they're pretty good. the texts are pixely and watch out for the feathering on the pictures.
nice job |
Thanks guys.
what do you mean "feathering"? |
Well, I won't give more advanced advice since you're only starting.
They're not too bad if it was just the first few days or week, and I think you should focus more on your GIMP program, since it's the closest you have to Photoshop. Even though it's more complicated than the other programs, just mess about with the options in it and you can learn that way. That is just my opinion though. Now, for the graphics part. The best there would probably be the Zoroark one, since the colours are fitting and the text is fitting better than the others. I think you should just keep practicing, and make your backgrounds better, then after that, move onto render blending and placement, because you shouldn't just have the render on top and that's it. I also think that you should leave out the text now, since it's kind of ruining most of your work, so yeah, leave it out, and over time, learn how to put it right and not have it huge and the focal point. Lastly, if you're stuck at what to do to make things better, try some tutorials. |
Thanks, that got me thinking! But which one is easier to use, GIMP or Photoshop?
It depends really. Apparently a lot of people find Photoshop easier, it's just on personal preference.
Ok. I'll try to see if I can download photoshop and try it out.
Well, I agree with Aizuke, it's a personal preference. But most people find Photoshop easier because most people use it. Also, I don't think either of them would be easy when first using them, it just gets easier as you use it.
Ok. Thanks a lot for the help :) but I have one problem that annoys me. I don't know how to do stylish backgrounds. If you haven't noticed, that ones I made were very simple. How do you make backgrounds like the one in AtomicoExploda's sig?

Once again, done in gimp. I think I'm progressing (at least I hope so!) |

Yeah I'm starting to play around with those, I just downloaded a pack with tons of them. Thanks!
They are a bit plain and flat. Try some C4D's, or a different style. Play around with it and try new things and keep practicing and you'll get better before you know it.
Hmm ok, next one to come up will be with a c4D.
~Added a new creation. The first one has visible c4D's but I smudged the c4D in the second one. Belissimo!
nice works.. XD... nice..
Lol thanks! I use c4Ds in all my new creations now.
~ Added a new creation. I still want to improve my smudging and use of fonts, but I find this one pretty cool.
looks cool, did you used photoshop?
Thanks :3 No I don't use Photoshop.

~ Added a new creation. Onigiri! :3
