NB Team =O

Alakazam @ Choice Band
[Timid] EVs: 0 Attack, 170 Speed
Trick
Taunt
Torment
Psychic

A Tricker with Taunt and Torment is just... annoying :P

Linoone @ Choice Band
[Adamant] EVs: 0 Speed, 0 Sp. Attack, 255 Attack
Extremespeed
Iron Tail
Shadow Ball
HP Flying

Yah, I gave up to Speed and he still has 235 o.0
I attack and... attack o__O

Lanturn @ Chesto Berry
[Modest] EVs: 0 Attack, 102 for all others
Rest
Toxic
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam

A Boltbeamer with Toxic and Rest to abuse the HP... I like Lanturn this way o.0

Jolteon @ King's Rock
[Brave] EVs: Spped at 152, all others a bit down except Attack.
Bite
Quick Attack
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave

YES, Im trying a Non-Sub Jolt! Since he's faster... lets abuse of Bite =p

Raticate @ Liechi Berry
[Adamant] EVs: 0 HP, 0 Sp. Attack, 247 Speed
Endeavor
Quick Attack
Substitute
Super Fang

Substitute until I almost die, Endeavor, than Quick Attack to finish =p
Super Fang is there just in case of emergencies @@;;

Hitmonlee @ Salac Berry
[Adamant] EVs: 0 Def, 0 Sp Attack, 170 Speed and Attack
Endure
Reversal
Rock Slide
Attact (She is female)

Attract, than Rock Slide. If they *almost* kill me, Endure than Reversal with Salac Berry. And yah, I gave up in Defence because Endure will work easily ... o__o

Alakazam - ah, ye olde Trickbander. Problem with this is Alakazam's defences aren't too great to pull off Taunt + Torment. Go with:

[email protected] Band
EV: 252 Sp Att, 252 Speed, 6 Sp Def
Nature: + Speed, - Att
Trick
Calm Mind
Fire/Ice/Thunderpunch
Fire/Ice/Thunderpunch/Psychic

Ice + Thunderpunch for pseudo-boltbeam, or Psychic for STAB, it's your choice. Bear in mind Houndoom messes you over unless you have Thunderpunch.

Linoone - ew, Iron Tail. I'm sure we can do better than that:

[email protected] Band
EV: 252 Speed, 252 Att, 6 Def
Extremespeed
Shadow Ball
HP Fighting
Substitute/Trick

If you're feeling really mean, have 2 trickbanders :-)

Lanturn - seems fine to me
EV: 252 Sp Def, 129 Sp Att, 129 Speed
Nature: + Sp Att, - Att

Jolteon - give him HP Grass or HP Ice over Bite
EV: 252 Sp Att, 252 Speed
Nature: + Speed, - Att

Raticate - lacks a way to hurt Ghost types:

[email protected] Berry
EV: 252 Speed, 252 Att, 6 Def
Nature: + Att, - Sp Att
Shadow Ball/HP Rock
Super Fang
Quick Attack
Substitute

Times like these I wish Pokemon had 5 moves instead of 4.

Hitmonlee - doesn't have good Defence anyway, so you may as well skip over EV training in Defence. And how do you have a female when all Himtons are male? Never mind...

[email protected] Berry
EV: 252 Att, 252 Speed, 6 Sp Def
Nature: + Speed, - Sp Att
Endure
Reversal
Rock Slide
HP Bug/Ghost

HP Bug/Ghost as a nice friendly hello to Psychic types

Overall, your team seems very weak to physical tanks, especially Weezing. Toxic vunerability is also a problem.

