Introduction:
I'm SSJ4 Furanki previously known as Furanki Pkmn Master, SSJ4 Cartman, Cartman, and SSJ4 Furatman you might know me as that guy who used to crap out a bunch of South Park hacks, that never got finished and I used to think I was so awesome because of it. But, looking back at that I'm ashamed to have ever made those hacks. I'm surprised most of those were even allowed at places. Anyways, this is a hack where, I'm trying to make it seem more like an actual Pokémon game. Taking things from GB, GBC, GBA, and DS Pokémon games and adding my own personal touch to it. I'm actually going to try to finish this one, in my spare time. Except in the Summer, and breaks, where I have a lot of time to work on this. I originally started this hack on FireRed, but decided to switch to Emerald.

Storyline:
4 years later from (GRBY/RSE/FRLG) and 1 from (GSC/DPP/HGSS), you start out as a trainer in Red Town, in the region of Ohsai. You get to choose your first Pokémon from Prof. Bark, take on your rival, get all the badges, etc. You also have to stop Team Death. Team Death is pretty much a cult, trying to awaken Darkrai to put everyone in the World to sleep, and steal everyone's Pokémon and they're not afraid to kill someone in the process, they also want to use Spiritomb to scare people that are afraid of Ghosts, same with Gastly, etc. They're very Dark and Ghost type based, but they have a Pokémon they're going after far more destructive than Darkrai or Spiritomb. It's the very epitome of evil, could be considered an evil parallel to Arceus.

Features:
- New Gym Types: This game will be using type that aren't used all that often or earlier than usual.
- 16 Gyms!
- New Region: Ohsai.
- New Pokémon: Some Fakémon, Some 4th and 5th Generation Pokémon.
- Elite 4/Pokémon League is being replaced by a 10 or 11 floor building for battling in Ohsai.
Each floor goes up by 10 levels (Ex. 1-9, 10-19, etc.)
- You don't have to get the Pokédex, you can continue on with the game, however I recommend you still get it.
- Brand New form for Deoxys.
- Giratina only has its Origin Forme in this game.
- Go to 2 full regions: Ohsai and Johto, also parts of Hoenn.
- New TM's: Some will be changed.
- Some New Items: A few have been changed.
- The Mach Bike is now a "Hover Scooter", the Acro Bike is now a "Jetpack" I'm bringing in some science fiction.
- Lv. 1 Starters: (Dratini, Bagon, Gible)
- New Hero/Heroine
- New Rival(s): Your main rival's female, other is male.
- Mild cussing: There's a lot of damns, etc. from regular trainers, but actual swearing like the "F-word" or "S-word" will only be said rarely.
- New Regional Pokédex (Maybe?)
- New Evil Team/Bad Guys: Team Death
- All 1st, 2nd, 3rd Gen and other Legendaries catchable, plus whichever, Fakémon and 4th Generation legendaries I throw in.
- Cameos of characters from Death Note.
- Cameos of Pokémon characters, possibly from the Manga, but most game characters will make an appearance.
- Return of Team Rocket, Magma, Aqua, Galactic and possibly the new team from the 5th Generation games. Team Death and Galactic's confrontations may prove interesting.
- Some existing may get type additions or changes. For example, it always seemed weird to me that Sceptile never got a second type. When, both Swampert and Blaziken did. Sceptile will now be Grass/Dragon, Charizard will become Dragon instead of Flying, etc.
- A mix of Custom, HG/SS, and FR/LG tiles will be used. So, for example trees from all 3 will be used.
- All 3 of Ohsai's starter Pokémon can be caught later in the game. So, unlike the official games, it's just a matter of... which one do I want first? I can still catch the other 2 and more of my starter later.
- Due to HG/SS giving "Gold" a real name "Ethan", I'm giving Silver a real name, he's going to be called "Damion" in this, since that means "to kill", which in my opinion fits with "Silver's" personality.
- Everything I can possibly de-ALL CAPITALIZE, I will.
- HG/SS Pokémon Overworlds.
- Day and Night!

