please help me out
it might seem like a stupid question but which one should i have a level 70 mewtwo or a level 56 pidgeot? attacks are for mewtwo psychic, safe guard, recover, swift (going to teach it better moves) and for pidgeot aerial ace, wing attack, feather dance, quick attack. i like my pidgeot alot but my mewtwo is just so strong.....
|
In terms of competitive battling, Mewtwo all the way, being an ubar with superior movepool. Pidgeot isn't usable EVEN for a UU tournament.
However, in terms of which one you like more, that's just personal perferences... can't help you on it. If you're competitive battling, take Mewtwo (if they allow ubars), but otherwise, it doesn't matter at all. |
They don't really have tournaments for the gameboy games, and what ones I've heard of have only been at POkemon Center New York. :\ So limits on ubers I don't think is a problem. Most people don't get that competitive anyway.
Still, I too would suggest Mewtwo. He has a better array of moves, plus he is naturally stronger than Pidgeot, and he is already at a higher level. |
Mewtwo's naturally high sp. att makes him one of the strongest ubers in my opinion. :D

May I ask what is the common Ninjask?
|
Common Ninjask- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ leftovers/stat boosting berry
EV: atk, speed -Silver Wind -Substitute -Swords dance -Baton Pass Sub one turn, then silver wind 2nd turn, and gg... if it's not gg, then send out the quick attacker to finish things off. If Ninjask wants to be more save, it can keep subbing until liechi kicks in, and then silver wind. As for the Frosty Ninjask that's unheard of by anywhere else outside of PC pretty much, it's a gurantee OHKO (what set is that? NOOO It's mine! ;p) |
What is Baton Pass for? Also what is gg?
|
gg = "good game." It's something nice to say at the end of a match to congratulate both players' good work and excellent performance during the match. It's basic online game curtsy.
Baton pass allows you to pass any stat changes to the Pokemon receiving the baton pass. So let's say that Ninjask got a substitute out, with 1 usage of swords dance and 3 turns has passed (meaning speed boost got 3 rounds to work), and if Ninjask used baton pass to Salamence, then Salamence will join the battle with a substitute out, 2 level of attack and 3 level of speed. The substitute, swords dance and the bonus from speed boost got passed from Ninjask to Salamence. That is how baton pass works. |
ok thanks for the help...i think i might have mewtwo then...

If Mewtwo is stupid and decides to calm mind, good... use swords dance XD If Mewtwo switches out, then act according depending on who... if it's a speudohazer, you either attack it with the best of your ability as roar/whirlwind will destroy you either way, or baton pass to someone with suction cups/soundproof (if against roar.) If the opponent is a hazer, just attack and be sure to have substitute in place. They can take out your speed and attack bonus, but you can always pass the sub. |
Silver wind can't take out Mewtwo. Most insects are took weak to handl anything, especially what they're weak to. Especially with such a weak attack as Silver wind. No one uses that thing. :\ And Ninjask is not always faster. Mewtwo already has uber stats, and when raisd properly he can be just as fast if not faster than Ninjask.
If mewtwo keeps breakins substitutes, then you'll ahve to keep making them. And that will keep Ninjask from doing anything else. And you know taht costs helath. Sooner or later he won't be able to do it, and then he's baste for Mewtwo. And can Ninjask even learn Substitute? Here's the thing tah laways bugs me: YOu claim you ahve a guaranteed way to beat mewtwo, when teh fact is there is no guaranteed way. They emphasize the fact continuously that there is no super pokemon that is a guaranteed win, and you should do well to remember that. |

Ninjask keeps making subs until its berry kicks in, making its attack more than 400. HP Bug/Silver Wind, Mewtwo, with its pathetic Def has been OHKOed. Mewtwo is as fast as Dactyl, Jolteon and Crobat which are all slower than Ninjask. Basic Ninjask has 419 speed, which Mewtwo could never hope to get up too. Mine has 460, I would love to see Mewtwo outrun it v_v. Dude, happy now? |
do you really listen? ninjask is always faster than mewtwo (ninjask base speed 150, mewtwo 130) with 3 subs @ ninjask he activates liechi berry and silverwind has then a base power of 60 x 1,5 (berry) x 1,5 (stab) x 2 (super effective) = 270 and that hurts...

