Great Pixel Art Tutorials
Quote:
Its from a different forum, the focus is not pokemon but its general spriting. Its great, I seen some crap sprites made from scratch. Read http://gas13.ru/v3/tutorials/sywtbapa_almighty_grass_tile.php Go step away from the traditional pokemon look, the grass is crap in pokemon IMHO its just green repeated over and over. You can argue its supposed to be cartoon like, but still boring |
Nice.
I only knew of Mark's tuts, and some of the others at PJ, but most of these other links might come in handy. *Saves before mods come* |
I've seen a few of these before, but these are definitely helpful.
Not very much of this can be applied to most of the less experienced pixel artists here, since they don't really do anything other than pokemon, but for people wanting to try different things, these are worth a read. I also found these as a link at PJ: http://www.bakaneko.com/howto/figure/anatomy/index.html http://www.bakaneko.com/howto/figure/anatomy2/index.html They aren't specifically for pixel art, but if you're doing something somewhat-large, then these anatomy guides are very helpful. |