Yeah, understandable, they're still the default Emerald tree tiles. I wanna replace them with 3 different sets of tree tiles, which I'll get to soon.

Oh, right..
1. Is it really necessary to include Zoroa? I mean, yeah, it's cool you inserted it, I guess, but you'd be guessing everything about it, except for its type. That's never really.. Great. I remember playing a hack called Arcoiris, who'd inserted Lucario, but well before any 4th gen game came out. It was badly done- it kept Regirock's moveset, except for Metal Claw being added (and that was it).
That, and your starters are now unbalanced- you've got Houndour and Zoroa, two Dark types, and then you've got Riolu, which is Fighting Type. To balance out the trio, replace Houndour (or Zoroa, rather) with a Psychic type.
2. I definately agree- change the tiles. RSE Default tiles are hideous, and should always be replaced.
3. The maps. I'm really sorry, but.. Well, they could use some work. Particularly the Route 901 map, which has caught my attention. The grass placement is random- natural mapping or not, random single patches of grass looks awful in a Pokemon Game. Especially for a first route, it should be simple. Avoid mixing and matching with the large trees and the slender trees, people tend to do it but they usually fail. (I know you haven't done that, but I'm just giving a heads up).
Also, never, Ever, EVER use both grass tiles in close proximity to one another. It's just hideous, if I'm bluntly honest, and especially in the current palette.
So, what you should focus on is-
1. The starters- switch one of the Dark ones to a Psychic type, and consider whether or not including Zoroa is really a good option.
2. Tiles and palettes. It appears you've already edited the palettes, but perhaps find.. "greener" trees and grass.
3. Maps. Watch which tiles you put where (wtf, that sounds incorrect). Avoid random grass and tree placement, give the player room to walk in straight lines without having a tree plonked in the middle of the path, and try to place Grass tiles in clumps of several tiles, rather than spread out the single tiles.
Sorry for the long "review". I hope you don't feel I'm making little of your work, I'm just offering my opinions and suggestions, which of course you are free to ignore if you so wish. Good luck with the hack:)

The story is actually pretty good, the tiles are okay but HG/SS poke-OWs... Plz watch out that Pichu won't be bigger than its trainer!^^ I'm also quite curious how you'll manage to interplant Rotom (all forms)... But it's a little unfair that Riolu pwns every other starter easily (btw starters... Zorua as a starter is an epic idea, hope it'll learn awesome attacks!^^) ... And please, don't mix different kinds of grass... It looks horrible... And think of a better name, DarkCopper doens't seem to suit the image (Dark suits, but I can't see the point in Copper...) !^^

Well, all in all a cool project (hope you know what you do, Emerald is harder to hack than FR or Ruby...) !^^ I'm gonna look at it every once in a while...

Well I think you have definetely improved this hack!
But I am sorry, The mapping is meh.
For example, the grass is very strange. And your placement is unnaturally strange..

I gotta say it's really much better... as for Zorua I see it as an excellent choice.
5 gen is something fresh so if we can see it in 3rd gen hack it'll help advertising your hack.
I was thinking of adding Zor-evo to my hack, if you don't mind could I use your sprites?

ANOTHER EMERALD HACK, YAY

1. Yeah,it will be guessing; but, I'll re-do it's moveset once it's revealed.
2. That's correct, I did edit the pallete. Yeah, I'm currently in the process of finding better Tree tiles.
3. Yeah, I see what you mean. I was trying to go for, naturally Grass wouldn't just be there in a concentrated area. But, I will have to edit, with the taller grass, I was going for a "variety" but, that doesn't seem to look good.

4. The starters, yeah, I should change one to Psychc, I originally had Smoochum as a starter when this was a FireRed hack, but, I'll probably change Houndour to some Psychc type, maybe Ralts or Abra (Edit it to learn something other than Teleport)?

I'd rather you type out a long, well thought out critique like you did rather than "OMGZ, SO AWZOEM" or "OMGZ SO GAY, DUR HUR".

