.net ~

What do you think it is? X3;

BlueEew October 28th, 2006 6:53 AM

Its going to be something to do with "web" and connecting sites or something togeather, am I correct?

Blaze October 28th, 2006 9:23 PM

I think you should just tell everyone, since the more hype you create for it the harder it is going to live up to it.

Last thing we need is another major hype project failure *cough*PokeRealmCommunityHub*cough*

BlueEew October 29th, 2006 1:58 AM

I don't think its very nice to call it a faliure Blaze, Zero as now left PokeRealm, actually he asn't been anywhere online for a week now. He as now actually left PokeRealm and as given it to a responasble admin.

Anyway Paul if you are creating something like the CDP/HUB, Zero made, let us know like Blaze said.

pokejungle October 29th, 2006 2:11 AM

I honestly don't know anything about that project~ apparently he didn't hype it enough.

No he hyped it enough, which is why he got zero (no pun intended) support. People commonly don't like to be teased with little lines of projects, people like to know information.

There is a fine line between hinting at a project and flat out just torturing people.

Eon-Rider October 30th, 2006 5:54 PM

I assuming it's some sort of search engine or a web directory.
