Need some help :)

Hello. A couple days ago I decided that hacking pokemon games sounds like a fun idea.

So I downloaded HackMew's tools, as well as a Fire Red rom and VBA. I started fooling around with it, and read through the XSE guide. Scripting doesn't seem to tough, as I have a bit of a background with programming. After a few days of mindless scripting, I decided to try making a few changes to Fire Red. I read some mapping tutorials on this amazing website :D, and got going.

I mapped out Pallet Town, and decided to try out some scripting. I put a person on the map (a pokeball), and wrote a script for it (giveitem and such). I changed the people ID. I made sure the offset was right. But for some reason, when I go to try out the it em in VBA, the item pokeball is not where I had it in advanced map! :( Just wondering what I should try, as I'm sure its some stupid mistake!

And this website = amazing.

I realize this should go in ROM hacking, unfortunately, i have no idea how to delete this thread.

Wow, well.. since you already know where this was supposed to go, I guess there's not much for me to tell you.
Don't worry about deleting the thread, I'll just close it up. xD
