Little tree XD

Ok I'm still working on the little tree (fixing it up). Expect more from me. Oh and all of those above are 100%scratched. (except the OWs, I kinda scratched/spliced on those :P)

Wow! these are good Dkg.. i hope to see more from you :)

Heey DKG! Nice Sprites and Tiles. Only one thing, you should add more shading to your fakemon. That looks much better ;) Keep it up ! x3

sure thnx :)

Yea, still trying to master shading :P

Wow, these are great! You've really only been spriting for 2 weeks? The only real problem I see is that the tail of the second Fakemon is to erect. Other than that, these are practically flawless. Keep up the good work!

Pick your favourite.

blackmoonflower January 28th, 2010 6:57 PM

I like the first one more, it looks more like a battle sprite. Shading still needs work, though.

558122_DG January 28th, 2010 9:10 PM

K, Everyone likes the first one :P

Ok, I'm gonna check out a shading tut :)

*hint*pro spriters make a shading tut*hint*

You should use custom colors instead of prefixed ones.
It should make your sprites look better.

Perhaps you should make some more Fakemon. My advice for Fakemon is to think out-of-the-box so your designs can be noticed. Try relating it to actual animals and/or plants. For instance, I'm pretty sure nobody has thought of a Viperfish Fakemon yet *winks*.

I'll prolly make an evo for it so it doesn't look pathetic like dusparce.
Ummm any comments on the shading? is there improvement?
And for some reason I can't splice for beans or fusion sprite for that matter :P

some of your lines in your tadpole aren't smoothly, to sharp-edged. shading looks ok.

yea I noticed :/
But when I try fixing it, it takes away from the whole long thin and curvy look :/
If someone can fix it up and show me how its done that'd be great :D
I won't tkae ur sprite fix if u do decide to redo it, I just wanna see how it looks like.

On the lighter note, I scratched a bird preevo :D
Hope u like it (it's supposed to be cute XD)

Well, i fixed up your sharp-edged lines. ;)
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/8605/smoothly.png

On the left side you see your sprite and among them you see, in red, how the line supposed to be. On the right you see the result and a explanation of how I did the lines and how it's supposed to be (the red lines, are your lines, which aren't right. And the green ones are the right way to make that line.) ;)

Your bird indeed, is cute, but to front and to simple. And has sharp-edged lines (maybe you intended it that way, if so, I appologize). ^^

ed00001 February 2nd, 2010 3:01 PM

It's very squarish, and looks very 2D. I like the tadpole though

:o I see. Thnx :D

As for the bird I'm not quite sure what you mean by front and simple :/
but the sharp lines were intended a trait it carries after evolution :)

ed00001 February 2nd, 2010 3:18 PM

Oh.. It's supposed to be square. But it should be on more of an angle.

countryemo February 2nd, 2010 3:27 PM

Hey, you're doing great, tadpole looks nice, same with the baby eagle, which can use some work?
Keep on going.
