I have a solution the #container tag its to wide you don't need a width for it and it will work

Thomas December 12th, 2007 8:01 PM

I kinda miss your older layout that you had b4 this one Paul...this one is too...empty (for lack of a better word). I do like how this holiday one is turning out though.

Lubricus December 12th, 2007 8:03 PM

Also FauxCivility here is the product of taking out the width of the #contanier all together. http://dragod.net/holiday.php3.htm ( I will delete this once you have looked at it)

pokejungle December 12th, 2007 8:05 PM

You rock, +1 respect rank.

That was for Mm.

And Thomas, you're right... A lot of people thought it was too empty. When the holidays are over, I'll be going back to a similar layout, but one that you can choose from like 6 color schemes and it will be more 'busy'. I also want the themes cookied so it works better than some other layout switchers.

Makes Me warm and fuzzy inside. Its kinda of funny I was just reading about this in a book this morning. Well I better catch some zzzs.

WaterPKMNMaster December 12th, 2007 9:40 PM

Speaking of layouts, I seem to have been working on this one for half a year now...

http://www.pokebeach.com/immerse

What do ye think? Ignore some of the avatars that do not align and other stuff... it's not completely done yet, just like the second Death Star.

*puts Koroku on ignore since no matter what, he'll try to be mean and a jerk about it for absolutely no reason*

@ Paul: Erm... The content (right part) still isn't in the right place. =P But I'm not sure if you've fixed that yet. >.<;;

And I saw a light striped bg before. I liked it better than this dark one =P I dunno, it just doesn't seem to fit for me.... But it's your layout, not mine.

Also, the side nav bar looks weird. =P I'm not sure if it's intentional or not but... yeah.... I provided a screeny of what I mean in attachments.....

@ waterpkmn: FINALLY a change. Anyways, looks nice. Eh, but why is Lefeon there is it's a grass pkmn. Shouldn't you have something like Vaporeon? O.o

WaterPKMNMaster December 12th, 2007 9:51 PM

Just a placeholder, and thanks. :)

I actually really liked IceBB way back when I actually did forums.

They have too many pointless RC's, considering they only do minimal fixes to the actual script, when they could just fix it all in one nice and shiny Gold update, without giving users an extra amount of work in the future.

At least they're getting rid of all the bugs before releasing something... unlike other certain softwares out there that release a patch one day later.

I've been disappointed with its progress.

(I'm such a message board nerd, I know basically all the PHP ones out there...)

hehe nerd :P

Hehe... sounds like phpBB2 :P

Not to mention it's lacking features that most people expect of a forum...

At least it doesn't force features on you like some of the vB 3.7 idiotic ones.

No I think your right Im looking at it with a smaller moniter and it doesn't work I really want to find out why its not working now.

EDIT: I fixed it again Paul take out the width of the layout tag and it should work.

pokejungle December 13th, 2007 5:07 AM

What browser are you using saul o___o;;; My links are not suppose to look like that.

I'll try taking off the layout width when I get home~

saul December 13th, 2007 5:42 AM

It's firefox. =P

Couldn't you see in the screenie? O.o;;

It has nothing thing to do with the browser it has to do with his moniter and resolution you should never go over 900 for a width. You should just set the width to auto so it goes to a size good for everyone.

Faltzer December 13th, 2007 4:02 PM

Setting width to auto makes it automatically stretch through the whole screen, thus making the layout look ugly. Is this how you intend for it to look, Mmarzex :

http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/6072/pjntestvp8.png

Your logo is just too big, considering that the container tops it off. It's something similar as to the issue with Pokeuniverse running on small res's, with that Pachirisu h1 problem.

Lubricus December 13th, 2007 4:19 PM

I meant just get rid of the width tag all together go here dragod.net/holiday.php3.htm this is what it looks like doing what I said that you need to take the width out of both of them.

pokejungle December 13th, 2007 4:58 PM

It's not very IE compatible at all D:

Ugh. Anyone see any obvious errors that would cause that?

Eon-Rider December 13th, 2007 9:44 PM

Hooray! phpBB3 Gold came out today... I've upgraded my board to it. :D

Thomas December 13th, 2007 10:17 PM

I never really liked phpBB...so I'm not that excited. ^^;;
But I do like that at least one person on PokeCommunity has a Heroes board. XD

Faltzer December 14th, 2007 10:16 AM

<_<; It actually looks much better on IE than on FF in my humble opinion, error or not.

pokejungle December 14th, 2007 3:47 PM

IE6? On IE7, yes, it does look snazzy <3

Lubricus December 14th, 2007 7:55 PM

If each is contained in a div, you'll need to set them to display inline.

everything is in divs I just want to know why it shows up like this dragod.net/index3.php/ instead of like dragod.net

pokejungle December 14th, 2007 8:55 PM

I would check your .htaccess or PHP coding if you're getting a slash at the end of your URL.... It wouldn't be due to CSS.

Faltzer December 15th, 2007 5:12 AM

o.O; Ausadriel's a moderator? o.o;

Since when does CSS add a slash to your URL? It's usually your .htaccess file having some rewrite rules processed.
