On Venusaur I would drop Razor Leaf for Leech Seed so you get HP from Leftovers and Leech Seed, and that's all I've got.

Frostweaver October 24th, 2004 3:12 PM

Venusaur- I'll also drop razor for leech seed... hmm didn't I already do an entry on Venusaur? O.o; (and when I'm less busy and distracted, I'll resume working on Battledex again >>; )

Gengar- never use those useless 1.1 boosters except for some very special case, and this isn't one of them. Use a lum berry instead. You should ditch shadow ball for Focus punch, because Shadow ball on Gengar without atk EVs is rather useless. Also, get a speed + nature.

Flareon- you got no choice for Flareon but this moveset... sadly

Flareon- [atk + / sp.atk or def or speed -] @ quick claw/white herb
EV: atk, hp, sp.def
-overheat
-shadow ball
-2 of the following: HP Physical, return, quick attack, wish

Lapras- hmm forgot what serious do... but hope that it's something that boosts either def, sp.def or sp.atk at the cost of attack power. Confuse ray isn't doing much here... so I'll switch it for roar. (It's actually not htat bad at using it too)

Fearow- use lum berry instead of useless sharp beak. The last move should be either double edge or return, as they get STAB too. Toxic is kinda useless here too as no other member in your team can assist with the toxic theme... but it's still ok. Quick attack or tri attack (for hax status) can also be considered.

Porygon2- it got great tanking abilities, so go with leftovers. Psybeam is a weak attack and shouldn't be used. Either go with the standard thunderwave, or exchange it for the more powerful Psychic.

The only bad part is you don't have a super effective move against water but Sludge Bomb is 90 power plus STAB, so that should be enough. I use Earthquake on my Venusuar but maybe I'm different.

Star Crossed Dreamer October 24th, 2004 4:15 PM

The team seems well balanced in terms of moves. I see no reason to change it.

Mullet October 24th, 2004 4:20 PM

Are you crazy ricky Razor Leaf on Venusuar there are much better choices! :\

Eevee's_Darkness October 24th, 2004 7:28 PM

If you replaced Mirror Move on your Fearow with Double Team, and gave it a Leftovers to hold, you could really annoy people. :bandit: Just use Toxic first thing, then use Double Team 3-5 times. You'll end up doing a fair amount of damage to your opponent with Toxic, and any damage you take while you are raising your Fearow's evasiveness will be healed after a few turns by the Leftovers. Then you can annoy the hell out of your opponent when it can't hit you. My Mightyena uses a very similar tactic, and I find it very useful. :)

Provided that Fearow doesn't get killed in one shot when you're trying to setup double team, or if you don't get hit by Aerial Ace ;p