Thanks, actually as of right now the story is the only thing complete right now, I spent Thursday or Friday completely outlining the story.
Yeah, I'm well aware of Pichu, I'll shink ones like that. I didn't shrink Sceptile due to it being 5'7, which is taller than the Player.

I named it DarkCopper, because I could've named it Dark, but it just didn't feel right to me. Plus, I figured why not make a name like FireRed, LeafGreen, HeartGold and SoulSilver?

About it being on Emerald, I've tried multiple hacks on Ruby, and for this hack, I tried on FR/LG. So, I decided to give Emerald a chance.

Yeah, I'm okay at mapping, but not that great, either. I'm planing on changing the already changed Grass tiles and the Tree tiles, the Pokémon Center, Mart, Gym, etc.

Yeah, I'm well aware the maps could be better. I wanted to add Zoroa/Zoroark since they're pretty cool in my opinion. Plus, the fact to show I'm not lying when I said "There'll be 5th generation Pokémon in here".

As a replacement starter, why not insert Mime Jr.? There's very few Psychic types that have two Pokemon in the evolutionary line (which is what the other two Pokemon have). You could go with Mime Jr., or... Maybe... Drowzee, or Natu, or.. SPOINK!
Go with Spoink, that'd be sweet:D
Anyway, I know what you mean when you say you alternated from Ruby to Fire Red to Emerald, that's how it happened for me, too.
... By the way, Wichu made a de-cap patch for each Rom (ie, each Rom that is hacked, ie Ruby, Fire Red, Emerald, if I'm not mistaken). You could just use that, rather than doing it all yourself.

Spoink is interesting choice but I think it's kinda weak... but it's best of them I guess :) as for Natu... I wouldn't do it since it'd have more effective attacks on Riolu.

Is Zoroa really either from 3rd or 4th gen or a just a fakemon :O ?

he is fifth generation, so is zoroark

It is very unusual not having the starters at Level 5. Dont know about the fifth gen to comment. Im planning to stick to the first 350 and/or fakemon if I ever make a hack

I may go with with any of the choices you picked, I'll update it when I get Houndour changed. It may sound dumb; but, I'd rather de-captialize myself, since I'll have to change the dialouge anyways, too.

Yeah, I thought, I'd make it different. As of right now Zoroa and Zoroark are the only fifth gen Pokémon revealed. All the Pokémon in this game are replaced randomly, so there's replaced Pokémon from Kanto, Johto and Hoenn.

I may add a list on the first post to show the changed Pokémon.

That's the main reason I posted them up, to see which ones work and which don't. I was planning on re-designing the custom ones as it is, but wanted to see a few opinions first.

Back when DP was first coming out people using Turtwig, etc. when only their Japanese names were available, I'm going to change it to its English name once that's revelaed in about a year. Who knows, we might get another Riolu/Lucario thing going on where their English and Japanese names are the same.

Might as well add progress, I'm about to start re-mapping Silver Village, so basically, I'm almost to the point I was when this was on FireRed, and I've only been hacking Emerald since this late Saturday?

I may make a tutorial on how to make new items.

This screen shows your first encounter with Team Death also a little bit of Silver Path. Obviously the overworld is just a placeholder.

Also, for people who don't like the tree tiles, look what changed.

The L battle, also shows a glitch that just started showing up, the arrow has glitchy blocks under it, does anyone know where that arrow is in Tlp, Tilemolester, etc. It's starting to bother me.

A Death Note? It'll have to do with the plot, so it's not randomly placed there. You have to pick it up to go farther into Mt. Shinigami and the game.

Part of the 3rd floor of Mt. Shinigami. This is where you battle some Team Death grunts. The 4th floor will have the exit and a certain event, this is also where the Death Note somewhat comes into play.

Trey's sprite has been slightly re-designed and fully inserted into the game. I also changed "Leader" to "Gym Leader" to fit with the Japanese games, plus "Gym Leader" fits, there was really no reason to shrink it down to just "Leader"

You can now evolve Eevee into Umbreon and Espeon with the Sun and Moon Stones. I know I should just keep since I have "Day and Night" in the game, but eh, I wanted to make it easier. You can also buy the stones at regular marts now and you can find Eevee's on Diamond Path.