Bear in mind Psychic types are weak to Bug moves, and Silver Wind is a bug move. Now, let's see... base speed 160, with Speed Boost increasing the speed every turn vs Mewtwo's speed 130. I'd say Ninjask was faster... and people do use Silver Wind, as shown earlier in the common Ninjask moveset - it wouldn't be common if it wasn't used all the time. Mewtwo's defence is only barely above average, and a max Attack Ninjask, using a STAB move with Super Effectiveness = dead Mewtwo, or within the last few % of health. Plenty of opportunity for Mewtwo to get Quick Attacked to death by the next opponent. And that's just for Ninjask... what about the other usable bug types, Heracross (overly abused for Endure/Reversal) and Scyther for high sweeping potential. And there's plenty of other decent bug types, Pinsir for example, Forretress, should I go on? Besides, if all Ninjask is doing is replacing it's broken Substitute, then that gives him up to 3 speed boosts, eligible to pass to any sweeper (and there's nothing scarier than a fast Rhydon, believe me, I had the unfortunate mispleasure of being clean sweeped by a speed boosted Rhydon in my earlier days). |
Like I said, can Ninjask even learn substitute? And bugs are jsut as weak to psychic as psychic is weak to bugs. Most bug moves are frankly too weak. The only strong bug moves I've seen have been on Heracross, but he isn't a Ninjask, is he?
NOt to sound like a hater here but I simply have to voice this or I'll explode. Frosty is not always right. I've heard too many people say "If frosty said it, then it must be right." That is one of the twenty deadly logical fallacies. And if anyone says something different than Frosty, The Frosty fan boys always go "Oh, your wrong, cause Frosty said differently" And it just sickens me to no end. The guy is not god, people. He is capable of making mistakes. One he makes most often is his continuous assumption that most people train by nothing but EVs and any team that doesn't match his views is garbage in his eyes. And I've been a victim of that view from him. Frosty holds with him a contemptuous behavior taht I jsut can't stand or tolerate. You treat him liek he OWNS this section of the board. He did not program the game. he is not the voice of infinite wisdom. He is capable of making mistakes. For instance, if Mewtwo is faster, then he can use psychic and bam, Ninjask is dead beforfe he even uses Substitute once. Again, if he can even learn it. I've never seen one nor heard of a Ninjask with substitute. I know I'm going to get seriously flamed by all the frosty fanboys out there, but I had to express this opinion of mine or I knew I'd be mulling over it till the day I die. Nothing bothers me more than seeing someone who is as human as the rest of us with his same number of faults, if not more, than the rest of us get lifted up onto a pillar of godliness as if he were the Messiah. I can't stand it. |
You say that Frost can't understand that Mewtwo is faster than Ninjask, and that he is always right. Are you stupid or something? Listen to this, it may help you. Ninjask is the fastest pokemon ALIVE (394 v.s 419, no contest...)! I think your just all pissy because everyone pretty much shut you up in this topic, so stop your whinning and go find some other person to bother.
P.S. A good ammount of the time, Frosty is right, thats enough for me to respect him. As for you, I have no respect towards you. Never have and now I never will. |

You never heard of a Ninjask with substitute? Substitute on Ninjask is standard for god sake. Are you really living on Planet Earth? Quote:
P.S. sorry Toothache for starting to flame or something, i don't like this either but just like that kirby00 guy, this guy has around no brains. |

1.I'd like to see you prove it. 2. Ninjask is not teh fastest. Just because he gains speed after every attack doesn't make him teh fastest. and 3. They always say he's right, and they are fan boys. They associate Frosty with always being right, and you, Mullet, are the most guilty of them all! >8(

You think you know he's rigth just because he's Frosty! You ignorant, pawn! The only reason tehy both have 4 blocks is because four is the maximum! I never said Ninjask wasn't fast. I said he wasn't tehhfastest. Mewtwo can easily be raised to be fast, and it doesn't matter what speed boost Ninjask has EVENTUALLY. If mewtwo strikes first, it's all over.
|
www.serebii.net check the ****ing dex look @ max stats and then come back, if you still dare to say that mewtwo can be faster if both have max speed you could either just shoot yourself for being so stupid or ask somebody to shoot yourself for being so stupid. Btw. The guide book sucks at competitive battling
|
Blocks mean nothing, it's the actual base speed of the Pokemon that matters. Let's dumb it down since I guess you can't possibly have read what I said earlier:
Mewtwo: Base Speed 130 Ninjask: Base Speed 160 NOTE: I already said this in my earlier post, learn to read sometime. So, how can Mewtwo possibly strike faster than Ninjask when it's base speed is 30 points lower? |