That Raticate could work
or u could try
Raticate[jolly]@ choice band
EVs - hp, Att, Sp
return
shadow ball
HP ground/fighting
super fang/facade

If u want guts abuse try Facade

As for linonne don't give up speed at all.......its his only good stat
if u want u can leave choice band and drop most of the Att EVs for max Sp and some hp
Try
Linoone[jolly]
EVs - hp, Sp, Att
belly drum
shadow ball
substitute
extremespeed

If i was u i would drop one of the rats for a tank of some sort
or a hazer/annoyer

maybe u could use banett w/ its evs into attack (256), speed (256), and rest into hp
ok lets see hmm. shadow ball (of course w/ such high attack) hp fighting (no pokemon that i can think of including shedinja is immune 2 both fighting and ghost), destiny bond/thunder wave, screech/sub
give it either chocie band or brightpowder. also nature should go into attack and reduce sp att.
otherwise it can be a mixed sweeper w/: hp fight/bug, thunder bolt, shadow ball, thunder wave/toxic

Insomnia prevents the use of Rest...

kirby00 October 23rd, 2004 1:19 PM

i didnt talk bout the move rest. i said rest go into hp as in rest of evs.
neways banett doesnt have the defs to use rest w/o a chesto berry. so it could only really use it once, and unless it uses roleplay it cant use it at all...
i dont think rest is nec on this poke. it jsut has to sweep in and fast.

Toothache October 23rd, 2004 1:38 PM

Like Xillon said, Banette can't actually use Rest (Insomnia prevents the use of Rest)

Spike Razzor October 23rd, 2004 1:40 PM

The thing is slow anyways, so giving it speed it kind of a big waste. 252 HP and Atk, 6 on anything you want. Shadow Ball, HP Fight, Return, Thunder Wave.

((Kirby wasn't talking about the move rest, he ment putting the rest of the remaining Ev's into whatever you want.))

kirby00 October 24th, 2004 7:41 PM

exactly what i mean spike razzor. also what i like about bannet is the fact it is immune to normal, & fighing, and gains hp fighting that gets rid of its darkness weakess, steel weakness, normal types(which is immune to ghost), any possible ice threats, rock types (which usually have high def), and shadow ball gets rid of its other weakness: ghost, and psychic (which hp fighting is weak too). those to moves alone get rid of many weaknesses, thunderwave to lower their speed closer to yours, while offering a 50% chance to not attack, and either destiny bond to finish them off when you know you are going to loose, or instead use return to gain power from friendlyness, (and w/ this moveset it will win alot, making it even more friendly *see how well it compliments itself?*) which is also a fairly good attack, or possibly replace that with the move: double edge. give it evs into attack (252), evs into hp (252) (b/c its speed, sp and reg. def are almost the same as they are low, hp is nec.) and 6 into possibly sp def. (being the 3rd highest).
I prefer detiny bond b/c of its low def, which could be useful as a good double knockout. also nightshade is another possible choice, but since no pokemon *including shedinja* are immune to both ghost/fighting, the last move hardly matters. give it either choice band or brightpowder.

Frostweaver October 24th, 2004 7:58 PM

The problem to that is that before Banette can do anything, it's already OHKOed. No defense and no speed means that it can't abuse its high attack power, sadly enough.

Also, no one should ever judge types in the method that "oh well Banette is weak to Dark, so having HP Fighting will counter this weakness." Statement like this is not often true. There are no dark attack users besides Houndoom who uses dark attacks, while it's Sceptile that uses Crunch the most. Most shadow ball users are actually normal and poison types, with HP Ghost being used on fighting types to hit Claydol and Gengar. Gengar does use shadow ball, but nowhere as often as something like Crobat or Snorlax.

As you see from the examples, don't judge type advantages by just looking at the attack and assume everything is STAB. Judge type advantages by looking at who uses that attack the most.

Exampel fo what I mean:

If you want a counter to thunderbolt users, then you should not ONLY look at ground attacks. Shadow ball and thunderbolt are both powerful attacks that counter thunderbolt users. Now, ice beam and thunderbolt are either normal/terrible against electric types, but when you look at the big picture of just how many psychic types/Gengar uses thunderbolt/thunderpunch, and how ice beam is terribly powerful against dragon types (and all special sweeping dragon types but Salamence tend to have electric attacks.)