Also, to keep Trainer sprites consistent, all Trainers (except, the Player Characters and Death Grunt) in this game are getting new DPPHGSS styled sprites. All "People" overworlds will remain RSE style (Pokémon will have their HGSS overworlds".

I just finished a Team Magma sprite (Tabitha), Courtney, Maxie and the Grunts are next. Then Team Aqua will come after them, other trainers, so on and so fourth.

You might get to write a name in at the end of the game. But, you really won't use it since you're the "good" guy.

I finally got around to editing in Team Death's Grunts overworlds. I can't use NSE on this computer (I used Overworld Editor RE for Team Death's), that's why I haven't edited the Hero's yet.

I also got the Male Magma Grunt re-sprited and into the game. Things seem to be coming along nicely.

I think you should change the tiles. Use D-P or HG-SS tiles they are very good. It will look better on your game.

Showing small progress on the screen, I'm currently attempting to replace the Pokémon Logo, with the one you can see on the first post. Also, will replace Rayquaza.

I accidentally deleted the ROM's most recent copy, so, no more Shinigami Path, I already re-mapped Mt. Shinigami and added back in all the sprites that weren't in the back-up copy. I'm actually glad it happened, I can re-do Shinigami Path and no more glitchy stuff under the arrow!

The Team Rocket event in Green Town. Just showing that I've got everything implemented in for them and I made new RSE styled overworlds for them too. They just love to reminsine about Giovanni, can you blame them?

Also, I've finally got movesets edited, so Lucario, etc. Have their proper movesets.

Since I can't get the Aura Stone to work, Lucario evolves with a Sun Stone.

I almost got to the the 3rd Gym Leader's City, so that may me Alpha soon. No promises, but I'll release something eventually.

I've also switched the Gym Leader Theme with the Frontier Brain theme.

I don't like the tiles, they look too similar to the ones in emerald.
Some of them haven't even been changed yet. with nice new tiles, it'll look much more attracting. your mapping is okay, no empty spaces and such.
the hero's backsprite needs improvement, it looks like his hair is going right down the middle of his face.
the OWs are good, I like your attempt at a custom TR one.
Yay, Zorua and Zoroark!
Oh, and how did you insert their movesets?
Nobody knows their moves or anything, so did you just guess?
You've made fast progress, up to the 3rd GYM already.
I haven't seen much scripting, but so far it looks good.
Most of your sprites look good, apart from L.
It's a good hack, overall, and I hope to see more of it!

I like this hack! Keep it up! Nice idea to add a fifth gen Pokemon, but wouldn't it be a bit different with your starters only evolving once?

It looks like brandon with a dark spirit for hair or something..

Yeah, I'm not that great of a tile inserter, it took me a while to even get the FR/LG tree into the game...

I was planning on re-do the Hero's Front and Backsprite. He'll still look like that, just, hopefully not a sloppy looking.

Just for, I slightly based Zoroa and Zoroark's moveset on Umbreon and a few other Dark-types.

Yeah, I re-did the Rocket Grunts overworlds in R/S/E's style since most don't like the mix of RSE and FR/LG overworlds in one game. Plus, I've been having a lot of fun with overworlds actually.

Yeah, I got a lot done after cramming in about 12 hours last night.

Not gonna lie as of right I've only got a few new scripts in as of right now. But, I wouldn't worry it should still feel different than the actual games. You've got more freedom in the beginning than you did in RSE.

Yeah, I'll probably need help improving L. If I try to edit it, it'll probably come out weirder than it already seems to be

Yeah, Riolu and Lucario are replacing Cacnea and Cacturne, so I had to oddly shirnk Lucario so it would fit without having to repoint it.

I know Darghosird's (His name's easy to remember once it's broken down Darkghostbird) Backsprite is odd right, I just have there for right now so it has a backsprite.

I actually made Ryuk as an 80 x 80 DP sprite, so I think shrinking it down to 64 x64 might have made it odd. Unless, you mean just how he looks. I wanted to make his eyes look somewhat like how they look like in DN's anime.

Yeah, I addressed the Hero backsprite problem on an earlier quote in this post.

Ryuk? Yeah, he's more of a massively recolored "Running" Triathlete with a few added spikes of hair. He only appears like 3 times in the game. So, I didn't think what his overworld looking like would matter. But, yeah, you're correct. It's kinda lazy. But, hey, I'm just glad I made progress.

Once I actually get to the city with the third gym, I think you guys might like it. I'm putting the Safari Zone in that city (Ruby).

I don't mean to be picky, or anything, but Zorua is spelled with a U, not an O. Just so you can have it spelled right in-game. Otherwise, it looks great, coming along well. Can't wait for the alpha!

Not exactly, I spell it Zoroa because I can read Katakana at least.

Zoroa in Katakana is ゾア, which is what the Katakana for the Pokémon's name is.

ゾ = Zo
ロ = ro
ア = a

Also, if you wanna get even more technical since it comes from the Spanish word for Fox, it probably should be Zorroa and Zorroark.

The name Zorua would be ゾ

ゾ = Zo
ル = ru
ア = a

I can see why you're saying that; but, in my opinion Zorua is a dumb Romanization because it's not really accurate to the Japanese. I personally think it was a case of "Oh, only Japanese will look at this, does it matter how we spell it in English". Plus, whoever was in charge of that probably thought "RU" in English = "ロ" in Japanese.

You can blame playing Emerald, Diamond, and SoulSilver in Japanese for me learning Katakana and Hiragana (I can read Hiragana, I just don't know what the translation for Hiragana comes out to).

Thanks, for showing interest though. I was actually glad I finally got to address the issue about the name of this Pokémon. But, ironically, it won't matter, because they'll probably rename the thing once it comes to English speaking players.

The conclusion of the Team Rocket event, you get rewarded with a wildbattle where you try to capture a Porygon-Z made by this lab, Lv. 20. Also, I've added Rocket Grunts in Green Town blocking Route 903, so you HAVE to go to the creation Lab to progress in the Game.

In Aura Cave which is on Route 903, you'll battle a Galactic Grunt there. Croagunk is an epic Pokémon, I also edited it's red pallete to make it Orange like the official art and the anime, yay.

I've already mapped up to the third Gym Leader's city. I've got all Eight Gym Leaders implemented, (team wise), getting close with sprites too.

Team Death, Rocket, Aqua, Magma and Galactic will appear at certain points in the game and near the end it'll all make sense.

Oh, here's the Ohsai map with a Key, so you have an idea of how you're gonna travel.

I'll also reveal where Gym's are located:

No.1 - Trey: Normal-type (Silver Village)

No. 2 - Alex: Ice-type (Blue City)

No. 3 - Raven: Dark-type (Ruby City) - Which I just finished mapping the actual city.

No. 4 - Katie: Psychic-type (Crystal City) - She's got a tough Pokémon on her team, at least for that point in the game.

No. 5 - Greg: Ghost-type (Platinum City)

No. 6 - Hollis: Fighting-type (Yellow City)

No. 7 - Ryan: Bug-type (FireLeaf City)

No. 8 - Andy: Dragon-type (DracheBall City)

Except for Trey and Raven all the Gym leaders are named after people I know. About 5 of them are based on the people too. Trey, however was named after Trey Parker, one of the creators of South Park.

So, Ohsai is inbetween the top of Hoenn and the left border of Johto.

I think the Zorua/Zoroa discrepancy comes from the way it's pronounced. Actually saying it, the sound is in between the U and O sounds, not a definitive either or. I prefer Zoroa, though. Looks a bit more like Zorro. ;)

But anyway, it's looking good, Furanki. Good to see you inserted Zoroa and Zoroark. The world map could use a little bit of work, though. It's a bit choppy and geographically improper, if you know what I mean by that. Try making small jags in the edges, and rounding out the corners a bit.

Yeah, your explaination for the "RU" actually makes sense. Yeah, the map as of right now is just a rough outline of what direction each city's going to be at. I still have a base map of it with no routes, cities, etc. on it, so I can always go correct it.

This isn't that much of an update, but a video showing little bits of Route 903 and battle with the 3rd Gym Leader Raven:



I actually went and referenced other languages, they may be rough translations into what I planned on having those two say, but I like how it turned out. Ohsai will actually have people speaking other langauges there. I may wanna try Japanese but due to Nintendo of America replacing some Katakana and Hiragana, that might be hard to do.

I mainly did this to show the switch Gym Leader music, I personally think that the Emerald Frontier Brain music is much more suited for an actual Gym Battle.

Oh, chrunch since you wanted to know Zoroa's moveset, here's what I came up with:

Lv. 1: Growl and Quick Attack, Pursuit
Lv. 7: Tackle
Lv. 10: Mean Look
Lv. 13: Moonlight
Lv. 17: Dig
Lv. 20: Headbutt
Lv. 24: Psychic

Zoroark's:
I haven't actually edited yet, but will pretty much be a more extensive moveset of Zoroa's.

Their ability is "Trace" I think its fitting due to Zoroark being able to shape-shift, at least in the new movie.

I'm also aware the maps connections aren't exactly correct right now.

Yeah, I also implemented an Icon for Zoroark, and completed its moveset. I'll post that later in the post.

This contains the battle with the 4th Gym Leader: Katie, this is one of the Gym Leaders based on people I know. So, I asked her before making her a Gym Leader, and she was cool with it. I knew she would, but I'd feel weird if I didn't ask though, haha. This also will show some of the twists in some people's teams within this game.

Lastly, Zoroark's Moveset (until its real one is revealed):

Latios isn't randomly in the wild. Katie has it, well, it'll get explained in-game. Plus, Team Rocket, when you get to Crystal Village which is the area where Katie's Gym is, it'll all tie in together. They heard of her Legendary Pokémon and want to steal it, because Team Rocket is just that badass.

Yeah, Zoroa evolves with a Moon Stone. Riolu now evolves with a Sun Stone.
Inner Aura's a custom move I created so there are more Aura moves to choose from. I still got change an attack into Aura Sphere though. I wouldn't call "Inner Aura" its signature move or actually, who knows, your choice.

Wow, I really haven't looked in this thread since a while...!^^ Well, awesome updates so far, especially the shiny Porygon-Z and Zorua and Zoroark. Your Fakemon look okay, too, but please don't make that many, I usually don't like Fakemon...^^ Your idea with basing off Gym Leaders from real people is cool, too, especially the thing that the 4th leader uses a Latios!^^ it makes the game much more challenging and realistic when some people use legendaries!^^

Oh, und die vielsprachige Route ist ne coole Idee!^^ Ach ja, und im Deutsch dagt man "ein Taubsi und ein Kramurx", "einen" sagen nur Noobs in Deutschland, die in Pokemon nicht drin sind!^^

Oh, and the multilanguage route is a cool idea!^^ And by the way, in german you say "ein Taubsi und ein Kramurx", "einen" only say noobs in Germany, that not are in Pokemon!^^

Yeah, I'm not that great at the language.But, I plan to learn it one day. I'm just glad that I actually looked up Pidgey's and Murkrow's German names so I didn't look like even more of a dumbass there. When I make releases, would it be possible for you to make a German translation, because I'd love to see it get translated.

I designed it to be the "Satan/Devil" Parallel to Arceus in the Pokémon world. I actually got inspired when I saw a Red colored-statue type object of a Chinese Dragon (which kinda looks like Shenlong from Dragon Ball) but, I thought, huh, I could expand on the God/Devil Parallel and could make a new Dragon-like legendary in the process. I gave it 6 different heads that all look different. That should be pretty obvious where that came from.


I put it in Spoiler tags, so anyone who doesn't want to know, they don't have to look at it.

I'm not gonna lie, it was hard to re-draw it as a 64 x 64 sprite. That drawing in the "spoiler" however was pretty easy. That was hand drawn by Sharpie (Black), Expo (Red) and Pencil (Gray-ish colors).

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I'm trying to make it worth having those 2 in. Obviously when the games come out and their movesets, etc. are actually revealed I will edit it accordingly.

Yeah, I actually do plan on an all around-Deoxys High Base stat totals on all of its stats.

Its got 6 heads. That was based of some Mythological creature, the having multiple heads part. I don't exactly know which one though.

Yeah, its kinda big for a 64 x 64, here's how the sprite turned out, I had it done awhile ago, but, I'll probably have somebody else re-do it.

The Player does speak, but not all that much. He/she isn't dead silent, but they're aren't exactly talkitive though. There is another trainer on that Route that makes the player go "What the hell?".

Yeah, it was supposed to be a devil-esque like Dragon or as you said, something that might scare a little child (girl). I also looked at certain parts of Dialga, Groudon, etc. and that was another thing that I put into consideration. Especially the eyes. Like I said before a few posts ago, it's very loosely based on a Chinese Dragon, one like Shenlong/Shenron from Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Kai.

I went with one of your names, and added credit to you in the first post.

So, I got its backsprite done too. So, that's completely edited expect for its Icon, but I'll get to that. Obviouslly, you won't catch it at level 13, it'll be an actual event in the game at Lv. 55.

I'll get the Map's for the next few areas and implement the 5th Gym Leader (Gym, Sprite).

Yeah, when I get all the text edited to the point of up to Crystal Village, I'll send you the "text table" in A-text that I've been using/making. For Jürgen, you could make his language English in the German translation and rename him Jordan, sounds close enough and still gets him across the same way. His dialouge is just the simple "I have a PIDGEY and a MURKROW.", etc. etc.

Yeah for the Fakémon for now I'm not gonna touch it, it was hard to get to what I've got in the game right now. I didn't add anymore heads to its backsprite since looking from that view I could really only fit 2.

Team Galactic's got a new leader/Boss, what happened to Cyrus? He's still in the game, just no longer the leader of Team Galactic. Earth will have a back story in-game explaining how he became leader of Team Galactic. This battle/event will take place in Pearl Forest, in between the Fourth and Fifth Gym Leaders (Beta 2 is when this event will be playable). Earth is looking around for Omegsekt a new, bug-type Legendary. He states "While it isn't the most useful legendary, we still can put it to use". I gave him a mix of Light Blue and Green hair to parody his name.

His Toxicroak which is technically under leveled. Both Croagunk and Toxicroak will be randomly catchable throughout Ohsai. I also made the same pallete change to Toxicroak making his poison sacs, claws, etc. Orange instead of Red.

Also, judging on my Outline of the game. There's still gonna be map left, so instead of just parts of Johto, I may include the entire region!

Just a small part of Pearl Forest and showing the Omegsekt event, I made it work like Ho-Oh's at Navel Rock, so once you step on the tile you see in the screenshot it'll come charge at you. It'll also sit there and wait to only you battle it.

I've also finally De-Capitalized all the Attack names a few days ago.

Also, since I know people from places other than America and Britain, may play this, I implemented accented letters at the "Your name?" screen:

The Groudon stature seems a little weird placed since it is on the middle of the way...^^ Maybe you should put it into the middle of the twon or something, but it's still awesome!^^ Will they play a bigger role in the story?^^

Yeah, I'll most likely move the statue. Also, I've started the German translation already. So far, I've edited: The Pokémon names, some of the battle text, the start menu text (Save, etc.) and I'll be editing items tomorrow.

I know this doesn't really count as an update, but I'll give some real updates on Friday when I have a bunch of time. Also, this week we're doing the OGT (Ohio Graduation Test), so that and having to go to play rehearsals explain why I haven't got that much progress don't this week compared to usual. Fun fact: Ohsai is actually named after Ohio (since I live there) and Kansai (in Japan), the way the region is going to look like now will also look like an rotated Ohio with alterations here and there. Believe it or not Game Freak would do this with (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and most likely the new 5th Gen. region), so I have basis for this.

I pulled a switch-a-roo on Omegsekt's name in German. In English its name ends with "Sekt" the way to spell insect in German. In its German name it gets "Über" from well, uber which if I remember correctly means "Super" so that works with the "Omega" part of Omegsekt's name and sect from "insect" in English,

So, that's 38 legendaries... (Possibly more, who knows, Haha, that's gonna be an annoyance to program in but it'll be worth it.

For trainers in-game, there'll be more with legendaries. For example, Ohsai doesn't have a Pokémon League, but it has Champ Tower, but that doesn't mean there isn't an Elite 4/Pokémon League in this game. Why, because you're gonna get to go to a 2nd region!

Also, since you're helping translating Lati-Fan95, you'll pretty much get to play the game a few days before everyone else does.

I'm thinking about over the weekend, just cramming in a few nights of just hacking. If I really wanted to I could at least program up to the Levialypse event. So, you still get to do the battle against all the teams at one (Death, Rocket, Galactic, etc.).

I'm also thinking about putting random places in the game where you can talk to a guy so if you want some easy to get shinies you can. You won't even be forced to talk to him, completely your choice.

Wow!^^ Legendaries are overflowing!^^ Epic, just like Reign of Legends!^^ Well, but will you be able to catch Arceus after you've caught every other legendary (except for Levialypse!^^) After you caught it, a script with Arceus (directly after you left Arceus' catching place!^^ ) could happen that it senses that a gate to hell (or darkness) has opened!^^ You go there then and "descend into the darkness to save the world from the pure evil"!^^

The german translation looks pretty neat so far!^^ It's pretty cool you even made a german name for Omegsect!^^ Only two small mistakes: In german games, HP (Hit Points) is KP (Kraftpunkte) and after a "-" the beginning letter is usually capitalized!^^ And thanks for the help, I highly appreciate it!^^

I'm well aware of the "KP" situation, I just never had the text before since I never had to change it in English. It's KP now.

I checked what you said about the moves you were right, when I initially checked the German names for attacks I just had a long list from Bulbapedia, but the second halves weren't capitalized. I checked the actual pages for said moves they were capitalized. So, yeah, that's been changed too.

I hadn't originally thought of it, but I may actually do the Levialypse vs. Arceus story within the actual story.

I might change them, I reluctant to due to the fact, I've tried to edit the Pkmn Center and the tiles didn't match up. But, I'm slowing editing tiles. But, speaking of tiles, this one hasn't been switched, but the pallete has been massively edited.

This is in Gold Village, a very small village, only has a few houses, a lot of trees, and a Pokémon Center/Mart:

It also has this building, look at the window, that show give away what this building is.

I've also found that I can mix the two tree tiles together when mapping. So you'll see trees in game that have the top of the FR/LG tree and the bottom of the custom tree and vice-versa.

I planned on getting a lot done this weekend, but that didn't happen, hopefully next weekend.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. But, I intentionally wanted the building to look extremely oddly colored and out-of-place.

This is a real update, sorry, I'm hoping Friday, when I go to my Dad's office, is when real updates should start happening again.

But, I want your guys' opinion. I've been in the mood to revamp, so I've been taking sprites from Gold/Silver and actually revamping them. I'm using HG/SS sprites as the source for colors and re-vamping the sprites themselves. (However, I'm not going to re-index most of the sprites cause I don't wanna mess with the regular/shiny palletes. So, in game, it's Emerald's colors. On the unindexed sprite it's HG/SS's). This way I can get HG/SS like sprites, while being the original GSC sprites. Since they're the GSC sprites, I can just make them bigger to 64 x 64 (RSE/FRLG size). So, here 2 I've done:

Yeah, the Galactic building in D/P/P was slight inspiration for this, at least the part about being out in the open.
